What type of pencil did you use to draw on the pavement? And does grit of the sandpaper matter?

Any type of ordinary coloured pencils will do the trick ( I used STAEDTLER HB ). As for sand paper I wouldn't go any rougher that 120 but more that grit look at the texture and colour of it.

Of course you could build it inside the shoebox and cut one of the side wall of the shoebox and you done.
