Same. I don’t like banana anything except this perfume. I layered it with Saab’s Girl of Now to go to court and was stopped by the security women,court staff, a cop and others all day. It layers really good with my chocolate perfumes.

Hey Chris! Sorry to see that we won't be by the pool anymore this summer. I love your outdoor videos. The first fragrance that smacked me in the face with banana was Ylang in Gold. I later went back to it and was able to get more of the floral components and appreciate it more. But I ended up getting Ylang Ylang Nosy Be. I liked the creaminess and depth and spiciness that that one had. Don't know that it's super banana, but I really enjoy it. I'm liking it for the transition time.
You are right!! And that perfume I was saving for the end but the cicadas decided I would show it another time! I love the banana vibe in that one. I had Ylang Nosy Be but let it go… I wasn’t reaching for it at all. But it’s lovely.

I ❤️ the poolside reviews! I love Vanille Banane too. My bottle is over ten years old, in the original metal bottle. I think it’s been reformulated since then, mine smells more like banana bread baking in the oven and smells that way throughout the wear. I like the L’Artisan one too. It’s more of the banana tree. I wish Navitus sold samples. I really have cut back on blind buying like when I went crazy during lockdown. Love youvideos Chris! You’re one of my very favorites!

Hello Chris! I love my Ambrosia Imperiale and Vanilla Planifolia(which I had stalked at Selfridges online for months) and I recently acquired Bana Banana (after hunting it for months). I love that the banana note is present in all these fragrances yet still definitely smelling like perfume and not food. 🍌🍌🍌

Would love a video with your Lush favorites. I've been getting more into their scents - their lotions & fragrances. I really love Vanillary, reminds me a lot of Bora Bora.. and the Sleepy/Twilight fragrance is one of the best Lavender/Vanilla scents I've ever smelled. Rose Jam is gorgeous too and got me started with their perfumes. They have some other good ones, but I'm still quite new to their fragrance line.

Very interesting and entertaining to watch - I am a perfume lover but certainly NOT a collector; if I was a collector I probably would have several scents of every single note I found interesting and/or tolerable. Personally I would never wear a banana scent however niche is, but this does not stop me from enjoying a collector pro speaking about the subject, thank you ❤

Wow, I love these, all of them, especially the first two! We grew up eating old fashioned banana pudding on holidays and get-togethers. We don't eat sweets anymore, but I can taste it just thinking about it. And I would not mind smelling like it, either, LOL! I know Cynthia. I am exactly the same, I love to read a book or magazine outside at sunset …all those noises you speak of I find them so relaxing. Except when they get naughty and yell at me when I’m trying to film a video! 😂
My problem is that my roosters seem to know when I'm filming (they can probably hear me talking from 300 ft away in their barn) and they want to be stars. I remember trying to do videos on my front porch after the 17 year cicadas popped out. Boy, oh boy!

I recently got a sample of Bana Banana and it opened up as a realistic banana to me and quickly dried down to the strongest baby powder! (and my husband and my son both said all they got was baby powder). I’m not a big fan yet, but I’ll try my sample out a bit more! 😊

Well, after sampling Vanilla Planifolia based on your recommendation in this beautiful video, I just sprang for a full bottle. In the opening I get a big whiff of what I think is ambroxan, which I can’t tolerate. However, it quickly dissipates, and I’m left with something that resembles intoxicating yet light bananas and cream. Wow! Thank you for turning me on to Vanilla Planifolia…I think.😉

