I struggle to knit a sweater in three months!
I would never be able to knit anything in three hours , maybe a dishcloth but thats it
❤️
🤩😜👍🏻
11:24 cool! I do that too, when cast on, every 20 stitches, I place a stitch marker. Such a big difference and almost zero mistakes 👍
It saves me having to count over and over again. 😁
I made my own version as a cardigan. I used 7mm for the rib and 8mm for the main with Aran weight yarn. I used 48 stitches for the two fronts and sleeves with 100 stitches for the back. All up I think it took me about 30 hours.
I love the idea of making it a cardigan! Is there a photo on IG? If so, could you tag me so I can find it? ❤️
AMAZING video!!!! I am so going to try this 3 hours-jumper challenge :)
Thank you! When you make it, tag me on in IG. I want to see your version!
If I make it, I will use a circular needle and cast on all the front and back stitches at once and knit it in one piece up to the armhole. I hate sewing the pieces together.😊
Circular needles are a good idea. I'm likely going to do the same when I resize it for myself. ❤️
This was such a fun - if impossible! - challenge, and a very pretty style too ❤
I'm going to work on resizing it to fit me. That will be the next challenge. 😂
What a fun challenge! The pattern is lovely.
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to make!
Love it, looks fun! I think I will make this!
You should! When you do, please tag me on Instagram. 😁
Maybe for a 10 inch stuffed teddy bear.
I can make a Weasley Christmas tree ornament sweater in 3 hours...
Amazing!
Thank you!
It's super cute!!
Thank you! ❤️
I think it’s such a cute sweater, even at 4x the advertised speed ☺️
It came out really cute! 🥰
I’ve seen several people try this no one finishes 😂 I’d try it on size 8 needles and maybe an aaron this is even my size I’m a 16 in vintage I’d have to make the waist smaller though I might try it! Yours looks really big so I definitely need to play with the sizes
I've seen that too and don't understand why they abandoned it..
The bust is more of a loose 36" when done. I'm going to resize it for myself and go down a few needle sizes.
I love the sweater and will definitely knit it up in the future. Love the yarn you chose to use. 👏👏👏👏❤️🌺
Maybe it would be easier with a knitting belt? Once you're used to them it significantly increases speed.
I need to look this up!
I’m lucky I could get the ribbing done in a day
Since you started with: 'take BONE needles' I doubt this would have been knitted on a knitting knitting machine. And I if you downloaded this pattern for free - you repeatedly mentioned that it was free on the website - then you should not put it behind a pay pay curtain.
The pattern is free over on my Patreon. Anyone can grab it for free.
The baby sweater at the same gauge is a 5 hour baby sweater, so it was never going to be a 3 hour sweater. It’s cute though!!!
It came out really cute! 🥰
Maybe it was meant to mean each section takes 3 hours?
Which is basically how long it took for each section. It was still a quick knit though. ❤️😁
I don’t think I could ever knit a sweater in 3 hours! Maybe 3 weeks ( for a child) 😂
😁❤️
3 months for me. LOL!
So time run differently in 1930s?
Or they knit faster. 😁
Absolutely no way could I knit an adult sweater in 3 hours. Maybe 30 hours knitting a size 0
😁❤️
I would have only finished the rib stitching at the bottom 😒
Once you get past the ribbing it knits up really fast.
5 mm is u s size 8
And 10mm is u s size 15
Thank you! 😁❤️
Not possible even with a knitting machine.
Good to know. I wonder how long it would take? I wish I owned one to test it out. ❤️
You might be able to knit the pieces pretty quickly, but you still have to sew them together. Also you have do do swatching with the yarn to check your gauge and then do the math. I would say the knitting machine cuts the time in half of regular hand knitting.
@@carolynscilley382 So true! It all adds up.
@@killerkitschvintagelizzie You would need either an LK 150, or a chunky knitting machine to knit with worsted weight yarn, you could possibly knit the pieces over the course of a day, or two, but the sewing up would take time to do, so it would still be more than a few hours.
Also Cascade 220 worsted weight, or Kelbourne Woolens Germantown, or Paton's Classic Wool Worsted are a similar weight to the original yarn, also Lion Brand would also have a few acrylic yarns that would work to a similar gauge, like Vanna's choice.
Are you also Sarah Strange?
I'm not. Weirdly there is a Toronto musician called Sarah Strange.
@@killerkitschvintagelizzie Sarah Strange is a very good actress I’ve seen quite a bit on the Hallmark Channel. You look a lot like her.
Aw Thank you! ☺️ @@pearlknitpurl
