Copy epsxe cards to Duckstaion memory card area. Rename them with the "cmd" or whichever ducksation uses file type. Select "new" card in proper slot. Copy new data in actual new card. Enjoy. Easier to transfer.
Holy crap I love you, this game was giving me hell on ePSXe, and every settings guide was like "Have a computer science degree and mod the game to look like 2024 FF7" like bruh, I just want the sound issues to stop, can you please XD
I had the same issue but I found a way to transfer my save! Was trying to transfer a save from my PC build of ePSXe 2.0.5 to DuckStation on my Steam Deck. This was a longer process but just a workaround if you really need to transfer 1 or 2 save files you don't want to lose. This is the process I had to do: -In DuckStation create an empty memory card as seen in the video. -Transfer the new Duckstation save to PC. (If you are coming from Steam Deck like me) -Backup memory cards 1 and 2 from ePSXe (ePSXe folder > 'memcard/epsxe000.mcr' and 'epsxe001.mcr') -Place my DuckStation save in the ePSXe memcards folder and rename it to 'epsxe001.mcr' (which would be memory card 2 for ePSXe) -Run the game I want to transfer saves with and manually save to memory card in slot 2.(*) (*I had an issue where it would re-create the original DuckStation file, so after launching the game, after it recreated the saves, I manually renamed them again) -Close ePSXe and take the 'epsxe.001.mcr' and rename it to the original DuckStation save file name and place it back in the DuckStation saves directory. -Run the game and verify the save. As I mentioned, this was a much longer process and not ideal for transferring multiple games, but I had a save file with around a hundred hours that I really didn't want to lose. Hope this helps!
For anyone out there, i had the same issue, and I found what worked for me. Follow these steps: open the config options -> Bios -> UNCHECK "Enable HLE Bios" -> Press ok. This should allow you to go into your memory card options once again. I don't remember enabling this option, but maybe i did and dont remember. I was curious so unchecking this fixed it for me.
I don't use Retroarch, so I have no idea. I think this method should work regardless of the emulator, but I haven't personally tried it with any others.
I did it! I was playing on Android(ePSXe), I've made the copy on PC using ePSXe PC version using the game copy options. - I copied Android MC(Memory Card) to my ePSXe PC version. - After set the MCs on ePSXe>Config>Memory Cards just like on video, I've got frozen on "Run BIOS". - So the solution was to ran the game and copy MC from the copy game's option. But the ePSXe PC version was frozen during game running 😡to solve that I need to config "Video option" like "Use Frame skipping", "Color depth" to 16 bit and use my keyboard as controller. - Then I ran my game using ePSXe PC and inside the game "File Copy" option, I've copied my MC to the brand new MC(Duckstation). - Duckstation ran perfectly. @@Chino-Kafu

thanks I was also struggling and your method worked for me
Thank you for this. = A grateful Retro Streamer
Genius man!! Good Work...
thank you verry much for put it on youtube, you are genius!
Do you know how I can convert savefiles from the .gme to the .mcd? I've been searching for a good tutorial and I had no luck on getting that to work.
Sadly, no. Converting the save data never worked for me either. Only thing that worked for me was copying the data manually within the emulator.
@@bradsmithVR welp, sad because I have some save files but those are on the .gme format and i can't get them to work on duckstation.

Update the application and the data on the memory card was deleted can be recovered
