I thought it was because when she resurrected the dragon tamer her eyes turned black and red I though she switched healths with him so now she has the illness thing also why is she combing him with feral street fighter moves like she literally used a hadooken
So the reason why the dragon tamer wasn't dead was explained slightly in the full movie version that was 1 video together, they added extra cut scenes that explained some of the plot wholes, really helpful, but you may have to rewatch some of the new cutscenes just so not to miss out on that 1 dialogue that explains his survival
i agree with you that season 1 seems a lot more better because its more to rain as the main character but yeah they had a story line to do and rain cant just be the center of every music video (just like how kudo shinichi from detective conan being the mc but doesnt always appeared on the anime lmao) and yeah its true the animation is improving especially ever since after the witch (stella) and the dragon tamer (rain) went on journey. (and sorry for spam lol)

Season 2 isn’t bad or underwhelming, it’s just slower pace to flesh out more of the world before the story really kicks in, which you see in Season 3 so far. Season 2 isn’t as great, but is still great
