Awesome! These videos make me happy, because the tractors I learned to drive were 2 1155's, a 1080, and an 1805 before Dad bought a 2745. Great memories
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 I still have a 1080 and a 1085 but have slowly worked up to the 8600 and 8700 series. We love them! I really enjoy watching you do your thing, keep them coming my friend! Cheers from Idaho

I was impressed with the yellow slide contraption you used to put it all together.Oh by the way, you must know a lot about them tractor things, cause i see you fixing them all the time..
Thanks for sharing, great video, I've replaced a bottom trans gear, tooth missing on my 1080,new pto clutch on my 1100 and now I have to put a new pto clutch in my 180 thanks again for the knowledge
I just bought a MF 1155 as a winter project. It’s not in as good of shape as yours and the motors locked up. I’m making progress on it. I like watching your videos for helpful information. I’m 15 and it’s a pretty good project but I am looking forward to getting it running. I’m also looking forward to seeing the next video! Keep up the great work

@@jtsbarnngrill6873 No knock on wood. I had to replace a shaft o-ring on the front radial pump and found the damper pulley starting to go south at that time and replaced it. I’m no mechanic like you and had a great mechanic do all of that.
Thanks again for a great video. JT. Couple of days worth of working on it in 12 minutes is a nice. Thanks I appreciate your videos the most on UA-cam. No fancy shops and high priced tools-just getting it done the old school normal way!!!
Some tips for you to make things easy when lifting heavy parts on your own, the simple answer is set studs of the same thread, i.e. extra long bolts with heads sawn off and tapered, flywheel for an example, thread 2 set studs in opposite each other, same applys to the clutch, another place that it can help immensly is put one in each side of clutch housing when joining up after splitting, they save a lot of time and your back bone...p.s......2 flats filed off at the pointy end of set stud can help in removing studs sometimes with a pair of mole grips.
Right on! That flywheel was challenging mostly because it sets back in the housing so far, but a couple studs in the crankshaft would definitely have made it easier. Thank you!
The only thing different out of done I would’ve rebuilt the clutch because after going through all this and you get a couple hours on it and the clutch goes out your back. Pulling it apart again merry Christmas Grayson piece.
Well, I was 6 to 1 half a dozen the other on the clutch. I know the previous owner of the machine, before she found her way to the junk yard, he never had any issue with that. Just the hydraulics. There was lots of friction material on the disk and no gouges in it so I figured I’d save the 500 and just run with itt
Hey JT.Just found your channel and signed up. Fot my first question. Cracking a tractor that size apart is not for the weak of heart. Where did you get your experience to work on these large machines?
I’ve been doing this stuff for a long time, mostly just hands on, helping others. I just go slow, think everything over twice and try to keep myself safe 😉
@@MitzvosGolem1 yes l understand but splined drives in general need lubricating otherwise the splines chew each other away with the metal to metal friction eventually, your concern regarding the clutch disc is important too
Clutch had plenty of material on it. No grooves, had it been bad I’d definitely have changed it. Have to be frugal as to where I drop big $$ on that thing until I have a season to run it.
Nice work bud! i really had thought these weren't that BIG of a tractor. yeah... i was wrong. That thing is super tall! Where are ya getting parts? asking for a friend with a 1150 v8.
You may have already talked about it in another video and I haven’t found it yet but where would a guy find one of those handy dandy splitting stand track thingy. That thing looks much more better and a little bit safer than how I do it lol
Lots of hard work that doesn't show up in a 12 minute video. It is a good feeling when it buckles back together.
Very true.

Hopefully it plays nice and the hydraulic system works. Also be nice if the engine didn’t drink water. Fingers crossed.

Splines running dry often wear out
Very wise comment on the dry splines, they will last many times longer if greased
@@roblonsdale8927 near clutch is they issue . I put moly heavy lubricant sparingly

👍
I could go for a COLD 🍻
Where did you get those splitting rails and jacks?
Climb a mountain for me JT 👍
Why didn't you put a new clutch in it since you had it split a part???????
There wasn’t anything wrong with that one. Wasn’t burned, didn’t slip, wasn’t wore… that was a year ago and she pulls like a champ
Question,,,were the hydraulics on the MF a weak point?
You could be Ethan's(oliver66farmboy's)
brother or uncle, lol. Mannerisms and such are almost identical.
Interesting.
Question is a 1080 put together the same way? I recently had the opportunity to purchase a 1080 with hydraulic issues... almost would have bought it
similar, they part the same way, but the hydraulic systems are different
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 okay.... this tractor had no hydraulics working and he said the multipower was stuck in high it was a 1080.
Where did you order your parts from ??? TY,,,,,,,,
Those were all from eBay, I believe all states at parts
Have one for me!
What size are thoses rear tires?
If it ain't IH red it ain't IH
?? Ya don’t say….
That's a heavy tractor spec says 15,900lb
She’s all of that, plus the 23.1’s on the back are loaded. I can’t even guess what she is total weight lol
I realize this 5 months late but I always replace rear main seal when I split a tractor or clutch in a truck.
