  • Welcome back to Rocket's Garage! Today's episode features an exciting upgrade for the 2010 Jeep Liberty - a stealthy installation of a Badlands ZXR winch from Harbor Freight using the HK Offroad hidden bumper mount. We've taken it up a notch by replacing the standard wire with a high-performance Yankum Ropes synthetic winch line and a Yankum Ropes Grooved Fairlead, enhancing both usability and safety.
The Badlands ZXR winch is a robust choice for off-road enthusiasts, known for its reliability and strength. By pairing it with the Yankum Ropes synthetic winch line and Grooved Fairlead, we ensure a smoother, safer winching experience. This combination not only enhances performance but also significantly reduces the weight and increases the ease of handling compared to traditional wire ropes.

I love the thumbnails… what do you use to create them?

Love mine but I also got the receiver mount. I see you have the same problem I had with the bottom of the fender flares not clipping in and leaving big gaps. I put a 3/8 fairlead spacer between the winch mount and bumper cover. It’s still not perfect but it helps a lot. Using new clips also helped.

Subbed to support another dummy that bought one of the poorest selling most hated jeeps ever. 😂 mine had a blown water tank and leaky transmission when I got it. Finally got it in a driveble state where I can move to the fun stuff.
