Basically its about how their music style and creativity can satisfy all senses, types of music whatever you may want and that if you go away you'll always come back for more! How unique their sound is and that its all their own which can't be copied. If there was a menu made from God it would be this delectable selection that any type of being, like crows, magpies, pigeons, or travelers would want to choose from! 😌 This was the first song I ever heard from Stray Kids back when it was released and its still my favorite because this track I believe is what started a strong incline into stardom. Sooooo many fans came into the fandom from this song, its special ☺
I may have just screamed when I saw this. 🤭 let’s go!! You’ll probably hear from many Stays who explain this MV better than me. But.. the different scenes are about their music and producing and its uniqueness. Cooking up, Construction of, Chemistry of mixing, racing to the top against others! And then SKZ themselves are their own genre. Btw- they will be on this years AMAs Oct 6th! 🎉
Ty for reacting to stray kids again. For people new to their work, maybe the most important thing to know is that stray kids songs/mvs aren't at all simple. They produce music/entertainment that can absolutely just be taken at face value as the bops they are with lots of hype and flash visuals, but every song and mv they make is actually quite intricate. I see others have explained the meaning behind the different visuals and lyrics in gods menu, but i would just add that you can watch it a million times and still miss visual clues and wordplay. As far as their choreography goes, they always have moves that help support their message. I highly recommend watching some of their dance practices and spending some time analyzing what different formations, etc., might be communicating. The dance practice for Domino is iconic❤️.
This song is about how they have something for everyone because of how diverse their discography is. They even have jazz type songs... see Twilight (no music video but beautiful song) Chefs - cooking up new tracks Scientists- experimenting with sound Construction - building beats Race track - racing past the competition A lot of the choreo are movements a chef would make like the chopping motion there's one where they shake and flip a pan. They used a robotic camera so it was programmed to follow their movements hence how smooth it is. The pit crew is another group called Nizui who hadn't debuted yet, under the same label. It's common for trainees to appear in Idols music videos to give them experience. Bang Chan (chain on the face, leader, creator of Stray Kids, main producer) has actually produced for them before.
The Felix effect is not only the uniqueness of his voice, but also the fact that when his part of the song begins, the song changes, becomes calmer, the beats and structure change This gives the reactors a reason to talk a lot during this part of the song😐
I found this in the Stayville post-it library from Stay @EmmieUniverse to share to help explain the 'travelers, pigeons, magpies and crows' : Changbin (yes btw he often starts the songs, we call it a bintro), talks about how they can satisfy all your senses. He then names travelers, pigeons, magpies and crows. - Travelers = people accidentally passing by their music - Pigeons = dove of peace, a.k.a. the fans. - Crows = bad omen, a.k.a. the haters - Magpies = symbolizes a bad omen in some parts of the world and a good sign in other parts of the world, spiritually the magpie is seen as a bridge, so you could say the magpie in this song is everyone between fan and hater. Stray kids can serve all these people. They have a sound for everyone. They incorporate over 40 genres and whoever you are, if you dive in, you'll find something you like. You'll come across the magpies and crows reference in some other songs, like cheese, in that song they refer back to this line and how it got a lot of hate because it 'didn't make sense'. It makes sense though. 🖖🏽
@laurahilliker5336 why are you bringing BTS into this? No one said anything about them and no one said Skz was the first to do multiple genres in their music. There were groups even before BTS who did this, it's always been pretty common in KPop. And no the amount of genres is not exaggerated. There are videos on UA-cam that list every genre they've incorporated. Why do people act like saying anything good about another group takes away from a different groups accomplishments? There's plenty of room to share success in the industry. It certainly doesn't downgrade another groups success. Actually Skz debuted March 25, 2018 with District 9. Oct 17 2017 was when the "survival" show aired. Though let's be real, JYP just did it for the publicity. Genius move letting Chan pick all of the members and then JYP just "approved" their debut.
The pit-crew were from the NiZiu project that went on to form the Japanese group NiZiu. They are also in the Backdoor MV. JYPE does that a lot. Putting trainees in MVs it gives them exposure and training on being in MVs. Chan was in a couple of MVs for girl groups while he was a trainee (Miss A and Twice)
Since you guys really seem to be digging the visual elements of Stray Kids, I gotta second the suggestion "Thunderous". It has one of the most creative openings in an MV that I've ever seen. Everything about it plays with the idea of taking traditional Korean culture and blending it with the new. Like they're wearing traditionally inspired clothing but with like modern shoes. And there's the classic SKZ beat but blended with traditional Korean instruments. And the sets look like an old-world drama set but there's also cars there. And their signature hard-hitting choreo is there but there's also traditional dancers in the bg and they incorporate a traditional dance in the final chorus. And the transitions are A+ as always. I really think ya'll would dig it.
This is usually the one many fans suggest to new listeners. Here’s some background on the song and the group: Pretty much all of them can dance, sing, and rap, but there are some who mostly rap: Changbin and Han those 2 with the leader, Bang Chan make up the production subunit of 3Ratcha. The main 3 dancers (Dance Ratcha) are Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix, who the last 2 also often rap as well as sing. Seungmin and I.N do a lot of the main singing along with Bang Chan and Lee Know. But there are songs where all 8 of them sing too Stray Kids are big on the verbal and visual symbolism. Such as Changbin’s listing of birds (passing travelers, pigeons, magpies, and crows) where they’re likely depicting the wide audience of viewers: people who are just passing through, interested, and even the haters. Their music is so unique and they are always growing and changing their sounds that means that even if you step away you’ll come back to them because what they create will draw you in. Also each setting depicts their creativity (chefs), innovation (scientists), construction (self-producing), collaboration (race track out crew), and talent. They do a lot of word play like the Korean word for “welcome” can sound a little like shitshow and this mag or May not be a play on words. 😂 This is definitely “this is us and what we do. We won’t be ignored. Deal with it.” Also the fan base is called Stay because they’re inviting all fans who feel lost or astray to them and together we can find a home.
This song is in Mala taste genre. they produce their own songs, they have a lot of freedom when creating. they have a lot of influence with their choreographies. Check out Thunderous too.
Y'all just missed the Felix Effect cause you talked thru it. There's so much you can miss when you talk over Stray Kids' m/v's. It's best to just pause it when you wanna say something.
I was thinking that too. For that, they should watch the video of other people experiencing the Felix effect. I think they first saw it with either LaLaLaLa or Megaverse which are great but this MV with the clean look and camera angles just brings it to another level.
good morning @Scott & Sam I'm not sure if I've said this here already, please forgive me if I have. here's a sidebar "tmz" like stray kids tid bit. 2 out of 8 members are Australian - Korean, thus eng. first language. the rest eng. 2nd lang. If you remember while back they were at the NYC met gala. reporters were loudly saying slick / racist things at/to them thinking they didn't understand. trust stay (their fans) went in found the reports social media.
They dont really Watch the video . And I hope what I listen about the girls its wrong. Not watching this again its really easy to know when someone just use the groups to get views

Thanks fellas, glad to see another Stray Kids reaction.

The dance moves simulate cooking, like chopping, tossing, putting spices in a pan, etc. So cool!
Check Out STRAY KIDS Thunderous ⛈🔥.
They were talking about their music…like BTS ATEEZ and Seventeen… they write and produce their music
