I agree that the coach needs to be given what he needs for his system. However, I also feel he's got to earn it. A good manager brings the best out of whatever he has. If the owners know he can do that, only then can they trust him to build a team of his own isn't it? His management hasn't been great of late, which is explained by the results. When KDH arrived, it was suggested that we bought him because he understood Maresca's system having played for him at Leicester the previous season. I never really bought into that but there you go. Now it's all over for him at Chels, I'd like to see him get a move back to Leicester to get his career back on track. Failing that, anywhere would do as long as he gets proper game time in his proper position so that we can see how good he is. Obviously he's not the first and won't be the last player to be mugged off by Chelsea's PR - after all that's how a 'selling club' makes its money. But what makes it all the worse is that Clearlake use Roman's success as a carrot to lure these kids to Chelsea whilst no doubt promising them the world and then sell them on 2-3 years later in a deal that is generally a downgrade for the player. That might be 'just business' to some people but to me it's effin deplorable.
