3:30 you can skip lower treasure because upper treasure (+2 blocks on bridge) usually gives you enough stuff for your trades (if you know where the blocks are hidden). 5:56 the starter staircase is in 4 4 of the chunk. If you were unlucky you could have dug in the right chunk but hit bedrock without hitting any stronghold.

Regarding feeling forced to make commentary videos, one trick I have tried is to literally just start recording, and whatever I end up talking about it what is in the video. It takes off quite a bit of the stress since you don't have expectations to begin with, so you can't fail!
