After 4 long years, an end of an amazing era has finally come and I would like to thank the cast and crew who made that film possible. I really liked how Uma took charge in this video. Everyone started to run when the knights came to life, but she immediately stood on the podium ready to fight. I think she definitely knew what she was doing. I'm glad they worked together.

Yall just realized now? It was obvious since the first movie. Mal got all the attention amd Evie became a fan favorite and was another female so why not give her character more meaning. Carlos's character lacked after the first movie and Jay... lord they barely did shit with him but give him temporary love interests. Descendants had so much potential had they not focused so much of Maleficent's daughter but rather the rest of the fairytails.
Agreed. Mal and Evie were the mains and after the second movie Uma joined them, Carlos and Jay were just kinda there. Really just a movie with girl main characters and a bunch of guys supporting them. Ben didn't even have a big role in this movie, he was just supporting and had zero songs lol.

Descendants was my childhood. I got introduced to it the winter before the sequel and I was in love. I sticked with the fandom for as long as the series lasted, and was devastated when Cameron died. While I may have grown out of the series itself, I still listen to the music and remember the era in my life where I finally accepted myself.

The harmony in this song is amazing. However it was a full two months before I could enjoy this song because I missed Cameron Boyce so badly. Now I regularly jam out to this every day.

1:12 They could've made Jay and Carlos sing these parts maybe. It was sung well by Mal and Uma but I think Carlos and Jay need a singing part.

I know this series is directed at girls but I really wish the guys had more story arcs, screen time, and especially more singing time with the songs. Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Dylan Playfair, Thomas Doherty, and even Mitchell Hope, who sings probably the most of the guys (I think?) are all extremely talented. Carlos and Jay really only had proper story line focus in the first movie, and I don't think Jay really has since. Harry and Gil have had no subplots other than taking orders from Uma, and Gil is only really ever around when the other two are, unlike Harry who has been lurking on his own o few times. If Cameron and Booboo ever get solos in songs it's only the first and last ones, and if they are ever even in any of the others they just sing in the background with everyone else. Dylan has never had a solo in a song, at least Thomas has had two. Even Evie gets less plot lines any more. We could've done more between Harry and Jay, have them have a history like Mal and Uma, maybe they grew up and got in fights on the street all the time and they were often with each other. Have that be a driving point for Harry, maybe Jay more often than not beat him, and Harry wants his turn to be the winner. Or maybe Harry picked on Carlos all the time and targeted him and Jay saw this one time and scared Harry off and that's how those two became friends. It would be so nice to have more story with them to see more of there motivations besides Harry and Gil just doing what Uma says and Jay, Carlos, and Evie just doing what Mal says. At least Gil is more believable to be a character that really does follow whomever is giving orders, but maybe he even has his reasons. Maybe he has a heart to heart moment with one of the main four, or even Harry, and just tells a story along the lines of Uma pulled me out of a dark place with my parents, or I had no friends until Uma came around because nobody wanted to hangout with the stupid kid. Harry definitely needs reasons to be taking orders from Uma cause his character seems even more like I'll do what I want when I want. Even if it's as simple as Uma came to him after (this is apparently a story line that has never been on screen confirmed but has happened in the past) Mal dumped him and they became friends based on their burning hatred for her. It would be so nice to develop these characters more like they have with Mal. I know she is THE main character, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the others are also main characters. And having them more prominent in songs would be amazing. Or give them songs where they have the lead solo. Or have a duet with BooBoo and Cameron, or Thomas and Dylan. Even in this song it would be nice to have them have solos too. It's not like they all hate each other because Mal and Uma hate each other. They all have there own reasons to distrust each other. Instead of every time they aren't all singing together or Sofia isn't singing you could have two of those slots given to Dylan and Cameron, and Thomas and Booboo arguing, or Dylan and BooBoo, and Thomas and Cameron arguing. It would've made the song much more interesting than it already is. I love these movies and this song but they would be even better having given the boys more to do and tell. Unfortunately we will never get that now that the series has come to an end. Whether the franchise was planned to only be a trilogy or to have more movies it now won't either way without Cameron. It wouldn't be right. RIP Cam.
I agree with you !!! The guys deserved more attention, all four of them are my favorite characters and I wanted them to get more screen time or at least one or two songs in which the girls are not singing or just a little. I love the movies but I really think its unfortunate that the girls are more prominent than the boys. I really whish they had their own story.
