WATER: FRIEND OR ENEMY is an educational film made by Walt Disney Studios and produced under the auspices of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs (CIAA). The film shows the benefits derived from water, cautions against polluting drinking water, and teaches how to avoid cholera, typhoid, and dysentery. It also shows the best way to build a well.
This film is hard to find. It has fallen into the public domain before the 95 year limit, that's how it should be. It's not available on Disney+. The Walt Disney Company (along with other corporations) lobbied Congress to get U.S. copyright laws extended by 20 years, twice! Because of that, it allowed published works to be under copyright for almost a century and corporations to squeeze every last ounce of profit from them even long after the profitability has past. It keeps people from enjoying art, which is the purpose of art.
