- What If Anakin Skywalker Led the Rebellion? Let’s explore the depths of this idea in this video.
Palpatine grits his teeth as he defends against Mace Windu’s attack. The Jedi Master rushes at him, his purple lightsaber shining in the darkened room and flashing like lightning.
Though Palpatine managed to defeat the rest of the Jedi strike team, Mace was more of a challenge. When his counterattack is easily pushed back, he considers the possibility he might be defeated.
As the duel drags on, Palpatine feels the dark powers emanating across the room, passing through mace Mace but not flowing freely. Mace is holding it back through sheer force of will. If Palpatine is to win this duel, he will need to be smarter.
He ducks under a swing and suddenly deactivates his lightsaber. With a smile, he raises his hands.
Palpatine: I surrender.
Mace barely stops himself mid-swing. For a moment, he’s too surprised to say anything.
Mace: You do?
Palpatine: Yes, yes, I do. I shall let the Senate decide my fate. However, you should not hold your breath. I have powerful friends in the highest of places .
The Jedi Master doesn’t return the smile and presses his sword closer to Palpatine’s throat until he is sure the sith lord feels its heat singeing the hairs on his neck.
Mace: Then perhaps I should finish you here.
Palpatine: You may, but you’re only fighting the symptom, not the disease. Do you think I made the Galactic Senate what it is? Though I would like to take credit, the government has been rotten for many years. I simply found a way in. I sense your hatred for them, I hate them too. Together, perhaps we can change that.
Mace: Is that what you told Dooku?
Palpatine: Yes. And look where we are. The Separatists have shown themselves like a snake, now ripe to be removed from power. Though are you brave enough to stand as an executioner?
The room goes still as Mace glares down at the Chancellor, thinking of everything he’s said. Then slowly, he deactivates his lightsaber.
Meanwhile, in the Jedi Temple, Anakin is preparing to leave for the Senate building when footsteps echo across the temple grounds. It's like an earthquake, thundering and causing the Jedi to stumble and look around in confusion.
From the temple steps, a sea of white appears as clones from the Coruscant Guard and 187th Legion begin to appear. Their leader isn’t a clone commander though. Instead, that figure is dressed in the robes of a Jedi and when he removes his cloak, reveals the stoic features of Mace Windu.
Mace: Attention, my brothers and sisters! I come here not as a conqueror, but as a liberator. Today, we end the Clone Wars and the corruption that plagued our Republic. While the CIS Council is cornered, now is the time to strike at the other great evil, the Galactic Senate which has led us to ruin. I invite all able-bodied Jedi to join me.
Hundreds of Jedi, particularly the younger ones, stream forward to rally alongside Mace, who is seen as a decorated war hero. Others refuse and remain where they are. In response, the clones raise their blasters and unleash a stream of stun rounds.
Orders are spread across the galaxy: the Jedi must join this purge or be arrested. Most Jedi Masters are immediately incapacitated and taken to detention halls.
Rather than activate Order 66, Palpatine instead initiates Order 37, a command that calls for the arrest of any individual or group with the threat of mass murder to force them to surrender. In this case, he placed this order on the Jedi, to join him or have the innocents they protect be slain in response.
Most Jedi quickly surrender, not wanting to risk the lives of innocents. But not all are so easily convinced. Anakin watches in horror as the clones surround their former leaders. The anger he was feeling before turns to horror as he slips out from the temple and contacts Padme.
He tells her to meet him at the spaceport, where the two slip off-world. As they board their flight, the Jedi, led by Mace, storm the Senate building and begin arresting the senators. Hundreds are apprehended, with the most corrupt being executed by clones while the rest are imprisoned. They are then forced to swear allegiance to Palaptine’s new empire.
Once they escape, Anakin contacts Ahsoka, who manages to escape the Venator-class Star Destroyer, Tribunal, with Captain Rex. The two meet at a medical station where Padmé can give birth.
After the purge of the Senate, Mace journeys to the CIS Council and massacres them. Palpatine declares himself emperor, with the Jedi acting as a police force.
Not all Jedi agree with this plan. Others, such as Yoda, Plo Koon, and Obi-Wan, make their escape. They all regroup with Anakin to plan their next move. The situation is troubling, as the support of the Jedi and clones gives Palpatine more legitimacy, so the rebel jedi begin plotting ways to turn the people against him.
Ahsoka eventually speaks out. She talks about how the Jedi’s mistake was playing politics

