It does not steal, it creates something new. But thank you for your comment! It's an interesting conversation and it's going to be an exciting future for the human race. Cheers pal!
@@FutureTechPilot It is sort of stealing. It uses art of artist to get to those results with out it, it would never been this amazing. A picture is literally worth a thousand words or prompts in this case lol. Stable Diffusion allows to adjust the influence percentage wise and I think there are commands to allow midjourney to do the same

Love the enthusiasm! Been messing around with midjourney V4...and just found about image prompting yesterday. Like literally born yesterday in terms of this technique 😆 Its made such a difference to my results
haha it definitely felt like a cheat code when I heard about it... Cause I never knew why anyone would use image prompting. But creating an abstract image to start and then prompting from there - felt like a superpower lol
You could for sure .. but that's a little iffy in terms of copyright and the whole ethics thing. I think it's best to make these images as much your own as possible
@@FutureTechPilotut then may I ask what would be the point in generating an image to use for a prompt? Seems like you could get the same result without using a image and just typing in “abstract joker” or “abstract joker on a portrait” I think the potential is using real actual images to prompt. But I’m new to this lol
@@allieboy181 I completely agree. It seems like it would work, just typing in abstract joker. but I THINK it would give you more of an abstract looking Joker rather than the joker in an abstract image ... you know what I mean? I think there is a slight difference and with image prompting, you can kinda set the color and composition for the a.i
kindaaa ua-cam.com/video/XqWTBivySCM/v-deo.html I don't like that video very much, and I need to make a new one ... but I think that will help you out? Let me know
Those look amazing but when merging characters like Joker etc in your images, can you still re-sell them or use them for POD like Redbubble etc? I know, that when you purchase the subscription on Midjourney you do get the rights, but I don't know if this still applies to the scenario mentioned above.
You definitely own the images .. but I cannot advise selling any copyrighted material. Like, you can't just make a Batman comic and sell it, so I don't think you can make pictures of Batman and sell them either. However that clearly doesn't stop people from doing it ... I just wouldn't want to take the risk
@@mark35mi That's super strange. The only time I've ever seen a Web file is when I go to save the picture before it is done generating. I'm sorry you're having that problem, and I'm sorry I'm not more help!

i used the exact same image and prompt that you used but got something completely different, how did you define what joker image you wanted to use? thanks
I didn't! That's fascinating though. I never rerolled the images, perhaps I would have gotten a different Joker every time ... I guess that goes to show you how much time you can spend with the a.i and still see new things

I see this as a like a creative collab with the A.I. Without the cleverly selected image fed prompts the results wouldn't be what they are. They look so cool.
I'll tell you how you can get these images without complex image prompting and procedural generation: Gaining skill in drawing and painting by drawing and painting artwork. ;)
@6:12 I am trying to create a canvas for my son for christmas and would love for you to tell me the prompt for this please. And did you reference any image with it also? Thanks. Loving the art and your enthusiasm!
I'm glad you like the picture! Yeah I used one of the abstract images as a reference ... as for the prompt, it was literally just 'batman' haha You should do some prompts of 'abstract designs' or 'abstract design in muted colors' and then use one of those as an image prompt with the word batman. Also make sure you have the aspect ratio set to 3:2 ... that's what I used in the video. Thanks for the comment!
@@derekcavan6000 V4 doesn't allow weighted inputs for image prompts, but you can still adjust the aspect ratio. There are 2 available --ar 2:3 and --ar 3:2
@@arg3882 So, if you see two colons :: that is called a multi-prompt. It basically splits your prompt into two or more distinct pieces - and once you divide the prompt like that, you can add weights to different parts. So if you wrote "dog ::1 cat ::3" you would get 3x as much cat. --v 4 refers to the version you want to create on. So you could put --v 3 if you wanted to use version 3 for some reason. And --q 2 refers to the quality of the initial generation. The default is 1 and it's the regular thumbnails. But if you put --q 2 in your prompt, the thumbnails will generate slower, cost you more of your fast hours, BUT it will have more detail in the initial pictures - 2x the amount of detail. If you put --q .5 in your prompt, it would generate faster, cost less, but be slightly less detailed than normal. AND just for the first generation. Once you upscale, all the details get added normally. Hope that helps!
You can check out this video ua-cam.com/video/t7b91-fr09A/v-deo.html if you want to see more in depth on how to make the images yourself. The cheat code is really just generating your own abstract images and then image prompting with them
I just tried searching for it myself and couldn't figure it out. Like it says that you can search for a user BUT I'm pretty sure you have to follow that person on the Midjourney site first ... so maybe you'd have to ask around on Discord? maybe someone knows them? I just wanted to share that it’s a little different to do this if you only use the mobile version like me.. ***ATTENTION MOBILE USERS!***For mobile users: hold your finger down on the image you just upscaled but don’t open it, a menu will pop up and choose “copy media link” and then you can paste it in the prompt box and type in your prompt.
Yes, exactly! Thank you for pointing that out. I didn't cover it in this video but you're absolutely right.
Also, you should try out one of the new features .. type in /blend and you can choose up to 5 pictures to blend together. You can't add any text to the prompt, so it's not identical to image prompting, but still very cool and easy to use
how do you look at someones gallery?
If you find one of their pictures on the website, you can choose to 'follow' them ... how do you find someones pictures? You can find them through the community gallery but the search function doesn't work quite right at the moment .. you can expect big updates to the website coming sometime soon

