Pretty much the same strengths and weaknesses as iOS and Android, except for the fact that Windows isn't open-source. But I'd still like to see that video.
@@scan4707 The gap is wider between Windows and MacOS though, compared to Android and iOS, at least in my opinion. What I mean is that Android and iOS can reasonably compete. Windows on the other hand is really a mess of an OS compared to MacOS or even Linux.

They can do the same things but with different approach. You said as if it’s not important but it is , it really is. The result mean nothing. But it’s up to users what type of approach they want , that’s why there are android users and iOS users .
Hoang Quoc Le it’s self explanatory that phones do the same tasks but in different ways. I’m just saying that choosing the operating system of your phone is based on personal preferences

You forgot one big reason: the file system. Android's file system makes it extremely easy to interface with other Android devices and Windows PCs. With the iPhone, you cannot transfer files directly from a computer or vice versa unless you have *iTunes* . Sure, you can install it on a Windows PC, but that's an extra, complicated step. Ironically, Android does something simpler than iOS. But there's a *second* thing: Android has direct access to files, meaning it is extremely easy to use third-party media players such as VLC. So it does two *huge* things simpler than iOS.
Not sure what's the complain about files! They are getting better and better everytime. Also it's bad to compare ios with windows pc! Ios works seamless with macbooks! I would say same thing about android if you want to transfer data to macbook! It's like using AirPods but for Android device, 2 different softwares that are not created to be bonded with each other!
I bought an android exactly today In less than 12h of having it, the customizability is shocking to me (as for someone who never had an android before), the features it has is stunning like clearing cache with the tap of a button and so
Wait until you find out you can *gasp* install 3rd party apps!! You can beta test a lot of games before they even hit the stores, customisation is unmatched (you can literally change so much about android, it’s actually insane), want your fav song as a ringtone? Go for it. Want access to apps blocked in your country’s playstore? Install another game store and download it. Want to install apps that have been deleted from the store? Two clicks away. I am currently using an iPhone and I hate it so much. I hate how iOS is a control freak and won’t allow anything outside their appstore as if like their users are 10 year olds who don’t know how to use their phones. Android is a machine that works as you want it to. iOS is a control freak that makes you work only in areas it wants you to.
Great video. As an Android user, one thing I wish you could have highlighted in greater detail is the true multitasking capability that you can do on Android versus the IPhone. On iPadOS, you can run two apps side by side like you can on Android. I can be on UA-cam while shopping on Amazon or sending a text message. Also, media transfer between devices; It’s seamless on iPhone with AirDrop but iPhones don’t accept media transfer via NFC or Bluetooth. This one is a personal one for me, but since IPhones do not come with either USB-C or an S-Pen, I have to use Android. Until that happens, I will stay with an Android device while using an iPad. Keep up the great work with your videos!!
while split-screen works better on iPadOS, not all apps support it. sure, some apps on Android don't support it either but it can be forced to be used in split screen mode with developer settings. windowed mode is also far superior on iPadOS than on Android, but one thing that bothers me is that some apps don't support it, windows aren't resizeable and you can only have one windowed app open at a time. if you want other apps, you'll have to switch them. on Android apps can be forced to support windowed mode, windows are resizeable, although this feature works *horribly*, and you can have multiple apps open. another thing is that Android's window mode is broken as fuck, and if you open another app or go to the home screen the windows completely break and become very buggy (this is Android AOSP, other ROMs such as MIUI have a much better window system). I'd choose iPadOS over Android for multitasking
What I like most about Android is the file system. I have all my files of all types stored in folders I can easily access and customise whenever I want. And I can choose the default app I want to open them with. This whole thing, though improved since iOS 11, is still a lot more complicated on Apple devices. The other thing I like about Android was the freedom of Apps. Game emulators, Video Downloaders, torrent clients, all this stuff is only available on Android. But in the end I chose to switch to iPhone last year because of stability, simplicity, update policy, overall usability and no I’m not joking - Apple Pay. In the end i had so many issues with my android device that I didn’t want to experience it again. (Notifications not popping up, no ringtone sound, constant app crashes, keyboard not appearing when needed, just to name a few)
I too have had issues until I got a newer device that could actually run android. Low end android phones are sluggish and generally have many more issues in my experience. Although more modern budget phones like the Samsung a series phones seem to have fixed this.
My favorite two Features are actually the file management (you get direct access to the entire userspace filesystem, can save, copy and move data into whatever folder you want and are able to just use your phone as a big, fast and securely encrypted USB flash drive) and the ability to side load apps without needing to jailbreak your phone.
Having access to the open source code doesn't necessarily mean you can easily root. If the manufacturer allows for bootloader unlocking, open sourcing kernel code makes it easier for devs to modify it and release a custom kernel. But much code is closed source anyway, unfortunately. Great video anyway 👍😄
Android user here whose first smartphone was an iPhone 3GS. I bought an iPad back in 2017 and sold it within a year. One of my major gripes with iOS once I'd used Android phones was the former's lack of an app drawer; I found it very limiting and functionally unpleasant not to be able to hide apps I rarely used. I was therefore quite pleased to see that such a feature will be in iOS 14 in the form of the App Library, and was even thinking about trying an iPad again. However, I was quite annoyed and baffled to read that the App Library will not be part of iPadOS 14. Makes no sense when Apple is trying to position the iPad as a computer alternative; people will have more apps on their tablets, a possibly larger fraction of which they won't use often than on their phones. So, they need a way to organize apps intelligently that works for them, rather than being forced to relegate unused apps to stray home screen pages. However much I like how Apple does some things, I consider one of their major flaws to be a tendency to simplify things too much instead of educating users about how their device works. App Library would not be difficult to figure out or explain on an iPad, and it would make the interface that much cleaner. Yet, users are locked in to living with whatever decisions Apple makes and have little to no ability to ensure that their requests for changes are being seen, not to mention to grill Apple for explanations and get honest replies.
well, i’m on iOS 16 and it has a app library, it’s pretty easy to use but the problem is i don’t even use it, do y’all really have like hundreds of apps on your ipad?? i only got like, a hundred which most of them are either apple apps or apps i don’t care about (i only use like 3 apps a day) so the app library really don’t matter imo on ipad, on a iphone though, i guess that would make more sense but still, why do y’all have like 3pages in apps
iOS for me. Security, upgrades ( my 6 year old 6 runs iOS 12) and everything just works. Day in day out. Week in week out. You get the picture. If I had more storage I’d keep this phone until it dies.
Just put an sd card in it-- oh wait. Edit: someone said that SD cards are slow. The way i see it is that slow expandable storage is better than no expandable storage. And it's really plenty fast if you're just storing pictures or unused apps.

