Running a canadian carrier is a really tough market right now, i find it very hard to find reliable brokers that have decent rates, I got rid of the load board as it was over 500 a month for maybe 2 or 3 loads out of the lane I ran. I have loads to my lane but always struggle getting back from there. I run the most top notch equipment possible, it's older but I constantly am greasing and on top of maintenence. It is unfortunate to get my rates cut over and over again by other carriers that end up flopping the load in the ditch or blowing out tires and tearing up their trailer floor etc damaging the freight. I am committed to making it through this season however, trucking is like rough waters, lots of waves always up and down.
A great learning session. Its not just getting loads, its making the overall logistics system work effectively. Not all drivers are as reliable as Sergei.
Sergei: What types of cameras did you use to verify securement andnsafe unloading by customers so they do not assign liability for damage to the freight? Thanks in advance!