I believe that you have created a what if with a plethora of possibilities to explore. And I would love to see at the very least a part 2 to this story. Maybe even turning it into a full series with multiple episodes. Kind regards from Daniel Harman.

Very cool idea and story. It’s interesting how Mace actually sides with Palpatine and turns his back on the order he dedicated his whole life to, only to be put in his place by the chosen one that he distrusted so much.

This one was awesome. Palpatine stands firm and uses his brain instead of his sabers to turn Mace. It fits with what is known about him as even tho his is skilled in Juyo, Sidious hates the lightsaber and prefers the usage of the Dark Side over everything. I guess the difference is how badly Sidious would want to kill the Jedi overall. Sometimes his hate is so extreme that he'll shoot himself in the foot just so he can get out Order 66 out of sheer spite. Other times like this one, he is willing to amend the plans because the madman had 149 other Orders as backup or distractions. Awesome "What-If"!

What if Revan wasn't found in stasis until the first year of the clone wars? That would mean that Revan in his prime would be alive and well, and Darth Vitiate's spirit would still be dormant since Revan didn't awake his spirit at Yavin.
This is amazing, Mr. Darth Theorist, and I like the idea of Mace Windu being the enforcer instead of Anakin becoming Darth Vader. Who would have thought Mace could be swayed by Palpatine. My first guess is that Anakin realized he was being used to make Paplatine's dream come true and would try to fix his mistake by betraying the self-proclaimed Emperor, but Windu. I never expected that, and right there is creative writing and storytelling, and it is pure genius! This is a fantastic story, my friend; keep up the great work, and no matter what happens or anybody, never let those deter you and never give up; keep trying and stay positive, be creative, and be positive. You make the best stories out there; I really mean it. Please make more of them, for they are fantastic to watch. Please make part two of it! May the Force Be With You!!

What do you think of Anakin being a Grey Jedi Knight King, and do you think Anakin would make a great king? And how would the Jedi react to Anaking forming his own Grey Jedi Order but becoming the Grand Knight King of the Mid and Outer worlds, and what of Obi-Wa? What would his reaction be like, and how did Sidious see Anakin as Grey Jedi and Knight of the Mid and Outer Rim system? What would Sidious do if Anakin were no longer part of the Jedi Order?

What if anakin spirit in the world between worlds saved padme by making her a force ghost or new mother if the ones. She could make him help ben solo and others saying you got to help people who are suffering from your past actions.
What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories.
Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself.

He would make an Excellent Older Brother for Hal Horn, and would be essentially Immune to Palpatine's Influence.
What if HK-47 assassinated palpatine when Mace had him backed up at the window?
I alway like seeing the actual light cs dark pf jedi and sith rather then just 2 sith.
I really enjoy this concept. I like stories where the Empire rises but the Jedi survive in some fashion.
However I really REALLY can't see Mace Windu turning the way you show in this story. You need to have more build up. When you radically change an established character so much, as to have Mace Windu side with Palpatine, then you need more build up. Windu is one of the hardest characters to convincingly write falling to the dark side. He's the kind of hard ass, dicipline focused, person who doesn't change his position without incredibly good reason and a lot of major thought.
I could see Mace being convinced. But slowly. Like with Dooku I would have had it be that Palpatine revealed himself to Dooku AND Windu and using that same idea, of how broken the Republic has become to convince them both. Windu puppets the Jedi and Dooku the CIS.
Or if you're interested in the Jedi civil war idea, what if Palpatine wasn't a Sith at all? What if he actually was just a politician? What if the Clone wars were a legitimate Jedi civil war too, with Dooku's faction of Jedi on one side who want to turn away from the corrupt government and the other side that wants to support the established order. With strong arguments on both sides I could very easily see that happening. Palpatine could accidently just make things worse, as a politician with no understanding of the Jedi or Force, he could mistakenly pushed his Jedi darker and darker. Until someone falls. Or you could say a Jedi on either side decided that the Dark side could break a stalemate...
What if Rahm Kota trained Anikin? What if Chewbacca was born a jedi?