Awesome vid Greg. I was waiting for this video, after watching the iOS video. You are equal to all the people regardless of literally everything. Great video on android and everything you said in the video is completely true about android. I’ve got something to say as an android and iOS user. “Everybody who has watched Greg’s video or who has at least seen the title of the video, should not differentiate An Apple user and An Android user. As Greg said, “Both platforms are great in their own ways and both of them aren’t perfect”. “I’m not a Apple Fanboy or An Apple Sleep, or even an Android geek. I just love to use both platforms and I think that there is no difference in which phone or platform a person’s device is running” We as human can end this ongoing war between Android and iOS and, “call it a day”. We should focus on the more important aspects of life. Like, “how to stop this ongoing Virus”. iOS and Android devices which I own Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 Android 7 Custom Rom iPhone SE (1st generation) iPad 2 (WIFI) iPod Touch (1st generation) *I’m not a Apple Fanboy despite owning many Apple devices. ✌️
Most android phones have irreplaceable batteries which happen to be usually the first thing to die, while Apple has their innovative pull tabs which make battery replacement (the most common problem) easier than androids.
@@theneighborlynumismatist8201 irreplaceable batteries are only present on a hand full of devices. There is literally a 100 alternative's which has a replaceable battery.
No, you are wrong. My A30s disabled the Fingerprint scanner hours after being dropped. And have to send it back to Samsung. Also, the battery pull tabs off Apple's is just easier to remove, rather than Samsung leaving the pull part.
@@a.f9173 I know, but as for the battery part, many Android phones have seriously glued in batteries. iPhones have easy pull tabs, Some Androids have those, but most Android have some really hard ones
To me the biggest problem with iOS is that it doesn't allow me access to the file system like Android does, it's really restrictive to me, not being able to manage my files directly. But on the upside, my old iPhone makes for a really nice music player.
That’s it music player? Lol the issue is older iPhones much older become more useless than android while android can use many older versions of apps iPhone eventually can’t use any apps which is sad too bad apple has to be that way
6:40 - 6:50 THAT'S SO TRUE!!! I own an iPad 'cause I love the ecosystem, but when it comes to smartphones I have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro 😍 'cause I love Android's freedom and customizability
I've never understood why some Apple users / Android users make fun of the other OS, whomever it may be, when they copy a feature; It happens on both sides and if anything makes the experience better for everyone. If nobody copied of the other side's features, Apple wouldn't have: copy / paste, widgets, face recognition etc, and Android wouldn't have: nearby sharing (like air drop), Gesture Controls, Better privacy related features etc. P.S. Great video :)) We need more rational thinking people like you ❤
So. There’s no Android Hate in the comments? Huh... Yet, it’s totally acceptable to go to war in the comments of the other video? (The Apple Hater Cult, my god.) Someone please explain these ridiculous people’s actions?! WITHOUT starting an argument. Anyway, here’s what I have to say: Hmm... Simplicity for success... Privacy for the people... Integration for inspiration... Customisation for creativity... Freedom for the free-runners... Choices for the choosers... Aha, I’ve figured it out! They’re both as good as each other. We just use what fits our lifestyles, preferences & (For me) special needs.
Funny, ain't it? I don't hate Android, Samsung, Google or Microsoft. I simply prefer not to use them ( YT excepted, obviously ). So why do people seek to abuse me because I prefer Apple products? BTW, I think is a creepy company these days, far too involved in politics and virtual signalling, but Google is probably worse.
I love android. The only thing I don’t like is their play store. Their play store isn’t checked by the android companies like Samsung, so a lot of apps have viruses. I also don’t like a lot of the customization, so many different phones because there are so many different choices and it overwhelms me. Also, android does not support older phones compared to apple
You missed a point that even iPhone SE's hardware is 'uselessly' too much 'powerful' for casual users who uses smartphone just for social media, UA-cam, calling, messaging & expects all these in a cheaper product. Still Android phones can be bought for as cheap as 70$ while cheap iPhone SE is 450$ which is still expensive.
Another thing you get on Android is experimentation. Being an Apple person, I generally prefer something that is polished, dependable and going to be supported for a long time, but if you want a glimpse at the future or just want something unique, Android manufacturers will try it first. Foldable phones, a phone that when plugged into a display has a full desktop experience, periscope lenses with 50x or 100x zoom, a phone that has a display that wraps around 90% of the phone (front and back), or a phone with a built in game controller, you better believe some Android manufacturer tried it first.
