It was definitely an oversight from Rockstar to not let you study an animal if it has aggro'd onto you. Best option I've found is to ride away from them until they lose interest, then slowly make your way back to them, tracking them with Eagle Eye. Then you can study them with the binoculars from a safe distance.
It’s so annoying. Happened so many times. Also when I’m in combat the name of the animal I’m targeting was blank many times. Very strange
It took so many tries to study the panther. I had crafted and bought all the accessories which required a 3 star panther and still hadn't studied and tracked it
My idea of shooting it with a poison arrow works. It takes the Aggro off of you. Sometimes it just works naturally too. Seems to be broken
If you hit a non lethal spot of the animal with a poison arrow it will let you study the animal again
 that's what I ended up doing in the video. Works very well

The Arthur's grave scene after 100% completion is the same place it always is after chapter 6. Maybe the sunrise scenery and the weather confused you on that
Definitely must have been confused
This is my personal opinion but I’d save Arthur’s grave until after you complete 100% since you’re basically teleported there when you get 100%.

I wish for the trophies, the online mode wasn’t included. Mostly because not everyone will use the online mode (and with all the trouble people have had even playing-between the bans and the various other issues) it makes achieving the 100% more difficult then it had to be.

Fr I no joking have over 500 hours and have every trophy in this damned game and completed every trophy except one or two from the online mode
And mostly because some people don't like to pay to play online

i wish they were excluded from the pack of trophies it is in, so you'd only have to complete the red dead story 100% to get a platinum trophy. and rdo trophies stay seperate not being required for the platinum

Also tip for studying panthers: hunt them at night, lay down the potent predator bait, use cover scent lotion and hide in the bushes. ✌🏼
Pro tip for wolves: attrack them and run somewhere on the higher ground like a rock , sh00t them, but keep one alive and just injure them by shooting with revolver into their paws, they’ll eventually turn around and leave. You can study them then

@@Trofees also the easy way to get bounty in ambarino is to get a train to annesburg. Jump onto the roof, wait for it to cross Ambarino border and rob a train. Instant bounty guaranteed

I have to give you a lot of credit for going for the platinum a second time. I honestly see myself not going for it especially with the gold medals being so tedious. I had gotten 6 trophies recently but they were not bad ones like the bountiful and 18 bears trophy.
It is one of the most tedious platinum's I've ever done. I'm not sure if gta v is worse but they're both insane
@@Trofees yea I will be very honest I'm not usually someone who goes for platinum trophies like if there is an easy achievement that doesn't take like 9 or 10 hours then I will do it. I did get the platinum for GTA 5 recently but that is because I had a lot of trophies because I wanted 100 percent. I also unlocked some trophies just having fun online. There was only a few left I needed so I figured what the hell let me just go for the platinum.
those are the best games. The one's where you play it and enjoy it so much that you don't worry about the platinum other than the last few trophies.

I swear the Exotic quests were going to be as hard if more difficult than Gold Rush. Turns out I was wrong on it!

when he gets sentenced for hanging, you can kill the officers, lose the wanted, then ride back and shoot the rope to set him free & small dialogue

I went for 100% on my first playthrough on Xbox and literally did everything right up to Guarma and later found out I missed the Guarma animals... didnt have a save either.
Stopped playing after I finished that playthrough and after 2 years I finally upgraded my PC and got Red Dead on steam, I can now proudly say I 100% the game and got all achievements.
It was a wild ride but it was amazing all the way through! (alright maybe not when I did the exotic quests or some of the challenges)

Quick tip: I recommend you should buy a turkoman breed horse since u encounter cougar’s alot
Go to the blackwater stable and buy the turkoman, reason that i telling u to buy them is cuz they are war horses and are used in usually gun fights, so whenever you encounter a cougar it will give you way more time to kill the predator instead of bucking u off instantly

When you play online to get level 50 get the bounty hunter role as soon as you have 15 gold bars that is for sure the best role

 i did the collector role last time to get to Rank 50. It's faster but I'll play the bounty hunter role just for fun and switch to collector when I get bored

Watching this half a year after i platinumed this game on PS4 is brining back a wave of nostalgia, joy, pain, tears, and now that i have a PC with Red Dead on it, and the game will run and look amazing, I am trying to convince myself to do it all again, i need all trophies on steam.

