Love Kala Ghoda. Important trivia - Watson Hotel was where the 1st Film ever made was screened. Importantly - it was the 2nd country in the world that ever screened the film made by the Lumiere brothers in 1896. The 1st country was of course France - the country where the 1st ever moving pictures were created (By the the Lumiere brothers)
Favourite area. MaxMueller Bhavan was a favourite spot for me. Samovar & Rhythm House are no more.Westside used to be Tata Finance, Tata Registry office, Is Chetna still there saw copper chimney but did not see Chetna. Next may be do a history tour of Gateway to Regal ; Apollo Bunder Road Tour
My friends and I will be staying here for a week thanks to this video! Do you know anywhere we can play music? We are from the states but we are very respectful and friendly and play professional music
Hi Sherry, your video brought back memories of my days attending German classes at the Max Mueller Bhavan, which is right next to Jahangir Art Gallery,. I remember those days when we had the Way Side Inn, Rhythm House, and Samovar, all iconic, but sadly no more. I used to enjoy Prawn Pulao with Limca at Samovar on rainy afternoons with a lovely view of the Wales Museum garden. All in all a great video, though I think a tour of the NGMA would have been great. Thank you for the fab content!
Loved every moment of it.. such nostalgia so thank you for making this video. I’ve moved to the states since 13 years and only visit Mumbai every couple years or so and I never skip visiting colaba and kala godha ever. During college days I used to practically visit these places every other week and man I miss living in India.. no other place like Mumbai…
Wow this gives such a fresh vibe to the whole hustle and bustle of Mumbai..I remember going with my brother to Rhythm house on weekends and picking up all the Hilary Duff and Hannah Montana DVDs.. the good old days 😍❤ also I remember the delicious Aloo u get at Ayubs as the perfect midnight snack ..😊 this video actually gives a beautiful calm vibe to Mumbai ..😊 it can easily make you feel all touristy in your own city 😊❤
Thank you for this! I leave in malabar hill and I and husband we love going to kala ghoda area. I used to work in army navy building 😊 (owned by tatas) there are lot of small eateries as well like street food stalls
I am an alumni of Elphinstone college and Jahangir Art gallery was our place to go for free AC. But some of their exhibition were beautiful!!!! And i didn't know that dilapidated building was Watson hotel, not that I was aware of the hotel, we used to call it Xerox wali building 🤦🏻♀️
I came to Mumbai and met you on the street 😊 that time I watched your Colaba video..looking forth to spot you again next month to explore more Kala Ghoda😊
I live in Malad and whenever I visit colaba churchgate I'm just mesmerized by seeing those old buildings. And you look gorgeous in the lehenga choli 💗💗🌼
Thanks Sherry for this .. I have recently moved to Mumbai so these series have been so helpful .. hoping to bump into you in one such ‘touristy’ day 😁 much love ❤️
