This video was super helpful, clear filming angles and easy to understand instructions. Quality instructional material like this has convinced me that these are the nippers I will purchase as I start my own hoof maintenance work. One question: you give separate instructions about where to begin your cut into the hoof wall for horses with thin soles, and then for horses with long toes and thick soles. My horse has thin soles and his toes get long very easily. Would it be better to cut closer to the white line to control the long toes until they get under control for good, or would it be better to trim with consideration for the thin sole? (I completely accept that you may not want to answer this question without seeing the hooves but thought it was worth asking :-)
