That was a blast from the past! I have a Gt8 and a Gt100 in my closet, thanks to you I'll be firing up my Gt8 for fun! It was nice to see that the Gt8 could still surprise you after all these years.
I still use my GT-8 now and then despite owning a Helix floor as well. Some of my presets I have in there are still really good after all these years. I think the pedal ages very well.
Love it. I use my GT8 too again after a decade. The delays, Chorus, actually most fx are up to par with whatever quality Product is out there nowadays. There is a preamp in the GT8 called "Edge Lead". with low gain it sounds fantastic and is alot of fun. Not bad for 20 year old tech.
I just started messing around with my 19 yo Boss GT-6 and found out that it can actually produce some nice rock and metal tones. However, I still haven't been able to find a decent clean tone. When I initially bought the GT-6 I found it way too complicated and although I used it for a ton of gigs, all the tones were kind of accidental. Lost all my old tones when the internal battery died. Now that I am more familiar with using pedals/amps, getting tones is much easier and I'm finding a new love for the GT-6.
I think it still sounds great! As far as I know Nuno Bettencourt still uses a Boss GT8 Live for its effects. If it’s still good enough for Nuno, it should be plenty good enough for me.

Just like you I took out my GT-8 about a month ago and was shocked by my old presets. After two minutes I decided to do a factory reset and started playing with the preamp controls, Dual Rectifier to see if I could get out some clean Foo Fighters sounds from the The Colour and the Shape / TINLTL era. This time taking the time and studying the manual. Damn this thing amazes me. It's not state of the art but for some home recording and practicing it is very usable, and I think I wouldn't even be ashamed to use it on a demo recording. I use a gt8 straight through the PA, and I can nail all the classic rock tones. I am currently testing an Ampero One, but in my opinion, it’s not as good as the Boss.

For over a year.. I've been debating on buying a new multi processor or getting something old school.. About 3 weeks ago, I stumbled on one of these for about $125 that I snagged right away.. I'm so happy I did.. this thing might be as old as yours lol. Going through all those presets was a nice blast of nostalgia and there's plenty of room to update some new tones with keeping the old school stuff there too :)
Hi Kris. I still keep everything that i buy over the years. I have the Boss GT-5 and the IBANEZ PUE5 TUBE that i buy in 1992 and still got the price tag in the back!!! The Ibanez is fantastic, still use it today
A friend of mine has been gigging this and an American Sound straight into the Desk of a PA system since 2010, massive sound and he is a phenomenal player so that helps too I suppose lol
I loved the GT-8 when i had it, it's easily the best looking one. It was wrong place wrong time for me though, i kept trying to use it with a Marshall stack and there was just no need. I never used the physical knobs enough and was ways trying to us two preamps instead of just getting one good one. The fx were great though.
Sounds as good as all the new modelers. I used a Boss GT 10 on my last gig. It did some things really well. It made it easier to play with less tap dancing. It sounded better than my very expensive pedal board. It felt a little weird in the fingers. I'm wondering if there is something better.
I'm still rockin' the GT-8! I've just never run out of interesting finds when messing with different chains, I've been making my AC-30 sound like all sorts of interesting amps. Impressive for such an old pedal.
I have a GT-1 I just got and I absolutely love it. I dig the higher end GX-100 and GT-1000, but this works perfectly for me. It has WAY more gain than I'd ever use in a million years. I usually use the Combo Crunch or OD-1 + Stack or 1959 and overdrive pedal boost and they sound amazing for my needs. I go for classic rock and 80s hard rock tones, not full on metal. Very tube-like feel. Great cleans too. The built-in tuner works great.

I recently found my Zoom 505 II... I’m both scared and curious to plug it in! 😂😂😂 Awesome video, my friend!! Some good sounds there. And it’s really interesting to see how our taste and knowledge change through the years. Oh, and this video reinforces my constant statement that you can make anything sound really good! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Also, it was a lot of fun watching you go through the sounds you use to use as compared to what you like nowadays. When I think back on some of the tones I used to use 20 years ago to what I like now makes me think “what in the world was I thinking?!” 😂
I too have alot of older pedals like that...I go through and play all mine often just to make sure that all still work properly and to have a fun fresh ear on the sounds I used to use. I used to own the boss gt-8 too...im still always keeping my eye out to buy another one maybe...? great video !!! you rock !!!