It does not steal, it creates something new. But thank you for your comment! It's an interesting conversation and it's going to be an exciting future for the human race. Cheers pal!
@@FutureTechPilot
It is sort of stealing. It uses art of artist to get to those results with out it, it would never been this amazing. And there weren’t any artist given permission for there art work to be used in Ai “to learn”
Go to ArtStation, see how many artist are already protesting.
(Secondly there’s just AI art, that people used/sold, that looks 90% of original art. Which people didn’t knew about lol. So it’s nog right at all atm)
It’s taking everything everyone created though and just changing it with algorithms so technically Rimas is not wrong. My brother and sister think it’s a scam but i think you have to be clever somewhat. I can’t seem to turn certain pictures of people I know into what I want but other pictures work great no sure if I’m missing something or it depends on the quality of the pic + prompts
@@xXLiLHiGsXx Midjourney also isn't that great for turning pictures of people into other things - but it will only get better, I'm sure

hmm? You need to join the Discord server. If you go to the main website, www.midjourney.com/app/, you can click your name on the bottom right and it should say 'go to Discord'
What gallery. I’ve never been able to use midjourney website to search for other people

Thanks a lot for your comment, I'm really glad to help people learn this new technology. Best of luck to you, and I hope you enjoy the process :)
What's even cooler, is that you can upload an image of yourself and turn yourself into a pixar character or an anime character etc... You can make your self wear anything/ do anything, follow a youtube video tutorial if you don't know how to do it.
Its pretty cool, you should try that out.
Thank you for pointing out that suggestion. I've had the idea to do that but have never gotten around to it for some reason haha but maybe I should reconsider!
Hey, so I've tried this but it always gives me an image of a person with a face similar to mine in terms of build and obvious features (beard, slim jaw etc) but very clearly a completely different person. Is there a trick to getting it to make it actually look like the person in the photo? Thanks!

Yeah generating abstract images and then using them in an image prompt
@@FutureTechPilot"and then using them"?? are you using and app to generate your broken English? you clearly dont explain what the "cheat code" is. thtats the whole point of this question...

haha I'm always glad to hear other people share my excitement.

I am sorry for my studip question. Where can I get the cheat code?? I can't /imagine.
haha the cheat code is simple using an abstract design as your image prompt, then you can type in whatever you want. If you actually can't use '/imagine' I suggest you speak to someone on the 'member support' channel on discord! Good luck :)
A picture is literally worth a thousand words or prompts in this case lol. Stable Diffusion allows to adjust the influence percentage wise and I think there are commands to allow midjourney to do the same
That's my favorite saying for sure haha it's so true. And yeah, Midjourney has that option but unfortunately it's not available in Version 4 at the moment. So we can't tweak the weights.
Honestly, any time there is less options, I am kind of relieved lol
It’s the future man! I really curios how websites will look in a couple years when anyone now can get such images.
I think I will prompt some paintings and let them print with a print service and slap it on my walls.
That's a good idea! I'm sure lots of people have already done that too
amazing and I joined the discord! GREAT JOB MAN. - and i found a really really awesome link in there with some quality content. - great job!

I'd be curious to see if you could take a selfie and transform it similarly to how you did with the joker
hahah it does not work :( I mean, if I do it, It gives me a bald guy but I promise it is awful and really looks nothing like me lol
maybe one day it will be better though!
Where can I find these abstract arts

Does your aiartforbeginners course work for Stable Diffusion? as in can I get the same results?

hahah well thanks a lot!

