If they are telling me, I have to fly to San Diego from Mississippi and go through all that just to get an exclusive I’m going to give up on the classified line
It does say that you would be able to buy them on hasbro once sdcc is over however, with the amount of demand being very high for it and the supply is being highly limited, GOOD LUCK. On top of that you need to be at SDCC and be registered. Definitely need to pick up as much as you can.
One thing of note, i dont think this is Hasbros doing. I think this portal applies to all the big vendors not just Hasbro. I think its SDCC that is implementing this. Now question is if Hasbro had the option to opt out of this or not
Optimus and Megatron are from IDW. Optimus is a remold of his gamer edition. Death's head was originall created for transformers but due to contracts marvel got to keep him.
Wow people really do have short memories this literally what sdcc was doing before covid and now people are getting mad because sdcc is going back to what they're originally doing with there exclusives .
For as long as I can remmber all the San Diego Comicon Classified figures havent been able to purchase at the Convention always released later Dr Mindbender, Chuckles etc
JAY , entertainment earth did something similar at NY CC a few years back *and IT ENDED IN A DISASTER* that shall be LEGENDARY mark my words we will be talking about this for years to come*
that Co-Co is worthy of being an exclusive....also Darth Maul is really good...i hope Hasbro would start per episode of Star Wars instead of jumping into different films and TV series...cool updates
They're going to give people going to comic-con 10 days to buy up as many exclusives as they want, and everyone who can't go will have to wait until the 18th, if not after, to be able to buy even ONE exclusive on Pulse. 🤦🏾♂️
To chime in here, this is just a drawing for the opportunity to buy the products. I’ve been going since 2017, and this by far beats waiting in line 2-3 hours just to be turned away when the exclusives are sold out for the day.
No one is purchasing exclusives through the portal. The portal is simply an entry system into a lottery for time slots to booths that sell exclusives. Those with a badge are given a number of credits per badge per day. Badge holders use those credits to "buy" entries for time slots to booths selling exclusives. A couple of days after the portal closes, folks are randomly selected from all the entries. If you "win" a time slot, you receive an email letting you know for which time slot you were selected. For example, last year I "won" a 2pm time slot at the Mattel booth. You show up, show the booth attendant your selection email, then they let you in line, then you buy your exclusives.
It would suck if pulse members aren't allowed to place an order for once a man Cobra Commander .....not everyone has the means to travel to San Diego California
So how would someone that is not able to attend the SDCC purchase a Classified "Once a Man" Cobra Commander? Will they offer pre-orders during or after the SDCC? Or do we need to look to "After Market" sales?
This is the traditional SDCC system. They would do lottery time slots and only people with badge for that day could sign up. I prefer the promo code, not sure why Hasbro wants to waste money shipping product to con, but I guess enough people complained about wanting “product at the con”.
I also want to add the timeslot system was used for vendors because of all the funko scalpers that love to congest the show floor and create fire hazards for all attendees. They forced funko into different corners of the convention center, but I think now it’s at a point, they had to offsite some of it 😂
I've been attending SDCC for the past 15 years. There's no approach that really works well or satisfies everyone when Hasbro offers to sell toys at the event. You have to consider that there are 150,000 people attending SDCC on any given day, and there are thousands people seeking exclusive. The Hasbro booth can only hold about 30-50 people in line, leaving at least hundreds of other trying to get in line at every minute of the day; there's constant pushing and shoving. I mean, back in the old days, when SDCC opened their doors, people would run to the Hasbro booth, like a stampede. When the line is capped/closed, people would stand in the isles and block for flow traffic and prevent the vendors around the Hasbro from getting business. The blocked isles is also a fire hazard, which the fire marshal can used to shut down the event until there's crowd control.
NECA handles exclusives way better, at least they give pre sales for everyone to get them for both con goer and non con goer. I just bought all the NECA exclusives a month before SDCC even starts yesterday. Friday at noon is the last day of the pre sale. Hasbro has lost their mind making people jump through hoops and those are the actual Con goers that are there in person lol.
I’m not stressed at all this year. I want that Cobra Commander, but I don’t NEED that Cobra Commander. Deaths Head is cool but I don’t have space in my Marvel case for him. None of this stuff is Serpentor/Dr. Mindbender level FOMO.
With BULLSH$# like this going on I miss they days of walking into a TOYS-R-US selecting a fig or two paying and leaving!! STOP OVERCOMPLICATING AN EASY TO NAVIGATE SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pure stupidity way of releasing their exclusive SDCC figures, it's basically putting the Figures behind a Paywall as Gamers would say that gameplayers always boycott when game companies always try to implement them into their game's. News flash Toy companies you can't stop scalpers from buying multiple items of one. This move just Shows how crooked these companies really are, as no one No's the price of anything.
Hasbro has ridiculously- milked that Megatron _War for Cybertron_ mold beyond the point of NO RETURN! > Give us the G1 _Studio series 86_ (Leader class) Megs already!
Apparently getting the exclusives was too easy, so they decided to 'unstreamline' the process. How did they think fans would take this well? We should boycott the product and show Hasbro that they need to stop jerking us around. It was already impossible for most of us to get the SDCC exclusives, and now those who can actually made it to the event, will have to jump through hoops to get them.
I'm glad they have dumb stuff behind that paywall... I bet a lot of people are going to riot though. Tons of collectors are completionists and will never own that cobra... Not because it's expensive it's just there aren't enough made.
This is so stupid on Hasbro's part. Access to SDCC has become so much more expensive and exclusive over the last 15 years or so. Hopefully IGN's reporters misrepresented some facts. Maybe Hasbro will bring a set quantity to SDCC and then put a 2nd and 3rd batch up for pre-order after the show. Pressers from Hasbro are frequently incorrect and Lenny or Emily usually clarifies everything at some point.
Im glad their cracking down on SCALPERS so if you want a figure your buying it for yourself for your collection not for too take advantage of collectors who aren't able too go,,some people got too work ,and some people have children so they can't head out of state,, I'm glad their smacking the SCALPERS pockets, Hasbro and other toy companies should have put a stop too SCALPERS along time ago 💯😂😂😂😂😂😂

Stalk Hasbro pulse after the CC and you should be able to get one if you're info is saved and you can check out fast.
@@gregarcher8177 I'm still trying to do that to acquire the cobra ferret. I was able to get one last week at 1am. Lol
They should have a blind roadblock carrying him
NYCC had something like that for Tamashii Nations booth. They assign you a time and it's shown when you get your NYCC badge scanned.

This is not a new process. SDCC did the last year too. Funko, Mattel, Lego and other companies all participated.
Emily said (during the morning intro) the remaining supplies would be available online after the show
God damn it Hasbro denying me a DeathsHead
As someone who read Marvel UK's The Transformers and Doctor Who Magazine, Death's Head looks awesome!

This is like a trip to Disney
this is why I don't collect the classified series, I'm not smart enough to understand where/how to buy the ones I actually want.
Hasbro has mastered marketing FOMO.
previously they would stamp your badge when you bought so you could NOT buy every day.
It's not about the collectors now. It's about the money. They don't care anymore.
@@omegashenron8 *FEELS* like it nowadays, doesn't it?
