I love this series and am recording it so I can watch them several times. They cover a multitude of topics, cooking/baking, gardening, crafting and making your own artwork. I'm one of these unfortunate individuals that if you put a set of written instructions in front of me, I have to read it 20 or 30 times to try and envision what it's telling me to do and even then, I may not understand it. I have to watch someone going through the steps and I write the steps down after I watch them to comit them to memory. That's why programs like this are so important to people like me--I learn by watching someone doing, not just by them talking. It's how I learned to make homemade soap, bake potato rolls for holidays, and I actually had to buy a DVR of Julia Child's The Way to Cook to learn how to make some of her most famous dishes. That's why I love UA-cam as well. If I had to pay for classes, I couldn't afford it. But with programming like this, I can become a pretty accomplished person and let's face it, during the pandemic we've all had a lot of time on our hands.
On top of getting a treat we also do a reverse Advent calendar. Each day you put a non-perishable item (food or small gift) into a basket/box, on Christmas day or just after we give it to someone in need.
I love this idea so much!! Too late to start the project now for this year. This gives me a fresh new idea for next Christmas!
Cute project :)
