It is not bad at all, but in comparison the book is so much better, so it is hard to rate it on its own. To be honest all of theTom Clancy books are better than the movies. My favourite Jack Ryan is Ford, my favourite movie is The Hunt for the Red October, but my favourite book is The Cardinal of The Kremlin.
This will certainly change your taste in music for all time. By God it is magnificent. This is what duty feels like in the face of danger put to music.
The opening scene is beautifully choreographed to the first part of the suite. I agree, Sum is under-rated. It is very watchable and holds up well to second and third viewings. Try watching any of the new Star War movies a second time.
You can listen to any composition by Jerry Goldsmith and get a sense of the scene even if you don’t watch the movie. This plus the opening credits stating that Israel was beset on two fronts at the start of the 1973 war made me cry thinking of the scrappy little nation up against it.
My dog, Junior, sings along to this music. We taped it just so we can play it and listen to his singing. We've never watched the movie... can't get any further than Junior's singing.
Though I prefer the Harrison Ford Jack Ryan movies, this movie is definitely the finest in the Ryan saga after Ford. Very underrated and affleck also gives a case at his brief stint in the role.
This is the most powerful music I have ever heard. The operatic feel evokes dread and sadness. I have had great classical and new symphony music but this seemed to hit me just right.
I think people really should watch this movie and read some of the Tom Clancy novels. With Russia deploying its strategic bombers in the current conflict and putting its strategic nuclear missiles and tactical nuclear missiles on high alert for potential usage, this movie is quite relevant to what is happening now.
My favorite part of this suite. At around 7:50, I believe it is an oboe (?) solo of the main theme. Very lovely. Sad, but at the same time optimistic. What you would think after all the people who were killed, but about how the worst was averted from happening.
Dieses Stück ist so schön episch das es zu meinen Favoriten gehört und die Zene am Anfang ist so passend. Einfach nur gelungen so sollte ein Film Anfangen. Danke fürs hochladen danke.
Jack Ryan Analyst life -- not an Operator (HUMINT) But--Qualify for combat support deployment and you can still see and experience more than most people can imagine. Maybe end up writing some of the best Spy--I mean, analyst movies ever. Love the music. I have fallen a sleep to this music many times. "Time of your life kid"🙄🎯⛳
I think this film was magnificent but I agree with the casting comment: Would've loved to see Harrison Ford do this movie instead. Affleck was ok but he's no Harrison Ford.
The Yom Kippur War otherwise known as October War, the 1973 Arab-Israel War in 1973 between Israel and the Arabs which had carried a nuclear bomb on an Israel warplane that would later be used as nuclear terrorism to get the United States and Russia be at war with each other again.
The only inappropriate music in this film was the playing of "Nessun Dorma" at the end when the weapons trafficker gets his throat cut. The aria was meant to be a romantic piece, not backdrop for an assassination. But knowing that most people don't understand that...
On October 6th, 1973, Egypt and Syria launched a surprise attack against Israel. By Day Two, Israeli ground forces appeared on the verge of defeat. In the event that their ground forces were overrun, the Israeli A-4 Skyhwak took off on solo patrol, with one nuclear bomb.
Every time I've seen the movie the opening soundtrack reminded me of something older. Just recently I've stumbled across Fantaghirò again: ua-cam.com/video/R1ND5DHNoaw/v-deo.html Old memories ^^ It has quite a few similarities, especially around 1:40+
The most tragic, the israeli pilot almost lost his family picture... Cost his life. And the cargo he carry almost become the catalyst of World War 3. These song present it all.
'The Mission' singer Shana Blake Hill If we could remember the moment of our birth, we'd give our voice to song and whispers and know what life is worth. Suddenly, there's beauty in pieces of the past And sorrow clings to angry questions, the days of dust at last. And morning holds us when worlds come tumbling down A dance of ghosts and ragged dreams Spinning 'round Spinning 'round If we could remember the power of the light, that crippled prayers are sometimes answered and hope survives the night.
This movie has always been shamefully underrated by viewers and critcs.
One of my favorites.
Tom Clancy is my favorite writer. RIP Tom.
I too think it is a terribly underrated film. I loved it. Any film you can watch several times over must be very, very good!
The music is beautiful

