I'm going to keep a running tally on some things here. - Taunting is entirely allowed within boxing and is actively a technique that you can do. It would be only considered an infraction if it gets excessive. Taunting is so legal that one of the most famous boxers of all time, Ali, has it as one of his famous tactics. - On that note, punching Hondo when he bows may be considered unsportsmanlike but it's not illegal. Generally after the boxers touch gloves at the start of a round (they don't even need to touch gloves) you can rightfully assume they've gotten through formalities and anything they do in the ring is not with the intent of showing respect. In fact, Hondo's mid-round bow he keeps his eyes on Mac and in TD (it's not that he can't bow properly - he does in his introduction twice - using a different animation means it's a different intent behind the bow!) he can dodge and counter so the bow is actually a feint for a head sway technique, just one that he didn't have down for Contender. Hondo bowing and Mac punching him in the match are both fine. - If you pay attention to the floor during Disco Kid's fight, he uses the disco ball during the match, so it isn't pre-fight theatrics, it's using a foreign object in the fight. - Don Flamenco gets the rose in his intro animation and directly interacts with it for both his special KO animation and his winning animation, so it's safe to say that it isn't just for cartoony effect and he did bring a rose into the ring. - I think that the personal branding thing only is using the rule of "no nicknames or phrases are permitted on the competition uniform." Wearing a sponsor (Flamenco might be sponsored by a rose company for all we know) or just otherwise modifying the trunks is fine. If Super Macho Man's actual name is Super Macho Man then he actually is in the clear. While I doubt that is actually his name, there are stranger stories like the pro wrestler who legally changed his name to "Warrior" so he would own the trademark. In any case, Flamenco and Ryan are fine on the trunks front, Macho Man isn't. - Aran Ryan's headbutt attack is two separate infractions - one for the headbutt itself and one because he jumps off the ropes - Soda Popinski's soda only counts as doping in Title Defense, there is no implication that they are the same in his Contender match. - Bull Charge is actually an uppercut, not an illegal manuver. - The change that Von Kaiser made in TD is that he overcame his PTSD, he's clear on that for TD. - TD Bear Hugger should probably get separate infractions for when he's knocked down. He has the squirrel help him get up, outside interference.
with contender disco kid, you COULD argue that it's just part of the gym that the fights are taking place in as it could be hosting parties on the weekends, but in title defense, he no longer has that excuse
The funny thing is, without a copy of the Official WVBA Rulebook to hand, it's impossible to tell how many of these are actual infractions or not. For example, Glass Joe is given headgear after 100 losses. Little Mac also gets this option if the player racks up 100 losses, so we can assume this is WVBA policy. Other than that, wear boxing gloves and don't outright kill your opponent seen to be the only discernable rules.
and so after mac retired, doc louis 5 years later went to the mac museum and found his old bike he quietly but 3x faster than a normal human being says gustavo gustavo before leaving to the other sections of the museum.
@@vegitossjb5947 but Glass Joe did lose 100 times, and then he got his, so it's probably just a WVBA rule that if a fighter loses 100 times they get headgear.
In-universe it's allowed, since it's a federation rule where whoever loses 100 times is allowed to use headgear. So no infractions there. And hey, you can make Mac lose 100 times so you can have a proper headgear fight, if you'd like.

Dang, I wish realized this sooner, but Mac is getting an extra infraction in some of these matches, and also the referee too. In boxing, after a knockdown, the other boxer is supposed to return to a neutral corner (the white corners) so that they cannot interfere with the ref counting or other shenanigans. The referee is doing a horrible job by not telling Mac to return to a neutral corner, and Mac should be doing it regardless.
Don Flamenco also taunted in his fight due to when he places both arms at the side is like when you use an spanish blanket to bait the bull into charging at it
Literally every punch thrown by Contender Aran Ryan should be considered an infraction, given knowledge of the horseshoes. His attempts to hit you as he goes down should also be considered infractions. There is also the infamous TD SMM light infraction
Regarding Glass Joe's Helmet. Since he's not only allowed but recommended / ordered to wear with doctor's advice, I'd imagine that Mac forecully removing it with a punch would be illegal. I don't think Mac would be allowed to just remove the headgear from Joe's head if he's been ordered to wear it. 36:44 despite seeming to be the most "legal" boxer he's actually a criminal in his Title Defense fight as he destroys a building and since it wasn't shown to be condemned that's a felony, which is a serious crime and he'd also have his boxing license revoked in the progress, he also gains Mental illness (anger issues) as well meaning he wouldn't be allowed to fight until that is taken care of, so mostly While Aran Ryan has a lot of infractions he's still not a criminal like Mr. Sandman who is now a criminal.
21:22 sounds like a Minion saying DreamWorks
XD
Mr. Sandman saying DreamWorks?!
the bogus was released, and I am content
Can you please try to do a challenge where you just beat the crap out of Mr. Sandman through rounds 1-3 without taking any damage? and yes contender mode.
punchout Wii (ft Alvin & the voice-actors)
36:09 RELEASE THE BOGUS
The best part of these videos is Soda Popinski’s theme being reduced to chipmunks singing
The only rules the WVBA seem to follow is:
1. Wear Boxing gloves.
2. Do what ever you want.
this is the Greatest Punch-Out!! video of All Time
This video is longer than the infraction ones because of all the missed "Mac is too young" and "Too young to have a title"
Kind of a shame we didn't get to see DK, guessing he's an infraction in itself or something.
Forgiven cuz the Bogus has been released
I feel like the weight class one could fly for glass joe. Also king hippo would be allowed to wear tape due to the league
They're technically in different weight classes, since the divide is at 108 pounds.
only true ogs remember when it had a 2% increase in the title
21:15: Mr Sandman infinite punch glitch?? I thought only Don Flemenco had one.
Flamenco*
It's shown that the squirrel gave consent.
Yeah we're doing this joke again
I played Aran Ryan's part in x2 speed and it was so hard to catch his movements XDD
I think for this video it’s good that you didn’t repeat some of the pre-fight ones lmao the speed would’ve been probably 2x by the time we even reach the major circuit in contender.
Mac is too young
love how we can reach 2x speed even before sandman and getting the top status. incredible job from these cheaters.
Headgear is not legal at this level of boxing (Headgear is infraction)
Little Mac and glass joe are both in the featherweight category, their match would be in the same weight class, little macs age not withstanding
Infraction for not having a corner or a coach during the match for all of the opponents except for maybe bear hugger with the squirrel but even then it’s questionable
Also glass Joe is within weight class because the WVBA can make their own weight classes within reason
Also aryan Ryan throwing the last punch in the contender mode is legal as he didn’t touch the ground before landing a punch
I haven’t watched the full video but I can safely assume when we get to Aran Ryan the video will go to speeds unknown to humanity that we where never meant to see in the first place
