I made my Magus Lucea Kane deck as a landfall deck. The goal is to abuse Open the Way to try and cheat out so many lands that all my X spells can have huge costs. Love seeing this budget version though, MLK is such a powerhouse.
Budget decks RULE! Me and my buddies are building $50 budget edh decks rn and having so much fun building with the restrictions!! We also added an extra clause: NO SOL RING! Great game dudes!!!
Great game to watch! Was fun seeing that MLK pop off and the whole table having to deal with it. When playing these kinda games, even if I dont win I love being in a position that impacts the game that heavily and forces people to deal with it or die :D
Quick question. When making budget decks, do you ban certain commanders from consideration? For example, if you are making a $50 budget restriction, an Orvar deck feels like it would take over the game pretty quickly because a lot of its pieces are really budget friendly. Also, do you include the commander's value to the budget?
Commander counts towards the cost. Budget just depends on what we're shooting for. Whenever we make videos, someone usually has a list they're wanting to play. We just review that deck and match the power level. This is even more common for budget, but we usually have less of an issue here because the ceiling for most budget decks is very close together as long as you're staying on theme.
I love my Lucea deck so much! love seeing her in action! GGs
11:37 Vesuvan Duplimancy doesn’t trigger on See Double because doesn’t only target a single creature, it targeted a spell
My brain got smoother after this game ❤

That Orvar deck was really cool, generated a lot of value (the other decks were cool too!)
