That was my initial thought, but it could also easily backfire. If Peter can convince the rest that it’s the 2 imposters vouching for each other (which is exactly what it would have been) then it’s game over.
That's true, but they lost in the end anyways due to Sykkuno being voted out. Up until that point, no suspicion was thrown on both Leslie and Sykkuno so framing Peter would have been a valid shot. They could have tossed both Sykkuno and Peter out, which would have helped the imposters anyways.

I’ve actually seen “the strat” done before. I was playing with some of my friends and they lined up in one spot near coms on the lava map. I was already dead following the imposter. And the imposter ran up to the 2 of them and killed one of them, thinking it was 1 person and got caught.
And then no one else sees it, the imposter blames the reporter, and the reporter gets ejected for self-reporting. It's no different than just killing someone visibly near another person. Who cares what one person sees, it's still he-said-she-said
Andy Malik yeah, but sometimes when an imposter doesn’t expect it, they get caught off guard. Like in the game I played. sure it can go wrong but if you’re willing to trade your life for the imposter’s then it’ll have a better chance at working within the next few meetings.

This is a he-said-she-said and it depends on how good the reporter is, the imposter is, and who the other players will listen to.

But like I said in my last comment, if the innocent people say trade and the other crew mates stick by it, it’s better to trade your life for one of the imposters then to not trade at all. Like every strat in the game though, nothing is 100% and it definitely depends on who you play with. The best thing you can do is learn new strats all the time and change up your play style frequently if you want to be a sweaty among us player.

Yes, a crewmate who can sacrifice themself for an imposter is a good "trade."
But "the strat" isn't a trade. It's just two crewmates going AFK not doing tasks and eventually one of them will die and the other will get voted off because they "self-reported"
So anyone who does the "strat" are just crewmates intentionally trying to lose (by not doing tasks) or are imposters in disguise; and it's better for crewmates to just vote one of them off immediately so tasks can be done.
Yea, new and unique strategies are useful; mix it up. For sure. But don't do "the strat" because that's giving the win to Imposters every time.
