Wellstar Foundation Healthcare Innovation Series: Improving Women's Health

Did you know that maternal mortality rates increased 20% from 2018-2020, yet 89% of these deaths are preventable? There have been many discussions about the maternal mortality epidemic facing Georgia, and at Wellstar, we believe it is time to turn our talk into action. On May 14th, the Wellstar Foundation’s Healthcare Innovation Series, facilitated by Monica Kaufman Pearson, brought together clinical experts, elected officials, thought leaders, corporate and community partners to participate in solution-oriented discussions about the critical health needs of women across Georgia.
