You're welcome. Now I hope you find some very deep and very full of gold crevices. Bring a long thin metal rod to help loosen the deeper thin crevices if necessary. As you know, the best gold will be at the bottom. Good luck my friend.

Hi Kyle, I'm new to watching. I enjoyed watching your videos so I subscribed. One thing I didn't understand well actually two what does GPH stand for? And what was the other figure 150 sluice? When I watched you were cleaning the underside of a small Clift if the gold flow goes toward the downstream part I was thinking to myself that it would be caught in the cliffs on the other side of the Stream. There was a small crevice it would seem very likely. I enjoyed your videos made me wish that I could still walk through the woods and do things like this. I love the fact that you clean the area that you're working in. Much more people need to be aware of their surroundings and what they're doing to it. Good luck

I don't know much about them but couldn't you cut up an old truck tire tube for a gasket and clamp it in the top of that box to get the top to quit spewing? Like c clamp it down, maybe even wouldn't need the gasket since it doesn't have to be a perfect seal.

Hey, I saw that set up a few years back on UA-cam and they had issues where that smalle pipe comes off the big one that brings the water in. That weld was an issue and the force of it caused a weak point there. I'm not sure what has or hasn't happened to your set up. That's the first thing that came to my mind when you talked about it. I agree with getting bad comments, I just don't get it.

Is it possible to have too much black sand in your pan? I’m wondering if it just pushes the gold around or what would you suggest I do when the black sand is 1/4 inch deep or more? I do see gold then it gets covered up again or maybe my technique is wronge??? Not sure but I found my very first little shunk lol or baby picker, was so exciting!

You need a blue bowl or a mini sluice with a recirculating system or if you perfect your panning skills like me you won’t need anything, we in Missouri have dealt with the tiny tiny stuff so we by instinct are professional panners lol but congratulations on your first chunker!

I do not want to be negative. But....... your highbanker is not working with leaves, klay, rocks etc. And a long bend on the end of your hose would make the water go in to the sluice. Nice vid!

Surprised you only got two pickers though... where are the fines? 20k gph blowing them out the end? Mark Keene is always saying slow that water down, more grates or whatever.
Also, why are those giant rocks still in your pan at the end? Something wrong there! ;)

William Meyer I melted the Missouri glacial gold I found two years ago into a button it weighed right at 1/3 Troy ounce, about $400.00 worth today. I’ll make some jewelry from it for my wife or daughter. I won’t melt any more down, it looks better raw in a vial. But yes, most jewelers deal in gold or gold scrap, they pay anywhere from 70 to 90% of spot price.

My hydroforce is a 2”, word of advice locktight that water valve handle. They are notorious about loosing and falling off! On dry land or gravel bar I set my water to were the hole stays just full enough to keep up with the suction. That‘s the setup everyone uses now in Alaska for beach sand. Could I make a suggestion? Use a tub to pan your cons in, I use a cheap mortar tub from, like, Home Depot. You will be surprised how much fine gold slips by on the first pan out in heavy black sand. Besides, it fun to double check your panning skills at home relaxing, i do. Lol nice total of Missouri gold! Money spent? I have have a friend that spent 40,000 on a bass boat, why because he enjoys getting out on the lake.

2:23 those two stones you threw to the side could have probably been cleaned up and sold for some decent money as landscaping pieces, or to someone looking to make decorative stone art. some people don't see the dollars for the gold. unless you were somewhere where you only had a permit to remove just the gold.

I know just how much work that gold took to get. With where you are if you get ten of those specks in a day your doing very well. Congratulations it's beautiful gold and hard earned. With that dredge slow the water down by almost half if you can. Get a dream mat for one of the lower sluices to get the super fine stuff. Gold hogs dredge mats are worth getting as you seem to know. But also check out gold owl's mats, you can slide together different configurations and change them out at will. Bring it on out here to Oregon next summer during dredge season and I'll put you on some gold somewhere on a tributary to the Rogue river. Best of luck my man!

Ds Eldridge I can probably answer that one. The small gold we find here in Missouri is glacial gold that’s been traveling in the environment for a few thousand years. The gold runs around 22ct, I think it is so high because it’s small and most of the copper, silver etc. has been leached out by natural nitrates and sulfide over an extremely long period of time.