I use both android and iOS, I love both of them and I own an iPhone and 2 different android phones, a Samsung and pixel 6. My SIM card normally goes back and fourth from my iPhone and Samsung but my pixel is used for entertainment and mobile data hub
Took me 12 years to come to that conclusion. Spent 7 years thinking that Apple is the best and that Android is weak and that their fans don't know what they're missing. Spent the following 5 years despising Apple for their rigid thinking, overpriced products, arrogant fans (of which I once was), and the lack of keeping up with all Android had to offer. And a year ago I started to see and understand both sides of each respective OS - accepting that both have strengths and weaknesses and that each user has their preferences and reasons why they stick with a certain OS. Now, I still use Android as my daily driver and still think Applei more expensive than SOME android companies and they tend to take their time on offering new features. BUT I did test out the iPhone SE2 for a month and definitely enjoyed the phone as well as the series 5 watch. Unfortunately that small battery didn't justify keeping it passed the return policy. But I'm definitely keeping an eye on both sides of the competition and what each has to offer with each sequential update/upgrade
6:40 Holy smokes. That's exactly me.. OnePlus smartphone, Asus Laptop and an iPad. And what you've said is exactly true. I don't like being restricted by a brand. I decide what I wanna do in my phone. In terms of software support, apple does a great job because apple controls every bit of their phones and they release a very few phones which allows them to optimise and concentrate on each phone. But android is no slouch. In fact even after the 3 years of major software support and some more months of security updates that Google or OnePlus gives, we can still flash any custom ROMs and get the latest software till the phone dies eventually. My old Nexus 5 which is from 2013 is running on Android 10 (Pixel experience). ♥️🔥 And after just slapping in a stable Google camera mod, the camera performance is improved too. So this kind of flexibility and control over the OS can't be achieved by iOS. That's why I chose Android over iOS. But I must say that Apple is the best in terms of tablets.♥️🔥👌 I just love it.♥️
I’m glad you have options out there for you, but those advantages you describe are for power users who like to tinker. Most people don’t care about that, they just want their phones to work and be reliable. Their main uses consist of media consumption, taking pictures/videos, social networking, as well as some shopping, home banking and other trivial tasks. Nobody using an iPhone wishes they could hack into it to keep it up to date or modify it in anyway. Most Android users also just use their phones as they are out of the box, and never do anything major. It’s nice that there’s something out there for power users to customize and take the most advantage out of, and this is where Android shines, but it’s not something most people would do because they’re not that tech savvy.
One thing I will say is when apple finally introduces android features (e.g widgets) its often done in a cleaner, better looking and more simple way. (This is coming from an android user before people call me an apple fan boy)
Reality: -If Android copies Apple nobody cares. But if Apple copies Android everyone loses their minds. -If Apple makes a drastic change. Android manufacturers make fun of them. But the very next year they do the same.
you're partially right, not the manufacturers but android users make fun of them and actually they're sad when as you said next year the manufacturer's copy apple in terms of hw decisions.
Ayden Holton Vlogs but there was phones Looong before the iphone 7 that had removed the headphone jack, but it wasn’t well received by the users of the brand(cant remember the brand but there is a video of what was new on the iphone 7/8 that had been used/tried before)
Mostly because Apple users bash Android features but secretly covet the customization of Android. Before they hit Apple they’re called gimmicks. But suddenly widgets aren’t gimmicks now they’re coming to iOS. Wireless charging was a gimmick until iOS got it. Samsung has fast charging 4 years before Apple. Oled screens. Phablets. All these were considered gimmicky. Note 1 was bashed by Steve Jobs as a big phone. It was 5”. The shit does go both ways but I see it mostly from Apple fans as they are always late to the party on features that a few years back they called gimmicks.
While I understand that there are varying opinions on the topic, it's important to note that both Android OS and iOS have their own unique strengths and features. It's crucial to respect the preferences and choices of individual users. Instead of promoting one over the other, let's focus on appreciating the benefits and advancements each operating system offers. This inclusive approach fosters a positive and open-minded environment for discussions surrounding technology.
As an Android user I decided to buy my first iPhone - iPhone 11 instead of SE, as 11 is the perfect size. I was amazed how easy was to settup the phone, especially using the switch to iOS app. Really iOS is different, but I like the simplicity of it, however I still can't get used to certain gestures, how to set up a ring tones, and other bits