I have a Boss GT6 that i use in the effects loop of my Peavey Bandit 112 Red Stripe. In my humble and modest opinion, i use the Boss GT6 only for Chorus, Delay, Reverb and Phaser. But for the first apart from a friend of mine, you are the first person that i saw getting an awesome tone out of the Preamps of a BossGt. Well done! ☺ Best Regards
Interesting video! Clearly these things can sound really great in the right context. I don't have one of these type of boards myself but some wonderful, toneful music has been made with them Angelo Bruschini from Massive Attack used a Boss GT5 for example.
I just played my GT-5 after many years. It had analog drives. It sounds great as a pedal board into a clean amp. If you have an old MFX / amp modeler like this, turn off the speaker sims and send the output to your favorite amps FX return.
Ciao Kris, I've been called in lately to play a couple of shows where you need to play completely with in-ear monitors, and no cabinet on stage, so I dusted off an old 2002 Boss GT6...basically made your same process of "gain reduction...and new EQ setting " and creating more modern presets...and the tone was fantastic, ok I know very well that a new machine has different performances...( in my home i use Neural DSP plugin...) but without spending a euro I brought home a good result, Always bearing in mind that there could be 2/3 people in the audience who understand the difference between a beautiful tone and a very very beautiful tone...Greetings from Italy Kris.
I am a beginner and I’ve been self learning for approximately 2 years, my neighbor just gave me the gt-8, so far it’s a lot to take in not knowing anything about it, but it sounds great, I love it, between that and my Marshall and line 6 spider half stack, it’s easy to get the sound I want
I see Kris has gone digital with almost 15 year old equipment😂😂 You really got me onto something! I will check the attic for my line 6 pod on the weekend! This is going to be awesome!
Well done, I like that you kept the signal chain simple . Both guitars sound fabulous, the active PUps on the esp are hotter (signal-wise) and clearer, but both sound great. I’d imagine that the main difference between the two is the feel and playability. I love both of these guitars.
This just popped up for me. The GT-10 still has good tones. Like any multi-effects, you just have to spend some time with it. As for old gear found, Zoom 9000S!
Boss had good stuff back then and for decades really. I never owned a multi unit but I heard a few Bosses that sounded really good. I might’ve had a Boss DD-2 pedal. I pulled out and old tube screamer several years ago.... we all know how good those sound.
Nice sounds, I still use the GT-8 today. Basically as the pre-amp and then going in the returns of my Marshall valvestate 8200 stereo combo. Would you consider of making the patches downloadable?
You could see your muscle memory of the GT8 coming back rapidly as you used it. After the fantastic tone you just got from it, it makes me question if newer generations of multi effects have really improved that much. 😀 Mind you my line 6 V2 tells me that things have definitely improved since then 😂
line 6 was nowhere near Boss back in the days. I ran the GT8 and Floor Pod side by side for half a decade. line 6 today is a whole other beast. but the GT8 is time tested... was good back then. still good today. but it doesn't have a looper, so I'm looking at the Helix everyday sitting on the toilet 😅😅😅😅😅
I owned the GT-8 but let it go for the studio rack convenience of the GT-Pro/ the "Guitars & Stripes" patch in the GT-8 was the best Hendrix emulation I've heard !!!
@@vale_ri0 LOL! ... I wish it were that easy. The save button broke. I replaced the GT6 with a Headrush unit a few months ago. It seems to be doing everything I need for home demos and noodling around.
i´m starting to believe that these Boss Multi-fx will survive apocalypse 😂 My Boss Gt5 bought 20 years ago still works , very interesting how a person changes ,testing my own patchs i realize how over seasoned everything was ( even factory patchs ) well ... i guess i grew up a little 🙊 , It sounded great , great video , thanks 😀
My bf-2 flanger back in 2014. I think also my DD5? I could have just lost that. My GE7 pedal switch got jammed up and i had to solder a new switch on. I got old gear and if it ain't broke don't fix it, can't fix it sell it to someone who can.
When I was doing a music course at college, we had a small version of one of these in the rehearsal rooms. I remember them sounding okay, they were okay for the application they were being used for

I still use my GT8, despite buying the GT1000. The modulated delay and compression on the GT8 are way ahead of the GT1000. I've been trying to replicate my GT8 settings for months now and apart from a few dual amp distortion settings , the GT1000 cannot compete. Absolutely amazing piece of kit and built to last. Also I prefer the foot switches on the GT8. Easier on bare feet!
