To see your dad and uncle give you the thumbs up must be a step towards approval from the gods. I think you continue to improve both with video and content, and skill levels are now climbing to new levels. Well done that man!
Your videos remind me of the Only Fools and Horses gag where he got an award for never replacing his broom, but then he says he has replace the brush and handle multiple times.
😮amazing work as always, Ryan 😊 your videos are getting better and better with all the commentary and informative information ,woven into unbelievable fabrication skills !! Out of this world ... cosmic Cosmo 😅 can't wait for the next video, mate 😊 cheers from Tim the Taffy living in the sunshine coast Australia
truly amazing work, I see you got the Nod from Uncle Richard, thats high praise indeed, he is a very skilled craftsman, one of those guys that stays in the background , and cracks on with the work to a high standard
It's such a pleasure to see you starting from a rusty nothing as a template building such complicate panels. Great job, I love it. Best regards from Germany
The Cosmo is an extremely elegant design but very intricately built too. I think carbodies built of so many individual parts are very rare... Seems like they built an ordinary car, and then wrapped it in another one to make it a Cosmo.
I'm curious why you don't ever use a spot welder? I understand that it's not possible with most of the welding you are doing, but there are also parts where you could easily spot-weld rather than plug-weld
I love my rotaries, good to see something as rare as this being restored. In my youth I had a RX3, RX4 and powered my baja bug with a twin distributor 12a (because there were so many lying around, everyone wanted a 13B).
Next level craftsmanship! With all the time spent drilling and plug welding, any thoughts about getting a spot welder to help some of the panel bonding process along?
If it wasn´t this rare it would never be worth restoring! But than i cant enjoy your Clips sooo keep on DOING....you are the reason i startet to restor a Porsch 914. But from Miami importet sooo not that much rust
I showed a few of these videos to an old friend, a retired time served coachbuilder, car and coach bodies, specials and racing cars , he watched them, and his comment, that young fella knows what he is doing, a grand job
This is like watching a slow motion magic show. Thank you.
By far, one of the best car restoration channels on UA-cam 👍🏼👍🏼
Excellent content
I suppose Mazda will want it for their collection when you finish. Your craftsmanship is second to only Steve
Never thought that such disater could be restored...😊
I like your fantastic Work - and the Manta A in the background.
The Cosmo isn't the first car on my wish list, but it's my favorite rebuild to watch.
Long live the Cosmo !
Cosmic Masterpiece!
Love it

@15:00 "Look at all of this space we have for activities!" I laughed really hard at Step Brothers reference, perfect use for it!
Un travail vraiment extraordinaire vous êtes un magicien de la tôle BRAVO !🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That's a lot of splendiferousness.
Is there anyone from Mazda watching this ? The Cosmo is a cute little thing - I never knew they even existed - great that YCR is preserving this one !
Great job.
15:00 "look at all the space we've got for activities" lol
Going to be interesting to see how the rusted out double curvature front wings are recreated?
Legendary work my brother keep saving them 👏👏👏👏
Brilliant thanks 👍
Your videos remind me of the Only Fools and Horses gag where he got an award for never replacing his broom, but then he says he has replace the brush and handle multiple times.
Absolute craftsman! And Yorkshire too! Double win!
Their is more steel in the Cosmo now than when it left the factory.
Magnificent
I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!! The YCR dream team had their hands on that Cosmo!! You made massive strides forward, and we have to wait!! 😖❤
Bravo! Nice 👏
I wonder how much of the cars original body is left after it gets done. So much metalwork on it. Great work sir! Love your craftsmanship and video.
Not much left haha. And thank you so much!
Theseus of car builds
Best car restoration channel on youtube.
Coming on nicely that car, your a very skilled metal magician
That panel is astonishing, Ryan. Up there with that complex chassis rail on Matt Armstrong’s BMW.
😮amazing work as always, Ryan 😊 your videos are getting better and better with all the commentary and informative information ,woven into unbelievable fabrication skills !! Like a sculptor mate.
Proper job, Yorkshire style 👍
The only thing I can say is "WOW!"
I like how the inner panel says 'Hi' 😅
Another great video packed full of interesting and informative footage - hats off to your amazing skills
Thank you Colin!
Beautiful work as always 👍🏻🇬🇧

There are rumours going around that you have been working several straight 36 hour stints to get this car completed for a show?
Maybe 😅🤣
15:39 to 15:44 best part of this vid
Nice 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Superb! Do the louvers serve any purpose other than cosmetic rust producers? False louvers might have been a better choice by the Cosmo’s design team.
Great work, it's really starting to take shape again.