I totally agree that you should go with whatever’s best for you. Here’s my experience with both: Android: I like the customization, I’ve experienced a few bugs, but nothing unbearable. iOS: I like iOS, and the Apple ecosystem, but I’ve encountered one thing that hasn’t happened to me on Android: Apps that crash as soon as you open them. Other than that, I’ve had a good experience with both iOS, and Android.
The two features I most want from Android are changing the camera resolution without exiting the app and the incoming call UI, both are present in iOS 14 so I’m happy. Other feature I’d like to see is another keyboard row for numbers. And since Apple is opening to settings third party apps as default, I would like to be able to set Google Maps as default navigation app, in my country the Apple Maps is simply useless, it doesn’t have directions and the information available is almost non existent. I’m ok with the other iOS native apps as default.
Issue is google chrome just skins off safari. Only android is where you can truly have a default web browser that’s actually changed to that actual one.
I feel like people who haven't actually used android think this nonsense. It's the same as people thinking mac's are invulnerable to malware when they're not. I used android for 7 years and never had an issue. Google reviews the apps it puts on the play store, exactly like Apple do with the app store. It's like the saying goes; "The best anti-virus is common sense."
Freedom, choice, configurability etc. - all well and good, but also with Android 90% of the users don't fiddle around with their mobile phone, but use it as they got it. And this makes it clear what the real advantage of Android phones is: the price alone. As soon as Apple lowers its prices, hordes of Android users will flock to Apple, as you will see from the iPhone SE figures in a few months. The big problem for Android will be to ever get these users to use Android again after they have gotten to know Apple's ecosystem, update policy, security aspects, simplicity and reliability...
Exactly. I made a list of some other stuff Apple does way better than android. Apple prices slowly become lower and lower, I expect to see the majority of users come to Apple soon enough as well. Even some hardcore game developers, did you hear about all the various tools Apple is making to allow devs to implement their games across all devices better? Anyways, here’s my long ass list lmao of some other stuff: 1. Apple takes way less personal data from you vs google, and allows you to delete all of your data from apple directly. The same app also tracks you way less vs on android. 2. The app store is also way more secure than google's play store because it has a more rigorous filtering/application system. 3. iPhones in general are also more secure because there's a higher adoption rate of the latest software/security, and because more devices are able to adopt the newest software/security. 4. Malware also target android devices more for the same reasons. Because most android devices aren't up to date to the newest software/security (as a result of limited software support and adoption rate), it results in more efficient/high success of spread; and because there are way more android phones than iPhones in general, it's also more efficient (more "worth") for the host to spread to more devices at the same time, while having a higher success rate as well due to the lack of software and security updates/adoption, and inferior app filtering. 5. Apple also roles out software updates for bugs/issues way faster than android, usually within a week or two, which means less vulnerability. 6. iPhones have higher resale value, so you actually save more in the long-run with an iPhone.
@@pandacrazy8487 There are so many decisions made by Apple in the past that nobody understood then, but everything falls into place now and makes sense all of a sudden: Metal-graphics, 64-bit, ARM, unified UI, unified apps and so on.
Yes and no, android phones taxes in countries like mine are lower so iPhones are still more expensive here, and some people would prefer a bigger screen over the iPhone SE. However, ultimately I have seen considerably more people using iPhones in my country, 4 years ago in a classroom of 60 people there would only be 3 or 4 iPhone users, now I see about 10 out of 40. But anyway, in undeveloped countries, Huawei and Samsung will continue to be dominant since most people buy phones in the 100 - 200 $ range
@@augustogalindo8687 Like I said: Android's only advantage is *price* , regardless how often Fandroids praise freedom, choices, configurability, specs, bells and whistles. There are polls that asked how many people actually *have* iPhones and how many *want* an iPhone. I can't remember the numbers out of my head, but I think it were almost double the percentages who *want* an iPhone than who actually *had* one. Means: There are BILLIONS of Android users who'd rather have an iPhone. Ok, most of them live in developing countries and cannot afford one - YET! But that might change. That's the definition of "developing" countries, isn't it? Either these people climb in prosperity or Apple lowers the prices or both - and then: bye-bye Android! 95% of all humans on earth already have a mobile phone - there is no market left for Android to expand in (at least on this planet). But Apple easily can expand into Android's market share. Sooner or later Android will have only the nerds and the very poor as customers. Time works for Apple. And by the way: The same is true for Windows!