Same here man, still using my GT-8 every now and then and still digging it after all these years. I own a Helix Floor as well, but still the GT-8 has something magical i think. I won’t get rid of it any time soon.
Habha Chris to funny I just went to help my brother guess what he gave me you guessed it this very pedal and I remembered seeing this video lmao I'm glad you did this cause hey yah know what I'm sure it will be fun lol man thanks my friend Tim from london 🇨🇦
I bought one of these a long time ago. I just couldn’t get it to sound good and the set up was just beyond my patience. I just couldn’t get the graininess out of my rhythm tones. I still have it sitting in its gig bag.
This was a really interesting video to watch, most probably, because I have a somewhat similar situation. I play cover songs with older, 50+ or 60+ guys nowdays, and they don't like loud tube amplifiers at all, even the drum is digital (Roland V-drum). Everthing is connected to the mixer at the rehearsals, the volume level is quite low. I had to do something about the situation, so I quickly got my hands on a Korg AX1500G for 50 Euros, which was my daily driver back from 2005 till 2008. I remember cranking up the gain all the way till 80% or sometimes till 90%, when I tried it now, I was like "what was I thinking back then?'. The Marhsall Sim is good to go with 23% or 27% Gain, even the Lead settings are rarely over 40% :). I'm gonna upgrade to a Kemper Stage once the lockdown ends and we can have gigs again, but it's tons of fun fooling around with the AX1500G at the moment. Btw I have read somewhere, that these old-school processors tend to work much better with single coils, as they cannot always handle the higher output levels from a humbucker consistently. I can only confirm this, my Telecaster sounds way better than my trusty old Gibson LP when I'm using the Korg. Maybe you should do a test run for the GT-8 with your CS Tele as well ;) Ps.: My old Rectifier High-gain presets used to be called "RECCS1" und "RECCS2" back in the day. Hungarian codenames ftw! ^^
You dialed in a very nice sounding patch there ! I still use my GT-pro that i got in 2005 which is the rack version of the GT-8 that has a bit more IO, but i use it with a Mesa rack tube poweramp and guitar cab.
Thanks a lot Stefan! These old Boss units were way ahead of their time. After all these years I still believe this was Boss’ golden era of multi effects. 🥳
Just bought a line 6 pod x live, off e bay can’t afford a helix. Pretty impressive settings on these, lots of options I don’t have on my pedal board plus amp modeling.
I still use mine for Electric and it sounds great, very versatile with good cleans going into a tube amp. However does anyone have any tips for how to use it with a piezo equipped acoustic guitar so there isn’t fizz on the decay when running straight to the board?
@@EdKidgell Thanks, that’s what I figured out- turned the preamp section off and it fixed it. It’s nice to still have the secondary EQ, overdrives, compression, limiter, chorus etc. ability for different patches.
I've got a Boss GT-6, and it still sounds good, but the pots are going bad so using it is not practical. I replaced it with an HX Stomp. There is an improvement in the fidelity and ease of use. Still, the old Modelers were able to produce surprisingly good tones.
Still use it and rock it, have to change the battery tho, but i take the amp in the effect chain of the pedal, i was able to control it with the footswitch output that change the clean/dist chanel, that was so awesome
The best function was the range octaver. You could set it up that only the E, A and D string had the octave down. I always used it in manual mode (without amp sim) with a nice amp. Had the best sound on stage - better than some metalheads with their Kemper. Sadly it was stolen…! But who steals a Boss Gt-8?
The GT8 is great when it plug in 4 wires method and combine the software gt8 via midi to control the max of this pedal. In 2 wires the sound is not so great. Try the 4 wires method, right fx chain order and listen the difference. ;)
GT8 is still very good. The speaker emulations technology has gotten better since it was released, so you can experiment with current IR's (e.g. Torpedo), and many of the amp modeling's in this unit is still quite capable. Dual amp setting is really useful and you can dial in really good sounds through it. Also, if you're not using the amp modeling, the effects on this unit is just as good as any newer Boss units.
hello 🤗 It happen the same by me a few days ago, that's why I looked this video 😅 I found back my Boss GT-6 😅😅 I played long time ago 🤗 And same conclusion than you: we did add to many effects on our sound 🤗 In my case it was too many modulations because of the lind of music i was playing 😂 Thx u for your nice video
Fantastic review. I'm confused now though. I was going to sell my GT8 and buy a Hotone Ampero for recording to my PC. I'm thinking now after seeing this I should maybe keep the GT8 and buy an Audio Interface. Help, Your opinion would be very much appreciated?