I like it. I think most people would agree Mace Windex would or should have been most likely to fall. He was the most adversary of Anakin "The chosen one" He died as much if not more to drive Anskin to the dark side as Palpatine did. He could have just as easily been the sith they were looking for as Sideous or even a different sect of dark jedi completely separate from Palpatine, both hiding unaware of the other. Upon the knowledge that Palpatine was the sith they were looking for he could have just as easily been going to execute a rival dark side user as save the republic from the sith.

As much as I think the ingredients for a Mace Windu fall to the dark side are there, I doubt this moment in Revenge of the Sith alone would be able to push him over the edge. He's disliked and distrusted Palpatine for **years.** Maybe instead, Sidious over the years pushes his buttons to add fuel to his embers of distrust of the government? Or maybe Sidious pushes him in a more radical direction? One where he thinks the Senate cannot be trusted to look after the galaxy, and that the Jedi need to take over (making the claim of a Jedi rebellion all too real if more Jedi follow Mace), or failing that, a... *firmer* hand? Or perhaps, Sidious convinces him that the Jedi are too weak to do what's necessary?
This what If is better than anything Disney can come up with anymore.

Disney needs to just sell SW, they have showed time and time again they have no clue how to make a SW series or film. Out of 5 films only Rogue One is decent, out of 6 or 7 series only Andor has been decent. Nothing they have made has been anywhere near the level of quality of the first 6 films, it's pathetic.

Part 2
As we know darth vader was a natural engineer and could use mechaguru or whatever so what if he used skill to create nanobots to repair his lungs and burns while also making limbs that could conduct the force to make lightning. This could relate to inquisitor baris as she used nanobots in the bomb and he may remember nanobots and their uses. He could could also conduct experiments diguised as torture to fool sidious, learning to heal wounds, make force sensitive droids/limbs and using nano bots to manipulate mididclorians to strip or enhance the force in individuals.
What I was thinking was that he used nanobots to remove scar tissue especially around the lungs and he would be dipped in bacta or bacta would be applied this would allow him breath which means he can meditate more deeply. And for the limbs, it is possible to make material force sensitive and I was thinking he make limbs skeletal looking like in attack of the clones but would then cover the we either grafed flesh from his body or flesh made from his blood and other ingredients like perhaps kyber crystal this would make the force flow from him easier and perhaps with the sith alchemy in the limbs making his force lightning more powerful. Basically an uber vader who is perhaps stronger than full potential anakin.
Padme becomes Chancellor, the Russan Reformation is repealed and Anakin is finally granted the rank of Jedi Master after Ahsoka passes her Knighthood trial. Anakin serves as best man when Obi-Wan marries Duchess Satine. And Qui-Gon's Force Ghost rejoices as he watches over all.

The Prequel Trilogy is a propaganda trilogy. The way it portrays things is that if it wasn't for Palpatine, there would be peace and justice in the galaxy. But that's not true at all. Slavery, economic imperialism, organized crime, and corruption were rampant throughout the galaxy. The Jedi operated as a high control religion which serves a corrupt government body. We're given the Jedi and Republic vs. Sith and Empire as if those are the only two options. Anakin's fall to the dark side was written like propaganda as well which reinforces a Medieval view of morality. Don't get me wrong, it's a great story but some of the themes and premises are problematic and false.

I always loved a what if scenario where Anakin doesn't attack the Jedi temple. It defeats the EU, but it's still a great what if for what could've been, had the chosen one hadn't turned to the dark side