6:57 rooting in android allows users to be granted administrative privileges over the OS. The term rooting comes from the Linux community. In Linux you have to have root privilege to install apps & sometimes run programs that require allowance to read and/or edit certain files & directory in the system that the OS considers sensitive. Just pointing out, Linux shares similarities with BSD (Berkeley Software Distribution) previously know as Unix which is still the kernel of MacOS & most likely also the kernel of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS & tvOS. But this is my assumption.
Hey Greg, interesting to see the real you. I have been watching your vids for sometime and I formed a view from your voice that you were a 50 year old senior IT guy who had seen the world and wanted to impart their long experience and knowledge of Apple products after a lifetimes exposure to a techy world. Good video. I’m an iPhone user who used to be android but honestly I bounce back and forth. It depends on my mood mostly, but it’s actually all of the other stuff that keeps me tied to iOS (MacOS, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc)
I always recommend iPhone for normies even though I will never use an iPhone as my primary phone. It just works. I still prefer Android though because I can tinker my phone to work as I intended.
Technically jailbreaking IS rooting but with a different name. Both means to gain admin access to the operating system. BTW rooting is not required to change ROMs even though people think it is needed.(you only need an open bootloader)
As someone that uses android primarily, I have personally found out that it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that each phone is a portal to the same apps on either platforms. I do use an iPhone as well and it is my primary phone atm.