Sorry to confuse you, haha! So my thoughts on this. Pros for the Ampera: way smaller, easier to get really good tones out of it, better cab simulation, you can use IRs, if you only want to record through it you don’t need to buy an extra interface for the computer. Pros for the GT8: if you like its sound just get a small interface and be happy. Haha! I think I’d go for the Ampera if I was in your situation, because I can get really nice tones with the Ampera way faster and I found more amp simulation types pleasant and „real“ sounding than on the GT8. That being said, the GT8 is really impressive for its age, isn’t it? 😅
@@KrisBarocsi Thank you so much for your reply. I do love my GT8, I've had it from new It's still like new. I was never able to make it sound as good as you did in this video but was always happy with it. I'll put it back in the box and keep it, however I think I'll take your advice and go for the Ampero. Thanks again my friend...
Great video Kris as always very enjoyable! I'm exactly the same now days, turn down the gain 😀 I don't have my old multi fx unit anymore but I found my Boss HM2 a couple of years ago after not playing it for 15 years or so. It's my first pedal that I got back in high school almost 30 years ago 😊 Never thought back then that I'll still have it now ! So anyway the first thing I did after ten years of not playing it, turned back the gain from almost full to just on at about 8-9 oclock 🤘 Keep on Rockn
You need to set the global amp gain to “medium” but you inspired me to dig mine out. It’s lighter than my helix and I like the sounds better. I think I am going to start using it again….. it’s just so easy to programe, don’t need a PC and I’m convinced all the “sneaky amp” sounds that the Katana people rave about are just the old models from the GT series. I suspect that Boss nailed a lotf stuff 15/20 years ago and they are just repackaging it in new products…. the rest in placebo effect. Ome day people will be seeking these out like old plexis and klons.
bought this with my first ever paycheck. wish it had a proper looper. But the effects sound better than a lot of the modern stuff out there today even.... especially if you know how to fiddle with it....which is NOT easy. The user friendliness of this thing is.....meh. But it's a badass processor. very powerful
I Just bought one for seventy five bucks and i have a fifty watt boss katana also. i've not played in years and seems like the katana is easier to play as if the notes are there quicker and smoother. i'm not a great player but have decided to play with my old drummer from 30 years ago. the pedal has so much distortion and maybe i could tweak it down a notch but when you were playing and you're very good even though you tweaked it i thought it still all sounded the same in some crazy way. maybe i'm just old and i need all the help i can get so maybe i'll keep searching for a simple setup that i could play live with that covers mistakes a bit and isn't way expensive. great video

I too have alot of older pedals like that...I go through and play all mine often just to make sure that all still work properly and to have a fun fresh ear on the sounds I used to use. I used to own the boss gt-8 too...im still always keeping my eye out to buy another one maybe...? great video !!! you rock !!!
Holly crap. It has been 13 years😳 times really flies
It really does. 😅😅
I don't have one of these type of boards myself but some wonderful, toneful music has been made with them
Angelo Bruschini from Massive Attack used a Boss GT5 for example.
I started out on the GT-5 - had a lot of fun with that unit... I bet my parents loved it too, because I could use headphones with it 😅
Thank you for the demo.. My gt8 is 14years old now still kicking...
OMG I was so scared at intro part when you kinda drop it and there's breaking glass sound :)))
Haha! Sorry man, it was just a crappy youtubey joke. 🤷♂️😅
I just played my GT-5 after many years. It had analog drives. It sounds great as a pedal board into a clean amp. If you have an old MFX / amp modeler like this, turn off the speaker sims and send the output to your favorite amps FX return.
Sounds amazing!! Thanks Chris!!
i still use my boss gt-10 as a preamp in the return of my 30 year old crate 50 watt tube head and play modern metal , sounds great really
I see Kris has gone digital with almost 15 year old equipment😂😂
You really got me onto something! I will check the attic for my line 6 pod on the weekend! This is going to be awesome!