So the cheat code you found is to use image prompting?
I've been using this for months now. This is not cheating, it's just a featuring of AI.
haha it definitely felt like a cheat code when I heard about it... Cause I never knew why anyone would use image prompting. But creating an abstract image to start and then prompting from there - felt like a superpower lol
Hey can you please share the link to the gallery seen in @0:51 min mark? 🙏
I don't have their permission so I don't think it would be fair to share it with so many people! I'm sorry
You could also do this with images form google right?
I think there is a slight difference and with image prompting, you can kinda set the color and composition for the a.i
those images looked really great...its amazing the things Midjourney can do...the crazy things there's so much more to come...
It blows my mind how much it's capable of and how much more it will accomplish soon ... wild times to be alive!
@@FutureTechPilot so true!
Do you have a video in how to start these? cheat code thing
kindaaa ua-cam.com/video/XqWTBivySCM/v-deo.html
I don't like that video very much, and I need to make a new one ... but I think that will help you out? Let me know
Those look amazing but when merging characters like Joker etc in your images, can you still re-sell them or use them for POD like Redbubble etc? I know, that when you purchase the subscription on Midjourney you do get the rights, but I don't know if this still applies to the scenario mentioned above.
You definitely own the images .. but I cannot advise selling any copyrighted material. Like, you can't just make a Batman comic and sell it, so I don't think you can make pictures of Batman and sell them either. However that clearly doesn't stop people from doing it ... I just wouldn't want to take the risk
@@FutureTechPilot thank you for the reply :) and I would agree with you and I wouldn't risk that either.
This is really cool.... but I cannot see copy image address? It is not an option that I see right clicking on the image in Discord. Might you assist?
Make sure you click on the picture first so it enlarges, then right click and copy image address should be there.
Hope that helps!
@@FutureTechPilot I did. It wasn't. Crater a discord channel and attached the midjourney bot. Worked flawless... but no copy image address.

is it possible to merge two image links?
For sure, you can paste two or more links and add any word you want or you can try the /blend feature, where you can select 2-5 images but you can't add any additional words
6:57 You have URL of this images?
No I'm sorry, but you can check out this video ua-cam.com/video/t7b91-fr09A/v-deo.html to see how I made the images more closely. I don't think I showcase the specific one you're referring to but you should have no problem recreating something similar yourself!

Same. I get excited and yell for my gf, she's not nearly as impressed or excited 😆
@@chauncysmind haha keep doing you
nice trick, this works decently in stable diffusion too, and you can make it generate the abstract images for you too and then just press the "send to img2img" (assuming automatic1111) on the one you want to make your final image from.
That's awesome! I'm glad a lot of these tricks aren't restricted to a specific platform ... now all Midjourney needs is inpainting and outpainting lol
i used the exact same image and prompt that you used but got something completely different, how did you define what joker image you wanted to use? thanks
I didn't! That's fascinating though. I never rerolled the images, perhaps I would have gotten a different Joker every time ... I guess that goes to show you how much time you can spend with the a.i and still see new things
WoooooW!!! That is game changing mate! THANK You! :)

I see this as a like a creative collab with the A.I. Without the cleverly selected image fed prompts the results wouldn't be what they are. They look so cool.
haha we live in the future!
I'll tell you how you can get these images without complex image prompting and procedural generation: Gaining skill in drawing and painting by drawing and painting artwork. ;)
You're not wrong!
@6:12 I am trying to create a canvas for my son for christmas and would love for you to tell me the prompt for this please. And did you reference any image with it also? Thanks.
Loving the art and your enthusiasm!
I'm glad you like the picture! Yeah I used one of the abstract images as a reference ... as for the prompt, it was literally just 'batman' haha
You should do some prompts of 'abstract designs' or 'abstract design in muted colors' and then use one of those as an image prompt with the word batman. Also make sure you have the aspect ratio set to 3:2 ... that's what I used in the video.
Thanks for the comment!
@@FutureTechPilot So you did this in V3 right? As Midjourney V4 doesn't allow aspect ratio inputs..?
@@derekcavan6000 V4 doesn't allow weighted inputs for image prompts, but you can still adjust the aspect ratio. There are 2 available --ar 2:3 and --ar 3:2
@@FutureTechPilot can you explain What is ::3 --v 4 --q 2
Where is the cheat code and prompt??
You can check out this video ua-cam.com/video/t7b91-fr09A/v-deo.html if you want to see more in depth on how to make the images yourself. The cheat code is really just generating your own abstract images and then image prompting with them

A question: How do you find a person's gallery on midjourney? I would love to see CapSe's gallery but have no clue where to find it. Any thoughts?
I just tried searching for it myself and couldn't figure it out. i always use image prompting, from the beginning, to get my template for the composition. AI is more creative than humans when it comes to combining styles like this.
The fact that a.i seemingly has no limit to its creativity is the most mind-blowing part of it
Wait until you discover that you can add basic bad drawings you make and have midjourney create images over your sketch. If this blew your mind when you discover that you will pass out xD
Wow, that sounds very interesting .... do you have any tips? Image prompt a bad drawing and then write what you wanted it to be?
