I found that layering Burberry Touch over harsh scents really calms them down and makes them more palatable to the nose. I like Ameer Al Oud Intense, but it's too much spice and incense for my liking, so I spray Burberry Touch over it and the Powderyness really softens it and makes it more pleasing.
Personally my favorite is John Varvatos Artisan Pure + Armani Eau Pour Homme. Those citruses combine and give it this extra kick that I adore.
Currently combining JV Artisan Teal and YSL Y Edp as they smell really similar to me. Right now thru smell great together, but who knows, the dry downs could change it completely. Just got the Teal yesterday and immediately smelled Ysl Y and then saw Dallas from CF also saw this. Teal is more aquatic and a bit more citrusy to my nose
Just finished Laying the Harmony Code Absolu and Sapil Bound. Both Armani Code dupes, of Absolu and Profumo. These two clones layerd together made a stronger Code, almost beast mode. If you want a strong code these combined is what you are looking for, and because they are clones they are affordable.
sad I missed the survey, but here’s mine for warm weather:
1) Dior homme sport and Dior homme 2020 gives it depth
2) can also layer any two of the three citrus diors (DH, DHS, DHC) together with great results
3) Narciso Rodriguez Bleu noir edt and Dior homme cologne, but top DHC way later in the day (refreshingly clean, amazing!)

Also in my mind a combo that might work but I haven’t tested yet: initio oud for greatness with montblanc explorer edp… just tiny managed sprays, though.. 😂 would anyone test this hypothesis
Ombre Leather EDP is an excellent base for layering.
Ombre leather parfum with acqua di gio profondo.
One magic combo for summer is Montblanc Explorer with a little Mancera Sicily. Three compliments in NY from total strangers in one day.
Also, I find Mercedes club black, layers well with all sorts of sweet frags.

Try out Chanel Allure Sport + Xerjoff Torino 21. The dryness of Allure sport shines with some mint on top

Two combos I love is layton and ysl tuxedo or layton and naxos they are ❤️🔥
Man, Drakkar Noir + Cool Water the original is fire. It's like Green Irish Tweed made darker. Fire combo!
call me crazy, but I just recently experimented with putting a sweet tobacco fragrance over a (dried out) citrus and it worked magic - I used Karl Lagerfeld Bois de Yuzu (I let it dry out) and then Exclusiff Tabac...🤩🤭
I enjoy PDM Harod and Maison Alhambra The Tux together
Lattafa Rave Now is a great layering fragrance because it's a linear pineapple bomb (fun to wear by itself also as a party scent or for everyday stuff). I layer it with Mont Blanc Explorer to give an intense version of Aventus (works great with any Aventus style fragrances that have a smoky woody base). It also layers great with Lattafa Asad (sweetens and lightens it up -makes it easier to wear in warm weather (I'm in Hawaii) while keeping those great spices)
i never wear my asad so ima have to try that out im thinking of mixing khamrah since it’s cold still here to add sweetness, or maybe something fresh to lighten it up
how many sprays do you usually end up using?

Don’t do that you’ll just ruin both
Layering is always done by spraying
That's not entirely true I mix certain ones in a single decant and they come out great as long as you get the right mixture ratio.. fun to master a new scent.

Givenchy reserve privee and tom ford hombre leather parfum at about 3 parts privee to 1 part leather, they both easily last all day too.

You can also do Givenchy Reserve Privee with something like Azzaro’s The Most Wanted or Stronger With You if you want to give it some kick 💯
I was at a dillards last week, and a lady recommended I layer "Ombre Leather Parfum" with "Acqua Di Parma Colonia Essenza"... it was FIRE. Try it!

I mix everything ! I'm so glad you made this video. The only thing I do differently is use oils as my first layer( amber white, Egyptian musk, etc)...Scent explosions. And yes, I always get compliments...
today I tried 9pm and Tobacco Touch and my girlfriend loved it.
I made a combination of mont blanc explorer and bleu de chanel in a spray bottle of equal amounts as my everyday scent. another combination is one part of armani code absolu and one part of prada l´homme and it gives a stronger scent of bubble gum

Yesterday I layered Versace Oud Noir with Dylan Blue, and the result was amazing!!!
It smells like a niche version of Dylan Blue👌 I urge you to try it for yourself ✌️

1. Dylan Blue + Detour noir(can't afford layton..lol) = very classy
2. Detour noir + MB legend spirit = fresh and attractive mixing mystery

Just got in Detour Noir and have had MB Legend Spirit, which I love, for awhile now. Def have to try it.
Gotta be honest, my Detour Noir, so far, is a little disappointing bc it was so hyped. Pretty synthetic off the rip. May have to let it macerate for a bit
@@brianesbaugh6897 Yeah, I was a little disappointed with DN as well after all the hype. But for £20, overspray it, let it dry down and it doesn't do a terrible job.

Edit: it cuts the sweetness down while still maintaining a kick...the sillage is a chef's kiss

I tried this today with LNDL but substituted The Tux with Rochas Moustache because I have it... Verrrry nice! Fresh and sweet. It gives me a reason to use LNDL because I generally reach for Bleu Electrique over it. Thank you

layering can work, but most of the combinations just get too busy and dull out what made the scents unique in the first place.

I've started layering Marine Minerale over ADG EDT over Nautica Voyage because I'm not too crazy about either of them as standalones. A surprisingly pleasant combination.

Yesterday I layered Azzaro TMW Parfum and Naxos.. Never recieved that many compliments. 3 sprays Naxos in the neck, 3 Azzaro on the clothing. Environment= indoor medium to long range

By accident I decanted CH BB Cobolt (66%) and Coach Green (33%). If you got them give it a try. It’s like a Aqua green Scent. 🔥
Wow what a fun and interesting video Ash! Feel like a door just opened to me haha. Instead of buying more frags, why not start layering the ones you have? Just 5 frags can give you many combinations, probably not all will work but the discovery is the fun part!
Ooh...I have HMX + Kamrah...ima try it. I have a 10ml decant of kamrah quawa and it's awesome..I'll do the layering side by side with the kamrah quawa see which is better.

Dude I layer all the time. Gucci guilty absolute with a few sprays of Ralph lauren Big pony # 4 with oud is a amazing combination. Ive been stuck on it for days. Cant get enuff of it. I actually dont want people to know what im wearing.

FINALLY!! Man! The two things that I want most from fragrance UA-cam are the two things I never get. This is one of the two! I'm so glad to see it and hope to see more.
I want throw it out there that some of these seem a bit safe. There's nothing wrong with that in my book but don't miss the opportunity to layer into something truly unique and exciting. For example, try layering Encre Noir with Bright Peach for a peculiar scent like a peach dipped in ink. Or Bright Peach with Mancera Red Tobacco. I'm curious to hear feedback from the pros here but I get a lot of compliments when doing weird stuff like this.
Letting the first fragrance dry like suggested is a great idea. Additionally, I'll allow them play on top of each other but often try to spray in adjacent places. On my arms I'll try to spray the outside of my forearm versus the inside of my forearm or something like that. I might be full of it but I think that the juxtaposition allows them to mix in the air to varying degrees. The effect is even more prominent as they dry down to a skin scent. If you spray at a one-to-one ratio but allow them to mix in the air like that, The experience can easily slide from 60/40 to 40/60 the other way.

PS one-to-one is rarely the right ratio IMO. You especially have to watch out for things like Bright Peach.
One other hot tip: Get you a bottle of Pink Sugar.
