My boyfriend and I of 4 years are going through a very hard time. We’re both nearing a falling out if not already and I can’t reverse all the damage we both have caused towards one another… at the moment he’s filled with even more rage and impatience. Not to mention his grace is not easy to gain, once he’s been hurt, angry and impatient… I pray and cry to Jesus cause I know only He can help us… I just hope and pray that he can forgive me, have more patience and fill his anger with love through Jesus Christ. Everyday it’s a journey and a struggle to overcome my own issues… but sometimes I wish my partner would overcome all his inner anger.. and the way he expresses his anger towards me.
I'm so sorry it took me ages to reply! My only "worldly" wisdom here is to encourage you to think about what will happen if your boyfriend doesn't change. The main dating advice I adhered to was never to date someone in the hopes that they will change one day. We love and accept people as they are and in a long term relationship we need to be content with them remaining the same. It's certainly our job to show Christ to people and to pray they'll come to know Him, but dating and evangelism are two different things! Praying for your peace and the Lord's will in this situation 🙏🕊️
