I'm watching this episode panic'd because I don't know what notification is going off in my computer.
But now I know the sound Mike hears when he turns his mic on.
He's playing at that level. But the ravens clearly aren't trying to get him MVP, otherwise they'd let Lamar score the TDs in the red zone instead of handing it off all the time.
Take Lamar out and they can’t score any TD’s. He is the MvP right now.
The Ravens are 4th in scoring offense and people act like they were struggling all year, despite having the lead in every 4th q 2 min warning.
I always try to imagine what each mvp candidate would do if swapped. Lamar would probably average 40 points a game as the sf qb. His numbers in a clean pocket are as good as anyone, and when you think you got him, you don't.

And this is why I don’t understand why Lamar doesn’t get more love. Lamar has never had the weapons Herbert, Tua, Josh, Dak, Burrow, Mahomes, Hurts have. Zay would be the 3rd receiver on most of those teams. The Lamar discussion has been weird to me for a few years now.

Lamar is easily MVP if they win on Christmas. Should be between he and CMC anyway. Purdy lost 3 in a row when he had weapons similar to what Lamar had in 2019 or even at times this year.
Lamar's 3 losses were all blown 4th qtr leads. He doesn't have the stats needed to win the award..Purdy has been great vs good teams this year and I won't be surprised if he plays great again vs the Ravens like he did to Dallas and Philly. It's not written anywhere that an MVP candidate has to go undefeated.
Purdy is in the box seat right now...and the 1 seed with 13/14 Wins with the best offense locks it for him.

He has more total yards than Purdy does, same INTs, 5 less TDs. If he beats Purdy he’s easily MVP as he’d have best record in the league and a H2H win over him.

The 49ers lost to Cleveland same team the Vikings who aren't as good as the colts and the Bengals who the ravens swept. I hate when people try to use that logic on why you can't believe in the ravens, but the 49ers are dominant.

The listener at the beginning was right. NIL talk at the start of a Monday was incredibly boring and a producer should be able to tell them that and keep them from going off on things no one wants to hear about.

Lamar had 36 passing TDs in 2019 and a bunch of rushing TDs too..plus the 1 seed. This year, he doesn't have the counting stats needed to win the award.
Brock Purdy is in the box seat..I feel like people are kinda overthinking this right now. If SF are able to get past Baltimore on X-mas, he's a lock for it.
Remember that this isn't about who is the "Most talented" or "Best" it's generally a combination of volume stats, efficiency and wins.
Purdy is setting a bunch of passing efficiency records..he deserves it if he maintains this pace. I don't want to hear the CMC stuff.We already saw this play out in Philly last year...a great QB( Purdy is already one) is more valuable than a great RB anyday.
BTW, Lamar has been in Baltimore for 4 years with great defenses and a SB winning coach and has 1 playoff win..He may not have the best weapons but he always has a top3 defense....if he's so good..he should get deeper in the post season with that.
MVP has always been a production award..not a talent award....the QB of the league's best passing offense and the most wins deserves the award in my book..regardless of the hypotheticals.

It's not that hard to realign the college football landscape down to four power conferences by geography and a equal amount of teams with in each conference. Lamar wins games with backup running backs beat up o lines and trash WRs for years. He also plays in a much tougher division AFC North is probably the best division in football the last 5 years.
