Can anyone tell me if the same process & tools are needed/available for an A.V. pump of similar build & specs.(any shop in the mountain west recommendation?) My local pump guy said he needed to tear down the crank case to redo the oil seals from the inside. While I hate to buy new when something can be rebuilt, it does not make sense to spend $150 on rebuild when a new one is $180.
search for 20 32 5.5 joints or 22 32 5.5 if the pistons diameter is 22mm. It cost about 3€ each so with 15€ you should be good for the 3. You can download the plan here so you can search for other parts if needed. www.hydro-m2ac.com/Catalogue_4795-.aspx
those are custom made tools by them, they sell them for an obsurd price, like 150€ each. So you'll save money doing without it unless you fix 10 pumps/day. You can pull the seal with a screw to remoove it (it will kill the seal but we are changing it anyway) there is videos on youtube explaining how to remoove this type of seals.
Lots of special tools needed. By the time you pay for parts and tools you could buy a new one. They are less than $600
