Thanks for the video. I had the vinegar smell and the dealer was “willing” to change it for me for $80.00. I saved myself $55.00 and did it myself following your video.
big chunk of wood trim in the way of where the 7mm bolts are on ours. looks like previous owners went at it with a flat head screwdriver lol, any ideas how it pops off?
It’s not easy but you’re able to do it without removing any bolts or that upper piece I just changed mine it took a bit of finagling to get the cover back on but it’s possible.
So I cracked the edge of the wood trim in my Platinum when attempting to remove it, despite using a trim removal tool. I aborted removal and switched to changing the filter without removing anything based on your comment and it worked but yes was difficult.
So how is the dealer supposed to stay in business if they don't rip people off? BTW all horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow.

Thank you this may be the best one I’ve seen so far.
Placement was not one of Ford's better ideas. Thanks for the video!
Dealer wants 87.00, I think it's worth a shot!!
As you can see it takes time. The filter alone is almost $40 Canadian. Their price is good considering the work that is involved.
It is really simple.
Thank you! Thought Ford was laughing at me when I started changing this thing.
Thank you hope this helps everyone.
Any chance a clogged cab filter will effect the heater? I basically have no heat right now, 2019 model. Trying to troubleshoot now...
Thanks for the video. That is easy. I got a 7 mm socket in my kit.
The truck I’m working on has a piece of trim where the 7 mm bolts are at and it’s not easy to takeoff
Thanks! This video really helped.
Done! Thank you for such a great video!
Thanks for the guidance. Spot on.
Great video! Thank you!

Good job
They make it kinda difficult to change your cabin lol
Why does it say Super Easy?
I wonder if it's as easy on a gmc. Good video
Easier

Nope, no 7mm screws on this ford 😢
THANK YOU
