I was wondering why I would need a 830 hp tractor in my life.
    This answers that question.

At the end of the day, it is still efficiency and economy of scale that determines purchases. Do you want to fly across the country in a piper cub, or a 767? Do you want to farm with Dobbin hooked to a one-bottom plow, or do you want to get the field seeded before the rain? The small farmer can't make it producing a few bushels with five cents profit per bushel in a bad market year, but the real big farmer might still make a survivable profit farming big in a bad market year. Wish you hadn't edited out the part where he was going to tell how to get it unstuck.

I’m guessing that drill is well acquainted with gravity.

So you can sell 80’ of this drill if you want to, and still have 20’ left for yourself. Just perfect for that semi retired farmer! Also, when the bank comes to repossess the drill, they can just take the half that you haven’t paid for yet,and you’ll still have enough drill left to put your next crop in. It’s a win/win! Then, after your next crop, you can buy back the other half.
But that’s exactly right, the potential pool of buyers for a 100’ drill has to be just incredible small. It makes you wonder if it’s even profitable to make such a niche product. I suppose that’s one reason why they have to be so freaking expensive.

Well said I think they want to be the top dog high jumper at the fire hydrant....With the 20' left for yourself you could now throw in the in the tall grass 20 years plus ago 80' field markers laying around cause the guy wanting the drill cannot afford the 20 thousand plus many dollars GPS upgrade and the fuel for the recently upsized 600 HP tractor to pull it with the 2024 selling price of Wheat. Barley, Oats and Canola to pay for it!! There is no "good" drill in a size maybe "SPECIAL ORDER??" made for today's medium sized farm where they run one Combine as the large farms large drills run 0ne or Two large drills with long hour seeding days but 3 to 6 to whatever combines!!

How do you move a 19’ tall piece of equipment dome the public road.. if I tried that in my area I’d take down cable lines and just about every power feed line going to homes.. Apparently the people buying on of those 100’ drills actually do live in the middle of nowhere..😅 final thoughts: this was the least informative video I’ve seen produced in quite some time.. basically talking points with no real context of challenge over many of the shortcomings those drills are known to have.. This should have been Mike Mitchell interviewing him 😅