My biggest praise of Android over iOS for years has been how things are shared between apps. I think iOS is catching up, but from what I've seen, it's nowhere near as universal.
I want to go back to android. But I have an Apple Watch and pay for some apple services, so I’m just in too-deep with apple. When I move out and get a job, I’ll switch to Samsung. Much more customization, with good software and intense battery life. Android gives people an Admin experience, whilst Apple just gives a “user” experience. This is my opinion however! Phones are phones, we all have our preferences at the end of the day. This guy explains the pros and cons of both android and apple, I appreciate that. Having a biased video doesn’t educate well about the perks both types of phones hold. Great video! 😌👍
I went from Android to iPhone, because of simplicity. I was one, literally until the other day, that was Samsung phone, Hp laptop, and iPad. I’m not so tech savvy, and I don’t do much, but I like the simplicity. And the phones, like he said in the Apple video, will get updates longer. I was already buying older model phones with Android phones, so they never had the latest OS. So I guess the cheapness of the SE got me, but I was already looking at Apple when I was looking at my next phone “upgrade”. This is my first “up to date on the OS” phone, that will last me.
You’re right on that multiple brand thing. I have an Apple iPad, Acer and Dell Monitors, an HP laptop, Logitech keyboard and mouse, Bose and JBL headphones, and an LG phone and TV
Is it bad that I was expecting a bunch of underhanded compliments. "Androids tend to have headphone jacks so if you still have old fashioned headphones you can dust them off." Or something like "Androids excel in giving buyers so many choices they almost don't know what to go with"
The reason I like android because you have more freedom to download stuff outside the playstore itself cuz there are amazing apps there that you cant download in ios
Not really, performance in Android phones is far behind. Games and apps quality is still significantly better in iOS, maybe in the customization part is true, but I’m more than ok with that,
@@augustogalindo8687 He probably meant on the customizability front. You can customize a PC a lot and there's also a lot of models to choose from. But with consoles, what you get is pretty much what you get.

