For some reason whenever I listen to this song I always hear it from the perspective of somebody on the brink of giving up and realizing it. I hear it as if they are realizing that they have only one person left and they are writing a letter to the person in case they ever decide to take their own life. They are saying don’t forget about me because they dont want to be forgotten as time goes on and don’t want people to forget about what they went through so that they can maybe even help others in there own situation.