Absolutely love Bana Banana. It added the banana note missing in my collection. I'm the odd man out on Ambrosia Imperiale. It absolutely did work for me. I ended up selling it. Also, sounds like your daughter went to a Debutante ball.
Oh yes it does sound like a debutante ball. But it was a special service at her school..she goes to a girls Catholic School and they had a special Mass and all the young ladies wore white. They all looked so lovely. 👼
Simon Constantine from Lush has his own brand now called ånd fragrances and Sånd is a beautiful dry sandalwood with a lovely Banana Note (he also has one called Får which smells like Lemon cheesecake and I suspect it might be right up your street!). Sånd is odd on first spray but dries down into a very beautiful perfume. Speaking of Lush, I find their Ylang very Banana like and I Looooove Keep it Fluffy which is a tangy fruity floral with banana-like yang, rose and Jasmine. It’s actually amazing in warm weather!
I have Muse de Rochas which has a strong banana leaf note and I think it smells like a banana bar soap. Demeter Banana Flambé is fun but smells more like banoffi pie to me as it’s certainly got a biscuit note in it!
Ps, I swear by Sympathy for the Skin - I’m not keen on strongly perfumed lotions and that one just works with anything and is so fabulous for my skin! I don’t work for lush or anything, just kinda love the shop 😂

I don’t have any Banana perfumes but I love the smell of banana & must try one. I have a couple of Banana body creams. A realistic smelling banana fruit salad one from Hideaway which is really nice. I currently have Banana washing powder & it makes my laundry smell like Banana lollies & im loving that. 🍌

Le Monde Gourmand had a banana scent last year that very sweet, gourmand, a little bit laffy taffy, but also brown sugar and more sophisticated than Vanille Banane. I want another full bottle of that so badly! I've also really been enjoying the Sugared Banana and Banana Leaf products from Hempz.. the scent power is really good considering they're just body care products. I'd highly recommend.

I have been obsessed with feminine powdery vanillas lately. I have Junoon Noir (a Xerjoff Dama Bianca dupe that I enjoy more than the OG, but they're super close anyway*)... and I also got another dupe called Forbidden Sugar from Paris Corner I think?? I dunno it's another Middle Eastern brand. It needed a couple short weeks to macerate, but now it is so lovely. Both fragrances are soft but present, feminine and addictive & sweet. Would love a video on these kinds of scents.

I only have 2 Banana fragrances... I have a 10ml Decant of Ambrosia Imperiale and I grew to enjoy it. I don't think I will need a full size bottle though. I like it and it's unique but I am not going crazy over it like so many seem to be...
And I have Vacation, a cheapie (picked up on sale for $30 at Ulta) and this grew on me too. I like it, but not in love. But it is fun and different enough for me to keep in my collection and bring it on vacations or the beach with me. 🍌

I went crazy or bananas :) for banana this year and I also have Simone Fracassi Donna Sentenza;-very gourmand to my nose; Boy! I have to hold onto my Bana Banana and treasure it. Furthermore I have Daukens Arome bananes bruele. Also, Bonbon Banae -bit more flowery which I prefer. My fave is a total cheapy $5 or so from a seller I found on ebay called banana floral .From Dua Brand travel sizes of Banana & Vanilla Custard Flan.

Hi Chris. When you spray your clothes, are you spraying them before or after you put them on? Where do you spray?
I spray after I get dressed on my clothes. The only exception is if I’m wearing something solidly white and the juice is darker. I’ll spray further away and walk into a more diffuse must so as to not discolor my clothes. Otherwise BAM, right on the clothing. It keeps the scent more “pure” by not reacting to skin chemistry. Esp for more freshie fragrances.

Is there a particular cycle that perfumers follow as to when they remake and restock? Like when in the year are we most likely to find things in stock? I'm guessing they restart production the Fall getting ready for Christmas? 🎄🎄
It’s more about supply and demand. I find when they get a lot of play on social media….EDp bigger accounts…then they go out of stock! 😉🤣
While I will never let a banana pass my lips(I despise them!) I actually enjoy the banana gourmands that you mentioned as well as Bana Banana…go figure! I am anxious to try 1973 Banana Candy.

@@ThePerfumeNest thanks. I wore bana banana for the first time yesterday at work and I loved it. I didn't get many compliments but then again I work in an emergency room so I'm not really trying to call attention to myself. But it did last on me my entire 12-hour shift. I definitely enjoyed it.
I always prefer gourmands that are not straight photo-realistic foodie gourmands it seems. I want my perfume to smell like a perfume. But I love gourmands.
I am coming around to that also. I used to love foodie perfumes; I’m leaning slightly away right now.
