“My sole interest is discovering the truth” “I DECIDE THE TRUTH” That really shows his slight progression into madness really well. Maybe, at one point, he did want the truth, but now he is the one setting the questions out to be truthed, if you get what I mean
It fits Loki. Yes he did do a lot of 'hero' stuff in many of the old Norse Myths... he also set up 99% of them. "I endangered all of you, but i rescued you so I am the hero."
In my own perception, along with the fact that Loki Akechi joins the party, he gets sick of how messed up the world is ("we live in a society" and all that). He can't find or enforce the "truth" or "justice" because of how corrupt the world is, so he joins the Thieves in hopes of making his/their own truth/justice by taking down those in power who're corrupt. And of course, now that he isn't under the guise of a goody-two-shoes "hero of justice" with that ridiculous outfit, he's free to let his true crazy self out. That's how I see it, at least.
@@UltimaPhoenix-dx3kt its also a reflection of the dreamworld 3rd semester, with his role being saving Ren from giving up his sense of justice. Because of the dreamworld, all of his friends are happy except Ren under a lie.

IDK dude, he is an asshole and killed a bunch of people important to other Thieves. Forgiving him and allowing to be back in the team while putting all the blame on Shido is somehow lame. I think him dying in the original game was a perfect outcome, after all, MC isn't supposed to kill anyone, but Akechi deserved to die and his heart wouldn't possibly be stolen.
Konstantin Udachlivii Yeah. It was needed for he story, even if using Aketchi was kinda fun. Yeah, you can use him more in Royal, but the overall story suffers because of it. Aketchi shouldn’t be redeemed. That being said, I’m pretty sure the xtra stuff in Royal isn’t considered canon and only the stuff that happens in the vanilla games main story is.
@@greenlitlleman Well, to be honest, Akechi does seem to have changed at least a bit after you beat him, and letting him join them is not necessarily forgiving him (just like Haru said, she won't forgive him), and I don't think that he deserved to die, he deserved a punish, but not death in my opinion. It's true that Shiho is to blame, but Akechi is too.

After you beat him he seem to change at least a bit because of wanting the Phantom Thieves to change Shiho's heart. Royal is (for good and bad) not canon, Atlus confirmed that Scramble is a sequel of the Original P5, which means that Royal is not canon.
Apparently, it’s because this is after Yaldabaoth, and the party is fully aware he was the black mask, but they need him to take out the new antagonist guy, so he has no reason to not be in his black mask form.
Goddammit the lavenza and twins one gave me PTSD of trying to beat the twins alone on merciless with 2 personas, and at the lowest level I could get which was lvl 7. let me tell you it all came down to random chance in the end

@@vulx Huh that's a pretty weird interaction, but makes sense I guess. I just find it weird that Akechi is the only character to go through huge aesthetic changes, yet still register as one character. I thought Prince Crow and Black Crow would be coded as two separate characters.
All I got from this is apparentky now everyone learns a move specifically to down opponents, and apparently you can now perform a Heat Riser on all allies at once without having to be surrounded and using Thermopholae. In other words, everyone got buffed in Royal. Dunno whether to be worried or not that your party got buffed.
Actually the downing move is from an ishi you get at the last palace, and the AOE Heat Riser is supposed to be Yusuke's unique 3rd tier skill, idk why Joker had it here. Might be from a DLC persona
@@alzhanvoid pretty much, yeah. They also redesigned all of the bosses, and now you can get a baton pass and a 1 More during a bunch of boss battles, and it honestly makes Yusuke's Rising Slash and Deadly Fury so much more useful

Apparently, it’s because this is after Yaldabaoth, and the party is fully aware he was the black mask, but they need him to take out the new antagonist guy, so he has no reason to not be in his black mask form.

That's in saes palace so he's still crow and he hasn't shown loki yet

@@vulx Huh that's a pretty weird interaction, but makes sense I guess. I just find it weird that Akechi is the only character to go through huge aesthetic changes, yet still register as one character. I thought Prince Crow and Black Crow would be coded as two separate characters.

All I got from this is apparentky now everyone learns a move specifically to down opponents, and apparently you can now perform a Heat Riser on all allies at once without having to be surrounded and using Thermopholae. In other words, everyone got buffed in Royal.
Dunno whether to be worried or not that your party got buffed.
Actually the downing move is from an ishi you get at the last palace, and the AOE Heat Riser is supposed to be Yusuke's unique 3rd tier skill, idk why Joker had it here. Might be from a DLC persona

@@alzhanvoid pretty much, yeah. They also redesigned all of the bosses, and now you can get a baton pass and a 1 More during a bunch of boss battles, and it honestly makes Yusuke's Rising Slash and Deadly Fury so much more useful
