In short; he's trash. Now, she needs to have a long talk with herself about what she wants in a future boyfriend which should NOT be him and then tell him in a long text what she overheard, how it made her feel, and end this growing toxic friendship. Yes, she can't just shut off her feelings for him just like that, but she needs to end this. Mourn the loss of a once deep friendship, it will hurt. But him? He's trash and will only hurt her.

This reminds me of a girl I befriended in highschool. We were both gay and bonded over cartoons and such. And she even Told me about Oswald Rabbit being Walt Disney's First Cartoon before Mickey. I would skip lunch to spend time with her in a counselors office waiting room. I thought we were good friends until I was at the eye Doctor and saw her pass by outside. I went out of the store and called to her but she then broke into a sprint upon hearing me. I knew then that we were never really friends and it hurt.
