I started with Dreaming Spanish exactly one year ago though I already watched some UA-cam videos about Spanish for beginners in my native language before. And yesterday I reached level 5 with 600 hours. It's so interesting to see guys who have just started. Keep going, you won't regret it. Today I'm able to understand many documentaries and UA-cam videos in Spanish. But it's still a long way to go to understand TV shows and movies completely.

@MushiesWorldI'm at 712 hours now and I'm watching a sitcom dubbed in Spanish and I'm able to follow the story line and understand most of the jokes.. M

@@raydosson2025 I'm at 815 hours now and I'm able to understand fast spoken Spanish, but it has to be clear. There are still advanced videos that I struggle with, por ejemplo de Michelle o Jostin. I understand most UA-camrs that I'm interested in and can watch while movies dubbed in Spanisch if the storyline isn't complicated.

I really enjoyed your video! I found your channel from Angela Learns Spanish. Cannot wait to see any new videos you make and updates you’ll have!

Great update. It's so cool that you're starting to record your progress so early. These are going to be great for you to go back to when you're doing better.
If you want to do Anki, the best would be the Refold Spanish deck. It's not free, but probably the best thing out there.

Hey congrats mate. I’ve just started dreaming Spanish, so I’m still doing the early super beginner videos. I can’t wait to get to the other levels and listen to more natural videos as well.

Good luck on your journey man!! I'm at 900 hours, Dreaming Spanish was a Godsend. Olin the beginning you said you were trying to understand, I think you missed the description where Pablo says you're not supposed to "try" to understand, simply just listen and enjoy. Your brain is learning 1% of hundreds of words, not one word at a time. He also recommended not to watch videos that you find boring, immediately find something that interests you. I watch a lot of Andrea the Mexicans videos because she puts a lot of effort in trying to make them entertaining

Thanks for sharing I'm glad I found your channel because I'm just getting started too. I'm at 37 hours with dreaming Spanish. I stay at my goal of 15 minutes and if I feel like watching more I do. I have watch all of the super beginner videos and I am considering subscribing. I duo lingo as well to get some grammar in and I have a Spanish book as well called complete step by step Spanish I like it is pretty simple and not so overwhelming. But so far so good for me I have not got tired of it just yet and I'm sticking with it. Thank you keep up the good work.❤❤❤ Anyone else has good resources for beginners please share. Thanks

Ey bro, I'm an English learner and I'm just amazed about how you doing. The only thing I can say is that I can relate. Bro, I do actually teach Spanish for fun 'cause I'm in 10th grade, and I really think that you have immesurable potential. I guess that you could improve even faster with a little help. I could be glad to share with you a few tips to gain pronunciation skills, just because you've inspired me with your jorney. ¿Cómo lo ves?

Ah, that's what you said! I replayed it a couple of times thinking: what is he saying?? 😅 You've probably heard Agustina say "soy de Argentina" about a hundred times by now, so it's an easy mistake to make! Especially since there's no translations anywhere to correct you. Which is a good thing of course, since you want to learn to listen without translating in your head.

@@blesseddivaangel I'm 15 hours away from 50 marker, (had a couple stops due to work and such)but for the last 2 weeks I've consistently meg my 40 mins a day goal, so far I must admit there are times I feel like I'm not learning anything, but in the last 2 days I switched from super beginner to beginner videos and wow I can see the difference. When I first started beginner videos were really not easy for me but I can see improvements, I got the premium account and that helped a lot
No lie sometimes I doze off but I'm keeping at it and what makes me know it's working is sometimes they will say a word and I instantly know what the word is but i dont know how I know it. I'm converted!

@@servantofthetruth8203 hit 50 and it's great! This method works, I've spent so much money on other methods but this is the only one that sticks I dont have to parrot fashion learn and forget. I just watch and consume content it feels so easy but it works
I am aiming for 300 hours because apparently at that point one can listen to podcasts and not need to watch or see visuals to understand. And I took a break due to a holiday which is why it took time to get to 50 hours but now that I am thrilled that some videos I didnt understand previously I am able to get what they are saying. The first 50 hours is the hardest because now I know I can do this I do 45 mins a day

I know you said you wanted to start with past and future conjugations but trust me. You should just practice all the conjugations simultaneously because there are two past tenses that are used to express different ideas and every conjugation is used all the time. It will be a lot of initial work but there’s no reason to learn a few conjugation at a time as it won’t really serve you well. Think about the fact that at the level you are at in super beginner/beginner you are already hearing present, past, subjective conditional, and every other conjugation. Each tense has patterns that once you familiarize yourself to them every verb follows the same patterns.