I'm enjoying these videos so much. It is calming and satisfying, and I can't wait for the next one!
Great work Ryan. You're ploughing through it lad! Regards from Ireland
Impressive: it looked like an impossible mission, but it's starting to look feasible. What a fantastic looking car. Best wishes.
I almost bought one 7 years ago - I wish you were on the West Coast in the US so I could at least ride in it once. Sigh.
Fantastic job. Great cinema!
Pro job done right there. Thanx guys !
Wait, do those vents have no other function and are simply a style choice to open up the inner fender to the elements?
I'm curious why you don't ever use a spot welder? I understand that it's not possible with most of the welding you are doing, but there are also parts where you could easily spot-weld rather than plug-weld
If those louvres let all the water in, would it be appropriate to form a box and weld it behind the louvres with a drain pipe to take tje water away?
I wonder of the grills could have been redesigned to limit the amount of water going through them
Bro great work, but what happened to Mat's BMW
808❤
That's mine 😍
your doing a great job young en
Great progress! You’ve been a big inspiration behind the restoration work I’ve been doing on my own channel this year.
I love my rotaries, good to see something as rare as this being restored. In my youth I had a RX3, RX4 and powered my baja bug with a twin distributor 12a (because there were so many lying around, everyone wanted a 13B).
Amazing work. BUT...how much does it all cost ?
I couldn’t make Proper dust for the floor of that shop.
Beautiful work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤
Quite amazing, Ryan! ❤Greetings from South Africa! 😊
I noticed you used Dinitrol 900 & 1000, whats the purpose and the difference between the two?
What ever happened to the Matt Armstrong BM? Been nothing on that for ages....
like a glove that boss like a glove top job 👍
Awsomnes, majestically. 😂
It'd be relatively easy to 3d print a ducting that sits behind the vent/rain intake that diverts water directly out the bottom
👏👌👍
Anyone else wanted to see him hand make those louvres ?
Don't tempt me
@@yorkshirecarrestoration aye a nice Flypress would be a good addition to the workshop, and perhaps a Lazer welder !!
Yeah, me. Probably notevn too😅
Why dont you blank the back of the louvre off so they are still there but water can't get in?
if there is a known fix for a design fault, do you guys use the fix on the fault? when you do the restoration.
Next level craftsmanship! With all the time spent drilling and plug welding, any thoughts about getting a spot welder to help some of the panel bonding process along?
It’s a lot of work. But it’s going to look so great!
Another great video 👍 ... but 3. weeks wait 😭
If it wasn´t this rare it would never be worth restoring! But than i cant enjoy your Clips sooo keep on DOING....you are the reason i startet to restor a Porsch 914. But from Miami importet sooo not that much rust
You should re name this to theseus. Theres basically nothing original left..
I don’t know why you just don’t drive over to Mazda parts dept. and get replacement panels!? 🤦🏻♂️😜😂
probably can't be found/aren't manufactured anymore
@ sarcasm! You couldn’t get those panels if the world depended on it
@@phillevin6651 damn it! should've thought it was sarcasm lmfao
Very low quality work!
What?
I showed a few of these videos to an old friend, a retired time served coachbuilder, car and coach bodies, specials and racing cars , he watched them, and his comment, that young fella knows what he is doing, a grand job
@@russthebikergood to hear that. I know nothing but I have exactly the same reaction of awe at the care and skill on show.
@@phillevin6651I can only assume that your comment is very tongue in cheek and like the rest of us you are in awe of this mans skill.
A bit like your comment!
Fantastic work , amazing skills