I like apples 8-pin lightning cable! And the newer IPads are compatible with the Apple pens.
while split-screen works better on iPadOS, not all apps support it. sure, some apps on Android don't support it either but it can be forced to be used in split screen mode with developer settings. windowed mode is also far superior on iPadOS than on Android, but one thing that bothers me is that some apps don't support it, windows aren't resizeable and you can only have one windowed app open at a time. if you want other apps, you'll have to switch them. on Android apps can be forced to support windowed mode, windows are resizeable, although this feature works *horribly*, and you can have multiple apps open. another thing is that Android's window mode is broken as fuck, and if you open another app or go to the home screen the windows completely break and become very buggy (this is Android AOSP, other ROMs such as MIUI have a much better window system). I'd choose iPadOS over Android for multitasking
He actually used my comments...btw ima iphone user

Your Android device?
I too have had issues until I got a newer device that could actually run android. Low end android phones are sluggish and generally have many more issues in my experience. Although more modern budget phones like the Samsung a series phones seem to have fixed this.
When I say actually run android I mean to say run it without intense UI lag
But but iOS got video game emulators too and they run smoother on iOS than on my Galaxy S8.
aravind r I had a Samsung galaxy s8+ so not exactly a budget device

You can now hide unused apps using the App Library on iPadOS 15
well, i’m on iOS 16 and it has a app library, it’s pretty easy to use but the problem is i don’t even use it, do y’all really have like hundreds of apps on your ipad?? i only got like, a hundred which most of them are either apple apps or apps i don’t care about (i only use like 3 apps a day) so the app library really don’t matter imo on ipad, on a iphone though, i guess that would make more sense but still, why do y’all have like 3pages in apps

Most android phones have irreplaceable batteries which happen to be usually the first thing to die, while Apple has their innovative pull tabs which make battery replacement (the most common problem) easier than androids.

Galaxy store.. Also even if there is a virus it would be hard to do any damage thanks to Knox on Samsung
I prefer the play store just because everything is cheaper. I only download big apps
Well good news is you don't need to use the play store. Samsung has their own store and Amazon has their own store as well.
I choose play store cause it has more apps.
So thats good for me i can download hacks and mods for any game and get free stuff
A nice fair assessment of both platforms .
Literally me. OnePlus, Asus laptop, Asus Chromebook, iPad 😅
One thing I will say is when apple finally introduces android features (e.g widgets) its often done in a cleaner, better looking and more simple way.

Settings and apps all not alphabetical order plus the not so simple looking for certain settings really sucks on iPhone compared to android
I totally agree that you should go with whatever’s best for you.
Here’s my experience with both:

The two features I most want from Android are changing the camera resolution without exiting the app and the incoming call UI, both are present in iOS 14 so I’m happy. Other feature I’d like to see is another keyboard row for numbers. And since Apple is opening to settings third party apps as default, I would like to be able to set Google Maps as default navigation app, in my country the Apple Maps is simply useless, it doesn’t have directions and the information available is almost non existent. I’m ok with the other iOS native apps as default.
all of those things you mentioned can be done on Android lmao, especially the separate row for numbers and the camera resolution
Issue is google chrome just skins off safari. Only android is where you can truly have a default web browser that’s actually changed to that actual one.

Anyways, here’s my long ass list lmao of some other stuff:

Great video. If you don't mind constructive criticism... If you haven't already try setting your video camera angle at a direct horizontal eye level.
It is a bit weird for us the audience, to look at your precense from a higher angled point of view.
I am an android user but I do own the iPad pro 12.9, there's nothing wrong with enjoying both operating systems.
He surely has many HomePods. I can count 4. Looks like a beginner's 4.0 surround setup made out of HomePods 😱

