I thought about how I've judged Black people for the way they dress, thought about the darkness in my heart, and shed tears. Never heard this until today. A reminder that in our turbulent world, peace for our soul is available. God wants us to participate in what He is doing, but often it means we must take a 'time out' and just be still before Him.
This is a truly moving song and was made for these guys to sing , if you havnt already seen these guys in concert , GO, they are Great, and we got to meet them afterwards and they are as down to earth as you or me very nice guys , Mike Buble was good that night and the best part of the night was finding out about these guys , I cant believe how good they are.

I first heard this song during the funeral service for one of my childhood friends. She was 28 years old and had been diagnosed with leukemia right after giving birth to twins, one boy and one girl. The twins were 12 months old, give or take a few days, when their mother passed away. It was sung a cappella by a group of approximately 25-30 people. I was so moved by the song. Its melody and chord changes were unlike any other hymn I had heard before, and I had heard a lot. In the days that followed, I found this song in the hymnal at my house and began playing it on the piano. That was in 1998 and I still love to play it.
Shirley smith I believe that too. It's the universal language. How could He not love music? I grew up going to a church where the music was all a cappella. Since then I've changed churches and the one I attend now uses organ and piano. There's a choir too. It adds so much. Don't get me wrong. When I was still attending the other church there were certain songs that always moved me even though there weren't any instruments used.

The original Finnish lyrics evoked high nationalistic pride and extreme patriotism to the Finns to the extent that when Russia invaded and annexed Finland, the song was played and aired nationwide on the radio causing all the Finns to go out to the streets to defend their homeland! @BUDDYGG8066 N7 does a great job with the songs that have a faster tempo. The real genius comes out during songs like Be Still, My Soul, which have a slow tempo. My brain likes to linger longer on those lush harmonies.
It's not wise to assure someone of something you know little of. Beethoven- 18th century musician of all time. His music still lives on today (that's more than 200 yrs since) and is very common, either played or listened to. In fact just over a half century ago (1949) an Austrian film "Eroica" was released depicting Beethoven's life, the very country you are based from. And this is just one example. Even modern day artist today listen to music of artist generations before them for inspiration.

I try and watch this often. During these very difficult times, I need a reminder to be still. I pray your child's seizures calm and can be overcome.