I learned to never read what critics say about movies, this movie was awesome as fvck
The opening music is so beautiful so moving !
Watched the film many, many years ago and this song always stuck with me.
the sound of eternity while we face mortality...loved this movie and the sound so much...thank you for sharing this..
This will certainly change your taste in music for all time. By God it is magnificent. This is what duty feels like in the face of danger put to music.
"Out of thousands of missiles, one is missing." I just love that quote.
Scary quote.
In my opinion the music is this film's strongest element
Watched this last night and honestly thought the exact same thing.
I have watched this movie shamefully over 35 times, love it
One of my favorite movies and the opening music is fantastic
The opening scene is beautifully choreographed to the first part of the suite. I agree, Sum is under-rated. It is very watchable and holds up well to second and third viewings. Try watching any of the new Star War movies a second time.
Try watching them once
I miss Jerry Goldsmith. :(
One of those intros that stunned me to obedience.

Came here to re-hear the dual tri-tone key change at 3:44. Goldsmith was a master.
Go listen to his work for The Secret of NIMH
Good movie and first 3minutes of soundtrack is so beautiful and powerful
My dog, Junior, sings along to this music. We taped it just so we can play it and listen to his singing. We've never watched the movie... can't get any further than Junior's singing.
+Judi Harbin You've peaked my curiousity. Can you record him and post it?
I want to see that
Man that entry piece is heartstoppingly beautiful!
Though I prefer the Harrison Ford Jack Ryan movies, this movie is definitely the finest in the Ryan saga after Ford. Very underrated and affleck also gives a case at his brief stint in the role.
I’m here because of 10/7…Shalom!!!❤️😮❤️
So moving and such an underrated movie!

Wat een prachtige muziek en een indrukwekkende film. Een van mijn favoriete films.

The. Sums of All Fears. I love this Soundtrack. My. Cousin. John Beasley was in this movie🎥🎬🍿 RIP Cousin Thank you. Paramount. Pictures😢🎥🎬

That BGM when they take the President out of that stadium is so out of this world 5:36

Hallo mein bruder
goosebumps, everytime I hear it. Don't have the slightest Idea what she is singing, but still wonderful.
gexy she’s actually belting out the instructions on how to make a Krabby patty.
the song is called "If we could Remember" sung by Yolanda Adams. What you heard was the russian version.
@@morgangrey4020 Thought it's Latin? Who is wrong? 🤔
Great ensemble. Very moving and dreamy
I missed the opening sequence when I saw the film in the cinema, so thank you for sharing this.

Tom Clancy, thank you !
GOD is the SUPERPOWER!!
Great Movie. Bridget M is a stunner!!!!
Awesome!!!
perfect
A remarkable example that not every Ben Affleck movie needs to be shit on, this one really does have its moments, and this theme is one of them.
The best of the film is this soundtrack... sorry but Harrison Ford was the best Dr. Ryan. Thank you Jerry Goldsmith for your great job.
I think this film was magnificent but I agree with the casting comment: Would've loved to see Harrison Ford do this movie instead. Affleck was ok but he's no Harrison Ford.
The guy from the Jack Ryan show on Amazon prime is also better then Ben was

1:43 is sublime

Love the crass ad at the ~4 minute mark.
1:43 So sad for next minute. That Israeli Pilot never stood a chance.
As he gazes upon his wife and kid thinking about the day he gets to go home and hold them in his arms, the unthinkable happens.
Well . Its war .
neither did the millions in Baltimore. Well, it's terrorism.
Don't cry for Zionism
Amazing

Amazing movies so 5 stars
Prächtige Auslegung, erhaben.
I totally agree
does anybody else suddenly have captain america pop into their heads around 7:21 - 7:41 ?
Exactly 🤪👍
great
what's the song at 4:40?
not sure but it's the music when the Soviets attack the US carrier in the film.
The music at 4:40 was at the beginning of the movie when Affleck and Freeman arrived at the Kremlin
La suma de todos los miedos.
The sum of all fears.
Shana Blake Hill is the Soprano
Would still take this movie over 90% of the trash that’s circulating theatres nowadays.
Who is the.wonderful singer ?
Shana Blake Hill
schapiee Thank you .

'The Mission'
singer Shana Blake Hill

I believe that Alec Baldwin did a good portrayal of Jack Ryan also! Christopher Pine, stick to Capt. Kirk!
Imagine a remake were ISIS get its hands on one.
😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰😰
As i say i kiss King David Feet ,Lips ,Forehead ,And i hug .

Ben Affleck could have done better but still, an amazing movie nonetheless.
'They could have done better than Ben Affleck.' FIXED
