I've had great grades all my life, and suddenly, this year, I'm doing absolutely horribly. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. I've always had straight As, been a teacher's pet... And now I'm dealing with Bs and Cs, and even one D. My mom is furious, my self esteem is at an all-time low, and I'm so confused... It feels like my life is crashing down around my ears. And I can't figure out why. Maybe it's because I'm in all honors classes all of a sudden, maybe I've become a lazy asshole, maybe my ongoing existential crisis is making it hard to get work done.. Last year was the worst year of my life when I was in 7th grade I got all 50's (that's not a joke 100 precent accurate) and it wasn't bc I'm dumb it was bc I was being a lazy ass I had terrible anger issues and I would be a smart ass. Once my favorite teacher had to go out and have a baby so we had a substitute and well, I hated her and she decided to put a frown on my test bc I did terrible so I ripped it up and she told me to stop. I was like make me. She didn't do anything. (Anger issue. ) in the same class different days she told us to grab White boards and said Noone write on them so me being an, idiot decide to draw on it and I kept drawing and she saw me and said, "Brooke what part of don't write on the white board did u not understand" and I said "I understand it all you see I am not writing on it I'm drawing on it" so she said cap the marker so I did then she asked two questions in Spanish and she looked at me and said why haven't you answered the questions and I smirked and said "Because you told me to cap the marker. " (Smart ass) my entire class thought both these incidents were hilarious and laughed so hard the teacher told them to stop laughing because the only reason I did it was to make people laugh and I screamed its really because I hate you. Then she sent me to the office and I got a detention. This year I'm in 8th grade and have amazing grades I get honor and all my teachers are amazed on how much I changed my grades because I'm still a smart ass and get in trouble but not as bad/much as last year.

People who are actually struggling with extremely bad grades. It’s going to be okay, your grades don’t define you as a person. And you can just say that you tried your hardest. I may get held back this year and it’s hard. Most of us right now are dealing with serious mental illnesses and no ones helps us. Not even our parents. I want you to know that everything will be okay, and it’s okay to fail. It’s okay to even get all Fs and All Ds, it’s hard I know, but at least your tried. You tried your best and I’m so so proud of you!
