He's absolutely right - they really take you seriously when you visit them in the fair. They buy huge quantity of leather from me specially Stingray & Ostrich leather.
I have never been to China and i am doing business with chinese since last 20 years😂😂😂. I started early with sampling and then came the internet, i am a buyer. But i think it's more important for sellers to visit in person. Now i am doing business with China,Taiwan,S Korea,USA ,Turkey and some EU nations. If you know what you want and in what price you want then internet is your friend. But if you are starting fresh and have no practical knowledge about your stuff then it will be a bumpy ride
All lot of miss assumptions about the reliability of the supplier, you cannot really know the real expertise and production setup when you are going to a fair. You need to visit the factory to understand the supplier and producers.
