Lovely autumn page. I like the phrase “Live gently upon the earth.” It fits well with the scene and is a thoughtful reminder to each of us to be a little kinder to people and animals, and maybe allow ourselves a little less stress.
thank you! Yes that phrase I think helped the page to come together. I was going for a fall and calm vibe ... and the second I saw that sticker I knew it was the one! 😍

Yes creative backgrounds, yet so easy to make! I think for hte beginners who watch my videos are easy to recreate. I try to find way to encourage everyone to try art journaling with what they have.

The background is so pretty! I think the squirrel is adorable and the phrases go with this page so well. I also love this older forest collection and still have a lot of pieces and paper from it...I guess I'm hoarding it! I enjoyed seeing this so much today because it lifted my spirit. Anytime I see a squirrel I feel better because they're always so happy and scampering around!🌳

Thank you for all the great tips, Vicky. I bought some rice paper glue and wasn’t quite sure how to use it. I also bought some of the markers and understand more how to use those as well. The page is really beautiful as are all the pages you create.

I got just the 8x8 paper pad a long time ago, and only have a few scraps left of it. I just ordered it again along with a lot of the ephemera, etc. It makes fabulous masculine cards.
It is a lovely collection, I love the designs and the colors too!

I love adding the brush markers to my work. Does Stamperia have any gold leaf products (real or imitation)? I used it to pump up a card that I copied from your video using one ephemera pack for 10 cards (Tim Holtz). I didn't have all the same papers and one of the cards just looked kind of lame. So I used the mixed media glue & the fake gold leafing to put just a few flakes here and there on the card, sort of like splatters. It turned out lovely and gave the card just the spark it needed. This would work well with your style of art journal pages. Maybe in your next collection of accessories, you might want to think about adding it. It seems to work very well with Stamperia paper collections. As usual, lovely work Vicky.
Oh yes they do have both in sheets as well as in flakes! I think I have them in my stash! I should go and dig them out!
Hi Vicky, after applying the rice paper glue, can you use alcohol markers for shading instead of using the markers? Love watching all your videos, one day I will try a journal page too. I mostly make cards right now.
You can use them BUT you can’t smudge them, they dry instantly
I love these last 3 art Journal videos that are longer! It inspired me to start journaling again. Even though my mat medium is completely dry. My white pigment pens just don't want to flow. Any ideas?
those white pens are a pain... I struggle too you are not alone! Sometimes I "warm them up" on the finger ... I take super good care of them making sure that they don't touch any wet paint on medium on my page.... but still .. .it is what it is I guess. I always have 2 or 3 at hand to switch 🤣
In the next art journal video I will talk more about them while using them and share tips! Took a note!
