That's on my shelf also! I have a few thousand books from 30 years of 'serious' work (makes excellent internal wall insulation!). The idea is to 'randomly' pick, but as you can see from the list, my bias is definitely in there :-) I may get back to Bookchin at some point -- but not before I've knocked-off a few other figures such as Kropotkin. Malatesta, Graeber, etc.
RIP Graeber - but post PKK Ocalan is the future. Democratic Confederalism. And I honestly believe that the Situationists, despite their many faults, were well ahead of their time...

Thing have worth because of the want or need of things and those things level of difficulty to obtain. We're moving int o an era in which many of our needs and wants will be very easy to obtained leading us into a post scarcity era. This will also end the need for planned obeisance in the products that are considered matured/perfected in the tech and production. Seems a kind of socialism will exist which as long as we can keep all of our rights, itd be ok with most. So much more to be said but its so in-depth its a pain.

Sorry, no list; and the images are only a small selection of the shelves near to my desk. I keep thinking I should make an inventory, but it would be a huge amount of effort for the very large number of books I have. It's taken 40 years, my 'career' as an activist and researcher, to create my physical library. The digital one on my server -- predominantly journal papers, reports & ebooks to support my writing & research -- is even larger. It's why I started to make these videos: Partly to share some 'ignored' older texts; and because I can easily run off 10 to 15 reviews a year for the next 20 years without running-out of material -- which is an ideal basis for a UA-cam channel!!
@@BobVanBobbins Yeah, that book was about a decade ahead of the debate -- and is still ignored today. That's why I've started to do these reviews: It's a really easy way to knock out something useful by just leaning over and picking a favourite book; and hence really easy way to feed UA-cam's 'popularity contest' algorithm to draw more attention to my more "difficult" content.
Fantastic work on this video. Subscribed. Will be watching more.
When it comes to political theory, practice and philosophy in the Anglosphere, your channel is by far one of the best out there!
{speechless}
Biji Ocalan! Keep these coming... The Next Revolution is also a great introduction to Bookchin's ideas. 🤘
That's on my shelf also!

New to the channel, and instantly invigorated. Looking forward to digging deeper.
"Why have a paper copy?" Because it's hard to read 200+ pages whilst sitting at a computer desk.
Very interesting & educational video . Thank u !
Thank you
The imperfect, yet highly implacable dark horse of post-capitalist theory. The leninist cultists have ignored him at their (and our) peril.