A way I found to get a high bounty in Amberino was to attack Fort Wallace. Then run to wait out the 3 days down in New Austin (if the rest were done in the other states).
Based on your horse's cores i assume it's an Arabian and those horses get spooked easily even at bonding level 4. A better option would be the Missouri Foxtrotter
Yeah it's an arabian. I didn't want to spend time bonding with another horse but if there's a next time, I'll definitely use the missouri foxtrotter
Yeah the Arabians are skittish little buggers. Really beautiful but just about guaranteed to throw you, say hasta la vista and leave you to the predators.
Yep that horse was always running during gunfights too. Made me chase it too many times!
Right now I’m on my 2nd playthrough and a couple days back I’ve had the exact thing happen to me while hunting the legendary Panther.
Well, I dunno exact. But it died without my involvement.
I didn’t see anyone else or heard anything.
I was just stalking it, trying to lineup a good shot then it just died after some time 🤷🏻♂️
For anyone doing zoologist in the future, and skin deep, the carolina parakeet isn't recquired for the platnium. The guarma animals aren't recquired as well (but for anyone doing them, because the time is glitched in guarma you need to bring the federals back to your camp to actually make the time start again)

Where did you find the male moose? i've spent days searching for one...
one spawned in ambarino while I was looking for a treasure. i can't even remember the location. Grizzlies east for sure though

The best way to find a moose is to ride to one of their spawn locations. One spawns in the same area as the white Arabian. Ride through the spawn point hang out for a bit, then turns around and return to the spawn point.
I tried that with no luck but it works for a lot of people

Tip for skin deep trophy: you don´t need to kill any small animals like birds or toads or whatever, just the ones that give you a "skin" option. And the legendary and Guarma-only animals don´t count for any of the trophies either

The random sidequest is actualy FOR the Carolina Parakeet, you have to kill around 30 of them to make them go extinct or something.
There is s special voiceline for when you take the bearhat of that first bounty

I’m pretty sure u can’t study when it’s angry and the bird side quest is you can kill all them and make them go extinct and how did u get to new Austin? Like did u just do it while you were in that chapter?

From what I understand you can't study an animal that's attacking you. You can only study them when they've not noticed you yet or when they're running away after being shot and injured or in the case of wolf packs the rest of the pack has been killed. Only then can you study it. Shoot the leg so you don't kill it but make it run away. There is an acception for the black bear but even though it shows as an enemy on the minimap I've never had one actually attack me, so you can study them regardless.
It's annoying but it makes sense that Rockstar wanted us to take a slower approach to study each animal

Tip for bountiful trophy: if your trying to get the 250 bounty in ambarino, do a train robbery and kill all the lawnen you need until you get 250

On PS4, it took me around 15 hours over the course of a few weeks to get the Moose to spawn. I won't lie, on PC I spawned it with a menu because I refuse to sit through the rare RNG spawns again.
That's a crazy amount of time to find one moose 😭

Did you know for the legendary animals you can use a fire arrow to one shot them all and it won't damage the pelt bc it's a legendary animal
A tip after you get the $250 Bounty in each state go to the house that has the man/bear/pig upstairs and hide. The only way to get upstairs is from the outside and the AI can't climb up there so basically just climb up and let it sit.

You can use the perfect panther pelt to craft the best saddle in the game if you sell it to the trapper by finding it in the wild or finding him in Saint Denis.

18:00 I remember seeimg a moose, not sure whetehr it was a western one or legendary, but I ignored it as I was trying to get a White Arabian horse. I still regret not killing that moose when I had the chance because I havent found another since. But on the bright side I have a cool horse.
