I prefer Honda in Samurai Warriors than Honda in Sengoku basara. In Samurai Warriors, Honda is the strongest character while in Sengoku Basara Honda outclassed by Nobunaga Oda, Ashikaga Yoshiteru
I prefer almost every portrayals of historical figures in Sengoku Musou/Samurai Warriors than Sengoku Basara, except maybe Masamune. Save for the ridiculous portrayals like Nō, Oichi, Mitsunari, Kanetsugu, Yoshitsugu, Hanbei, Masanori, Aya, and Hayakawa, most portrayals from Sengoku Musou are more on point, like Nobunaga who looked demonic and mostly wore western armor, Hideyoshi who is always said to look like a monkey (hence the nickname), Ieyasu who resembles closely to his statue in Japan, Tadakatsu who did wear antlers helmet, Shingen who did wear such mask, even Naomasa who wore red clad armor though I'm not sure if Naomasa was known to be a pretty boy.
Idk, He’s OP in both series’ his basara attack (Musou in Sengoku Basara) is ridiculously powerful and most characters if not all can’t escape from him I like both.

Im not gonna lie, anytime i hear this theme when im playin SW3 Chaos mode and hard mode, i start getting excited XD! At first when i had sw2 tadakatsu scared the shit out of me when his theme came on. I hated fightin him on hard and chaos mode, cause he kills in 2 hits or 1 (if hes using power attacks).
Lu bu is strong but he was pretty easy to me. I would jump slashed (quick swing/normal attack in the air, not the charge attacks) him off balance then combo away/repeat. Tadakatsu on the other hand that didn't work all the time and left you open if it didn't flinch or knock him off balance. Most of the time you encounter Tadakatsu & Lu Bu with the red aura. Lu Bu couldn't kill you in 2-3 swings not like in DW4-5. Tadakatsu was able to 1-3 swing and you were dead. In general they both are easy to read and dodge in game because they aren't that quick at all. I love Lu Bu but Tadakatsu wins this one when it comes to the games. Lu Bu just doesn't have that "oh shit !" moments no more because they didn't keep him as strong as he was like in DW4-5
Lu Bu was betrayed by men he abused and cruelly punished for superficial offenses. Tadakatsu never did that so your argument fails. Strength is about the person's integrity and personality as well as physical prowess.

Ik it looks diff in real life but I would love to see the game version coz that spear look so incredibly cool it super iconic to me. Favorite samurai no doubt. Let's be fair. like all other Friendly Units, Tadakatsu will suck in your Team. take The Iga Escape for Example. if you don't help Tadakatsu beat up those 3 Super Weak Officers, he is like "Oh Holy Goodness help me i can't handle their whole army" but speaks big words that he would cut him a way to Mikawa xD He isn't really that much different as an Enemy in Hard/Chaos Mode. He could have needed a Super Epic Horse like Lu Bu and maybe MORE Defense xD
The only reason these historical warriors are considered useless was because of repeating firearms being mass produced. These people were all badasses and unlike modern leaders actually went to the front lines and kicked ten kinds of ass instead of hiding in the other side of the atlantic ocean. Back then you earned your place at the top and if you sucked you died. Unlike now that we have to stomach them until they die of old age.
Ah yes, Dian Wei was very strong as well. Shame he died so early in his career because he was such a good retainer that literally placed Cao Cao's life over his own. Many say they would but he actually backed it with action even when severely outnumbered and having gaping wounds.

Cao Cao lost two of his best guys early: Dian Wei and Guo Jia. And he lamented having lost both of them when he felt he needed their talents the most.
