Spanish is the 3rd International language here in Philippines. .we Filipinos often speak spanish words and mix with tagalog/english. dats y its easy for her or for all filipinos to pronounce spanish words fluently.
well we don't purposely speak it but a lot of words that we naturally use are derived from spanish words --- gusto, lugar, trabaho (trabajo), bintana (ventanas) , mesa, etc
Zamboanga City, Philippines. Is considered the Asia’s Latin City. The main language spoken is Chavacano. It’s a Spanish-creole based language. And if I’m not mistaken the only one is Asia.
What i love about Julie is she sings from the heart. You can really connect with the song once she sang it. She's also the only Filipino singer i know that gives justice to foreign songs like this one and Blackpink songs.
I am so happy that you finally got to this cover and did your reactions. FYI alot of Filipinos speak Spanish. We are enjoying all your comments and reactions. More power to the both of you and Gracias por su comemtarious.

@@markcruz359 for centuries Spanish was the official language of the Philippines in education, governance, trade and commerce. It waa replaced by English when Spain lost in the Spanish- American War. It was reinstated in 2007 as an elective course.
I’m actually learning Spanish right now too and my Spanish teacher just ask me to memorise despacito because I also sing lol just sharing I’m Filipino so I love learning Spanish!! ❤️ btw I love you guys so muchhhh
My aunt married her late husband (rip tito) who was from Argentina. He also had Brazilian blood but he mainly grew up in Argentina then he came to the US and that's where he found my aunt and they decided to live here in the Philippines after they got married. My uncle never had formal Tagalog lessons but in just a few months to about a year, he was already able to understand at least 70% of what we are saying. And in 3 years, guess what? He was already so fluent in Tagalog! Like you wouldn't even hear any foreign twang in his pronunciation! That's how easy it was for a Latino to learn Tagalog, and that was self taught. What more if you take Filipino classes right? My uncle said, it was not that bloody hard to learn Tagalog in his point of view, but he never learned Portuguese coz he said it was really tough. As Portuguese may have similarities with Spanish but he said, the way Portuguese words are being pronounced could sometimes be mistaken for French words. He said he didn't have that patience to learn Portuguese since his mom (from Brazil) spoke Spanish fluently too. I guess if you are a Portuguese speaker, then Spanish is easy for you, but if you are a Spanish speaker, it won't be that easy to learn and understand Portuguese. Same with Filipinos, Spanish could be easier for us as the words here mostly derived from Spain. And ironically, my late uncle found Tagalog easier to learn than what his (should have been) second language which is Portuguese. 😊

porque yata galing zamboanga
From Zamboanga but can't speak chavacano, 😂
Waleska: That's a risk and a half to make a cover of a foreign song in a completely foreign language
Also Waleska: *nails Paubaya flawlessly*
IMO if you're nitpicky you can tell that the singer is not a native speaker but that cover is really beautiful
You may want to react to a Filipino (Tagalog and Chavacano) song, “Porque” by Maldita, from Zamboanga Chavacano the Spanish creole of the Philippines.

I was drawn to her version of the song because she was the first female at the time that did a cover.
I found it quite refreshing with a female sound