And android still has more customization

Your voice seemed authoritative, knowing and sensible, with well thought through arguments. The imagination is an amazing thing. Like your stuff, very well researched and presented.
Good video. I’m an iPhone user who used to be android but honestly I bounce back and forth. It depends on my mood mostly, but it’s actually all of the other stuff that keeps me tied to iOS (MacOS, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc)
Idk why I feel that and iMessage to be the stupidest reasons to keep a iPhone instead lol
I always recommend iPhone for normies even though I will never use an iPhone as my primary phone. It just works.
I still prefer Android though because I can tinker my phone to work as I intended.
I switched from android to iOS a couple years ago and I still don’t want to go back
Why not?
Technically jailbreaking IS rooting but with a different name.
Both means to gain admin access to the operating system.
BTW rooting is not required to change ROMs even though people think it is needed.(you only need an open bootloader)
As someone that uses android primarily, I have personally found out that it doesn’t really matter. All that matters is that each phone is a portal to the same apps on either platforms. I do use an iPhone as well and it is my primary phone atm.
Great video. I use Android on my phone an Galaxy Tab. Yeah I'm that kind of guy. I do have respect for iOS though. I love your content Greg. Keep up the great work.
The IOS v Android rivalry of fanbases reminds me of Xbox v PlayStation rivalry of fanbases.
Except Xbox and PlayStation is basically just ‘you’re gay’ ‘no you’
Android is simple and has more apps
Iphone on the other hand, im sitting here deleting apps, photos and stuff like that, and yet my available storage is going down...IM DELETING TO FREE UP SPACE NOT TAKE UP MORE
@@c4m3oo no android has wayyy more apps you can download stuff from places like aurora store f droid and even get apks from websites. And there are lots of apps that just sadly aren't on ios like newpipe
Outstanding video! I'm an Android user and because of a lot of reasons that you posted in this video, I plan to stay an Android user for life! 👍
I can't believe that was an Ad, like I saw the comments and I was expecting to see the ad but I didn't notice it until the end of the Ad
Android will always have a special place in my heart bc i just cant afford apple lmao. Ive tried a number of android phones already and they just exceed expectations anyway esp with all the very recent and convenient upgrades going on around. Even with android, ive already done so many useful stuff daily. Contentment is the key lol
You know
Cheaper = Better
If you can, buy an iPhone on a phone plan and pay monthly over 2 years. That's how most people here in America at least pay for high end phones.

Android: Plug your phone to your computer and drag & drop any file to any directory.
iOS: No.
Btw, I own both Android and iOS devices. =)

Dang man, that transition to the sponsor was so smooth, i watched that entire thing without even knowing it was a sponsor!
My biggest praise of Android over iOS for years has been how things are shared between apps. I think iOS is catching up, but from what I've seen, it's nowhere near as universal.
*also we can get mods on games*
Lol
At the end of the day it’s a matter of personal preference
Lol it really is
Wish more people realized that
Thank you so much for such important information, and your knowledge of both brands are so helpful..All the Best!!
This is my first “up to date on the OS” phone, that will last me.
ios:sell your kidney to buy me
android:Save money or choose what you want take your time
Also don't take your time because they don't support the phones as long as Apple does
I’m switching to android bcz I can’t take being a prisoner in apple’s hand not able to mod PvZ 2/Minecraft/Roblox/BIA3
"Androids tend to have headphone jacks so if you still have old fashioned headphones you can dust them off."
Or something like
"Androids excel in giving buyers so many choices they almost don't know what to go with"
The reason I like android because you have more freedom to download stuff outside the playstore itself cuz there are amazing apps there that you cant download in ios
You mean cracked apps.
@@MatiMape yap and other apk apps
Yea and i can get hacks and mods for any game possible and crack them and get free stuff

@@CircHistory that didn’t even make sense
Apple is like consoles, Android is like PC.
I find the analogy quite fitting.
But with consoles, what you get is pretty much what you get.

after using iphone, my biggest problems are not having utorrent, nintendo emulators, call recorder, no back button, screen record does not record audio, more expensive apps compared to android, some apps need to be paid that is complety free in android, etc.
hey if you didnt hear the news, the apple app store has emulators now (because of a lawsuit from the EU), and also, you can screen record with your microphone on, you just need to enable it

As an iPhone user I do consider android to be superior in other circumstances, but also respect android for having broader choices of hardware
Android = freedom... Well.. Mostly... Try to uninstall all those default apps xD Something iOS can do, btw. Just a little thing, but pretty important for me xD
You can now delete even more default apps in iOS 14
One line what he said that android users want what they feel necessary to them with their own hardware rather than a company to decide what is best for you. Nailed it.
Definitely pros and cons to the matter.
Android isn't one Android has a thousand faces and each one can adapt to each user.