Yeah do it man, it’s gonna be a lot of fun. Just like in my case. That’s why I be wanted to share this experience with you guys. Cheers
Just makes you wonder if any of this improved at all much over the years or if it's just mainly handling, UI and size of the units improving.
Yup….. convinced they are just trotting out the same stuff in different boxes with some tweaks here and there.
I am using this unit too and I still love it.
You could see your muscle memory of the GT8 coming back rapidly as you used it. After the fantastic tone you just got from it, it makes me question if newer generations of multi effects have really improved that much. 😀
Mind you my line 6 V2 tells me that things have definitely improved since then 😂
Haha! Yeah it is impressive indeed. I think Boss was way ahead of their time with the GT series. 😅
line 6 was nowhere near Boss back in the days.
I still have a GT6 out in the shed. Just stopped using it last year.
Is it good today? I will buy one
@@917orlando It's no good, can't save presets anymore.
@@davidwoods358 change battery 😉
@@vale_ri0 LOL! ... I wish it were that easy. The save button broke. I replaced the GT6 with a Headrush unit a few months ago. It seems to be doing everything I need for home demos and noodling around.
Sounds killer man!
Thanks man! Yeah that Boogie 21 preset I made later in the video was pretty darn good. 🤩
i´m starting to believe that these Boss Multi-fx will survive apocalypse 😂 My Boss Gt5 bought 20 years ago still works , very interesting how a person changes ,testing my own patchs i realize how over seasoned everything was ( even factory patchs ) well ... i guess i grew up a little 🙊 , It sounded great , great video , thanks 😀
Thanks Claudio, yes it’s always fun going down memory lane. 😅 Or taste changes... often to the better. Haha
Watching now....”let’s fire this thing up and hope it works” when has a boss pedal ever died 🤘😆
Haha! Fair enough. Probably never. 😅
My bf-2 flanger back in 2014. I think also my DD5? I could have just lost that. My GE7 pedal switch got jammed up and i had to solder a new switch on. I got old gear and if it ain't broke don't fix it, can't fix it sell it to someone who can.
My ME70 died 😔😔 💀💀
@@adam__mark oh no that must be a first for Boss 🥲, their products usually built to last
I've never known a Boss product to die!
I got a GT-8 in 2013 or 2014 to replace the GT-5 I had owned. Loved it and still have it at home somewhere.
still using mine today. Its still awesome.
When I was doing a music course at college, we had a small version of one of these in the rehearsal rooms. I remember them sounding okay, they were okay for the application they were being used for
Szottttyyyy, haha, király.... Jó kis videó és időutazás!!!!
This is testament to just how good Boss products are. I loved my GT6, GT10 and still have the GT100. Of course now I have the G1000. 😎
instablaster
Friend can i have one your old effects?
@@FreeLearNewsLincolnBliss I've kept the GT100 as I've made some good presets. It's still a good machine but the GT1000 is better. I've promised myself no more guitar related spending. 😎
@@Happy-Me. I do have a gt100 too that I am using in our church services, but recently I noticed some problems on the rotary encoders. It became very sensitive and it suddenly turn the dial on its own.. Perhaps it needs replacement because I tried cleaning it with a contact cleaner already, but still fails.. I was trying to find a replacement but I am so sad, coz i never find one..
@@FreeLearNewsLincolnBliss Save your patches and try a factory reset.
This is a great multi pedal. Still sounds great, as does it’s brother the Roland GP-100 rack.
All sounds nice and crisp. Yes its a joy when you have a great tone that allows you to play with ease. Cheers!
Did someone say... Krisp?! 😆😆 Sorry. That was bad. Even for me. Haha
I'm just happy the battery still had all your presets.
I was wondering the other day if my GT-6 (Last used in 2009) would still have mine stored but now I have hope! Nice video as always Kris.
Yeah that battery thing was a big surprise to be honest. It’s a sturdy old machine. 💪
Definitive !!!...I have Dusted several Pedals..Its interesting make comparisons...The Old is better built...And the most Natural Sounds !!!....Greetings...Good Channel
Habha Chris to funny I just went to help my brother guess what he gave me you guessed it this very pedal and I remembered seeing this video lmao I'm glad you did this cause hey yah know what I'm sure it will be fun lol man thanks my friend Tim from london 🇨🇦
line 6 pod hd pro x fell in love with it again
I bought one of these a long time ago. I just couldn’t get it to sound good and the set up was just beyond my patience. I just couldn’t get the graininess out of my rhythm tones. I still have it sitting in its gig bag.
it's 2024 now, I still use mine daily, purchased back in 2012
This was a really interesting video to watch, most probably, because I have a somewhat similar situation.
