- ¨The Future is Wild¨ is a series aired in 2002 that explored how life could evolve in 3 different time scales: 5, 100, and 200 million years into the future. presenting very different possible scenarios.
This is the third video I made on the topic, reimagining the creatures of the original show, but in this one I'm mostly including new creatures imagined by the audience of the channel, to expand the universe of ¨The FUTURE is WILD¨series .

YESS!! That was the intention, mainly because of how rare the Stegosaur bodyplan is (Literally one of a kind).
@@darkonyx6995I see in some alternate yesterdays that some ground sloths like megalonychids with the ossified pelt to evolve pangolin like plates as stegosaur but not a full shielded back more from the same visual reasons
Maybe some regulation in heat like elephant ears with their xenarthran metabolism
i have ideas for future is wild fan creatures: Fishing Cobra (descendent of king cobra, Antarctica, 100 million years), Floating Flish (descendent of flying fish, New Pangea, 200 million years), Killodillo (descendent of 9 banded armadillo, Northern Mexico, 5 million years), Himalayan Mountain Rabbit (descendent of Asian rabbit, Himalayan mountains, 5 million), Madagascar Dragon (descendent of chameleon, East African island, 10 million years), Neomosaurus (descendent of saltwater crocodile, Worldwide oceans, 100 million years), Sealsaurus (descendent of leopard seal, Worldwide oceans, 5 million years), Razor Tooth Mole Rat (descendent of naked mole rat, Sahara desert, 20 million years), Saber Tooth Baboon (descendent of Guinea baboon, Northern Africa, 5 million years), Snakopede (descendent of common centipede, New Pangea deserts, 200 million years), Cave Star (descender of starfish, New Pangea large cave, 200 million years), Flesh Pecker (descendent of red bellied woodpecker, Americas, 5 million years), Jumpgill (descendent of mudskipper, England small island, 100 million years) and Ratosaurus (descendent of black rat, Africa and Euroasia, 50 million years)
2:50 It's so weird how The Future Is Wild talked all about petrel evolution but ignored penguin evolution. They're both found in antarctica and would both coexist on a warm version of the continent.
To be fair, penguins are a lot more specialized than petrels. I could see them evolving to kiwi-like niches or potentially burrowing forms though.
That creature looks Exactly Like a Dino Kiruss 😅 or member of its family
@@paleopalI think that penguins, as the dominant Antarctica vertebrate, would first specialize on variety of terrestrial niches, while petrels could be predators that hunt them, like haast eagles and terror birds.

I love how some of these are just recreations of dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs were very successful for a long time, it wouldn't be surprising if more species ended up developing similar body plans
@@Z-Bronzeexactly, the same way sharks, dolphins and ichtyosaurs all possess the same body plan despite being not very closely related to each other. I’d love to see a mammalian theropod

@@HindurashtraNayak Why not? Gigantoraptor grew to a similar size and Deinocheirus could grow larger than that and they are both thought to have been omnivorous. In fact this creature looks a lot like a mammalian version of Deinocheirus.

There's not that much of the creatures in the hollow earth, so why not the entire monsterverse?

maybe skull island first, then waiting for another MV project to be released, which is probably relatively very soon, then do a hollow earth one, and then do one for the titans.
Actually, there is quite a lot of fauna. There are: The hellhawk, the parrot frog, the shinimah, the foetodon (Doug), the murder fish, the warbat, the skullcrawler, the tiamat, the drownviper, the camazotz, the ion dragon, the frost vark, the muto, the endopede, the brambleboar, the unnamed grub specimen that the hellhawk was eating in GxK, the mothra, the behemoth, the wartdog, the arachno-claw (Rock critter), the kong, the skar king, the shimo, the gojira (Godzilla) and the mega gojira specimen (The confirmed skull with Kong's axe planted in GvK)

Dinosaurs diversified into very different and successful body plans, so it makes a lot of sense that animals would suffer some convergent evolution if you think about it

I remember my fan creation to this series and it's so cool to see it being implemented. My original lore about this species was:
This cephalopod living in extremely sparse cold waters, which was mentioned, while it also posseses high intelligence, as it is for squids and octopus, convergently filling niche similar to Killer whales, that's based on the part of the name "ORCINOteuthis" reffering to Orca. It's ancestor is ment to be Bobtail Squid which some species do live in arctic waters. All of this is just additional info about my concept that was used. I sure am more than happy with Mario's final execution, thank you so much!

2:04 now that seem ironic given that South America had large herbivories mammals but lacked placental carnivores until a few million years ago due to its isolation from the other continents.
He is my creature hehe in fact because in the documentary it was said that the water level rose caused 100 m and some Marian iguanas to land and who knows maybe in the future if Mario does a quarter we will see his relative that they decided adapt to living at sea.
I think it would be really cool if you did an updated version of the New Dinosaurs from Dougal Dixon

Definitely an interesting take on speculative future lifeforms, though I see it as unlikely for something like geese to evolve more primitive like features like a lengthy tail within the span of only five million years. Also, I see it as odd to have something like marine iguanas adopt a build more suitable for living on land than evolving features that would further aid in a more aquatic lifestyle, but still interesting nonetheless.
The geese might either start spending more time in the water or they would grow massive.

@@Tyrantlizard hello Well, there may be a member of the species adapted for land and another adapted for water as two different evolutionary paths.
@Tyrantlizard Also, some things that were once aquatic have returned to the land at times in the past. It just all depends on the circumstances. Maybe the marine iguana in this possible future found itself in a situation where there were other animals already filling the spot of being aquatic hunters, and so the marine iguana adapted out of being aquatic and found a good little niche somewhere of being a small herbivore and became so successful to where it managed to grow to bigger sizes due to less competition in the place it was at, once again, depending on the circumstances.

Here is some ideas for the next part (if there will be one)
1. 20 million years in the future, Pine Martens have become ground predators that can stand on their hind legs to see prey
2. 200 million years in the future, Starfish move into the European forests and become plant like, hanging to trees waiting for insects to try to polonate it just so it can eat it
3. 90 million years in the future, Tegu Lizards become grazing omnivores on the plains of North and South America

Clavahumus:
A species of bat evolved to fill in an ostrich niche. It can still fly, only standing 5 feet tall. They live in the savanna during wet seasons, then migrate to more tropical regions during dry seasons. Their main food source is small rodents and lizards, they may sometimes eat fruit. Their ancestors are the fruit bats. They live in Western Africa, 25 million years from now.
I don't know if it's too late to make a suggestion for a next video, but my creature would be like this:
After the extinction of large carnivorous felines in the Americas, canids took over this niche, one of them was the giant maned wolf, it developed longer hind legs Which allow him to make bigger jumps, and also allow him to temporarily stand on two legs to be able to see over the tall grass, on four legs he is around 130cm Or 4.5 feet, On two legs it would be 200cm or 6.5 feet, And that's it.

i had some idea for this (not a request btw): goldarach
it's a large megarachne-like ricinuleid called the "goldarach". its golden skin protects it from ultraviolet light. tetrabytes farms it, keeping it safe, and feeding it in food in return. it feeds on garden worm appendages. they, along with the other arachnids surviving (except for scorpions, tailless whip scorpions, and harvesters). most other groups of arthropods, such as myriapods.

Padezco de autismo. Tengo un mundo imaginario donde creo versiones evolucionadas de los animales y plantas que conozco, lo cree hace años. Está inspirado en PvZ2. Desde 2023 para acá lo estuve orientando más a la evolución especulativa, y estoy usando a Futuro Salvaje como una tipo guía. Estas nuevas creaciones me ayudan. Gracias.