Maybe you should do a test run for the GT-8 with your CS Tele as well ;)
Ps.: My old Rectifier High-gain presets used to be called "RECCS1" und "RECCS2" back in the day. Hungarian codenames ftw! ^^
Twin szotty és Reccs forevör! 😆 My first multiFX was a Korg AX1500 and I loved it back in high school. Ohh god I’m old. 🤦♂️ 😅
GT 8 is tank, been using for more than a decade. It's travelled a lot and withstand well. There's so much you can do with it.
I have an original Line 6 Pod. I haven't touched it for years. I should get it out.
I still use mine for Electric and it sounds great, very versatile with good cleans going into a tube amp. However does anyone have any tips for how to use it with a piezo equipped acoustic guitar so there isn’t fizz on the decay when running straight to the board?
Turn the Direct Level down - or even off. [Pre-amp section].
@@EdKidgell Thanks, that’s what I figured out- turned the preamp section off and it fixed it. It’s nice to still have the secondary EQ, overdrives, compression, limiter, chorus etc. ability for different patches.
I still use the GT-8 as my primary rig. I think its time for an upgrade. Any thoughts on a used touch screen board?
This is the biggest joke I've ever read
The GT8 is great when it plug in 4 wires method and combine the software gt8 via midi to control the max of this pedal. In 2 wires the sound is not so great. Try the 4 wires method, right fx chain order and listen the difference. ;)
Tool: fxfloorboard at Source forge
I’m still using my 10 year old ME-70. Still sounds good!
I still use my trusted Boss Me-25. I love it. 🎸🎸🎸
Hi kris.. Would u mind if i wanna know the settings of ur "first old preset? I really love it! Appreciate it, if u would share it thanks..😊
yes me too
hello 🤗 It happen the same by me a few days ago, that's why I looked this video 😅
I found back my Boss GT-6 😅😅 I played long time ago 🤗
And same conclusion than you: we did add to many effects on our sound 🤗
In my case it was too many modulations because of the lind of music i was playing 😂
Thx u for your nice video
Next episode: Boss GT8 with external IR (a way better cabinet simulator)
That is, what Im also thinking will be great ;).
Haha! That could be a shockingly good experience. 🤩
I did that with an old POD 2.0 which I picked up second hand - actually sounds pretty damn good!
Damn I like your tone ar Fire it up part. Can you tell how did you achieve that preset? Thanks a lot! Btw would you like to sell it? I am interested 😊
My Rig: Boss GT-Pro, Roland MIDI controller, Tube Works Mosvalve stereo power amp, Peavey Stereo 4x12. 🎸🔥
Fender deluxe 112 plus ... I love it!
After trying the Ampero One, I prefer my old GT8, and am returning the Ampero.
Great video Kris as always very enjoyable!
I'm exactly the same now days, turn down the gain 😀
I don't have my old multi fx unit anymore but I found my Boss HM2 a couple of years ago after not playing it for 15 years or so.
It's my first pedal that I got back in high school almost 30 years ago 😊 Never thought back then that I'll still have it now !
So anyway the first thing I did after ten years of not playing it, turned back the gain from almost full to just on at about 8-9 oclock 🤘
Keep on Rockn
Wait a second... YOU HAVE AN HM-2?! You lucky bastard! 😂 I never played one and I‘m so keen on trying it one day.
Thanks for the kind words! Üdv! 😁
Still using mine
That things sounds great!!
Mate, I still use the Gt-8, with a ocd and mxr bass compressor in front and 4cm... It's decent, best.
I Just bought one for seventy five bucks and i have a fifty watt boss katana also. i've not played in years and seems like the katana is easier to play as if the notes are there quicker and smoother. i'm not a great player but have decided to play with my old drummer from 30 years ago. the pedal has so much distortion and maybe i could tweak it down a notch but when you were playing and you're very good even though you tweaked it i thought it still all sounded the same in some crazy way. maybe i'm just old and i need all the help i can get so maybe i'll keep searching for a simple setup that i could play live with that covers mistakes a bit and isn't way expensive. great video
