the lord needs a set of armor for when he's visiting the battlefield!
It looks awesome, but still a bit limited. And does hiding troops work? Surprise attacks from the forest?
Can you build a giant medieval city like London or Paris? I mean like a real BIG medieval city.?
@@smachdos1593 I hope that's in the DLC.
@@smachdos1593 id imagine that stuff like that will take time. this is probably a long term project, like HOI. We'll receive updates every six months or so. Eventually it might become the game we all dream it will be. But make sure you dont get too hyped and dream too big
you literally blew my mind when you put ranged on the left flank to avoid the shield. never thought they would be that thorough to include it in total war
well its been in for ages
This is so insanely next level gamemechanic wise. It is years ahead of every single AAA-Title.
It looks good but Jesus Christ, there’s a 6 unit cap, unlimited ammo, no cavalry, no fortifications. I’m excited to see what the dev has in store but it most certainly not “years ahead.”
@@hiyascoob5969 while I agree with you, consider this banger of a game is made by just one developer. To put out such a quality game (albeit with its limitations) by himself is quite an achievement entire teams of developers haven't been able to do for multiple reasons.
@@hiyascoob5969 this footage is literally early access, when the game gets to its next stage, it will definitely be a lot more polished. i don't think you have any idea how early in stages of development this game is
@@hiyascoob5969 also, it's coming out in early access. Most AAA titles we're comparing it to, like Total War, are full releases. The single dev has already suggested cavalry and ammo are things coming down the road, maybe larger armies might be too.
@@hiyascoob5969 It is a period-set city-builder (or rather village/town-builder) in the first place, as the developer says himself, and the battles are an addition to that. It is not the main purpose of the game to do battles. It is not meant to compete or compare with the Total War series, also because it plays on a much smaller scale: one village, maybe a small town with a few hundred to one thousand inhabitants of which you are the lord. This is not on some grand level, where you are the king or emperor of a whole country or empire macro-managing. Here you get to choose per house where you want it to be build, instead of just looking at a map of whole regions.
Great battle scene, this game has so many possibilities for the future such as siege warfare.
Looking great. Any alternative to the greedy CA is a win in my book.
This ain't competition for CA battle looks mediocre at best
@@FabioCycling Not a direct competitor, but this may be the push that CA needs to get up from their arses, and make a game better than the competition.
@@theannoyinghistorian1812 That I agree with
@@theannoyinghistorian1812 As a fan since rome total war I agree. I'm tired of the simple reskin on the same game.
Not a direct competitor but we are almost there.
This looks great and the unit cards remind me of "age of charlemagne"
damn this looks good and im really suprised that ai can actually ambush and do some nice flanking manouvers! i hope in full version u can bring more than 6 units tho
With mercenaries you can add 3 more units to your army i think. Its 6 max of militia and the rest woth mercenaries but they cost money
Don't claim territories when you get challenged or the enemy will turn up with an army for each territory that is being challenged. Learned the hard way when i tried to challenge 2 territories after the ai tried to claim one of mine. They came at the battle site with 20 units!!!! I had only 6 lol
Excellent formation and execution. The ambushes really shake up the battlefield. I’m really loving what I’m seeing of this game
seeing them run from their houses to battle is dope! ive been investigating this game a bit i didnt realize it was this heavy on th erealism.. greaet video too you do an excellent job
This game is truly amazing, can't wait to play it
i would like to see everything about the plate armors. hope 2 see soon more manor lords videos
Nice video.
Hope you make more video like this.
Close up on battles. Very good.

Bro with your genius military tactics you could be a king in the middle ages.
So cool i hope there was a mod into a Pre-Marian Rome Republic
This game is looking so good!!!!!
is there any lock formation function in this game? it just tedious to click and drag everywhere...
In the beginning you say that in early access, you can only bring 6 units into battle.
That is not entirely true, though. You can recruit one unit of retinue with a size of up to 24 guys PER territory conquered, as long as you build a manor with a garrison tower there. (There's currently a bug that lets you build more than 1 garrison tower and make your retinue thus much bigger than intended, but you can disregard that, it will probably be patched)
So you have four territories, for instance, then you can have 4 retinues. In addition to that, 5 militia units. And then on top of that, you can recruit mercenary companies.
Manor lords looks so fcking good
This game is unbelievably awesome
Wait how did you see this video
@@FightMeTotalWar Illuminati confirmed
wtf 🤣this comment came before the video
@@FightMeTotalWar with eyes i think 🤔
i got 6x and AL got 200+ troops i lost all. means i need start new game?
Can you build a giant medieval city like London or Paris? I mean like a real BIG medieval city.
i dont think so for the EA laucnh. but sieges according to the Q&A is planned so im guessing down the road yes
Will you start a playthrough
Max 6 units and unlimited archers ammo. Hmm, I hope they change these.
6 units max is fine, you are just one of those idiots who likes to bloat the screen until everything is a mess
@@sebaaullador12926 unit isnt realistic !
@@Selkath_Tholotian Idk about that man, most medieval battles were of similar size, especially considering we're playing as a baron. Barons never had access to thousands of troops.
@Selkath_Tholotian
at the scale of these settlements? Completely realistic
Hollywood has convinced people that medieval battles on the scale of LotR were common but in fact those were era defining moments, not the norm
@@luukvanwolven4347 european wars mostly where baron vs baron. Like 100 vs 100 soldiers
it would be cool to have walls , rams etc.
MOREEEEEEEEEEE
WEEEEEEE NEEEEEEEEED MORE BATTLE VIDEOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Found a little exploit how to go above 6 units. Before building second manor, reach the cap of 6 units, when you build second manor in new territory, you” l get second retinue unit DO NOT DISBAND any militia and you’ll get 7 units and every additional with every new manor. If you disband you wont be able to get new units as retinues count to the total cap of 6.
Ι like quiet enough things in this new game and of course I will fall in love with its mods when ...
But for now on vanilla I love so much the banner standards that have EXACTLY the size and shape of history accurate stuff of that Era. On Bannerlord even with mods none of it until now has that, I see 15 feet poles with small flags - banners that need a very strong arm to handle these poles high in real life. The pole sticks on bannerlord which is an Immortal game none can deny that , well are too sized on Z (X Y and Z) axis than the standard - usual size. So the flags - banners look small and that is so unaesthetic for a Heraldry and Chivalry Era Theme Game. Only 2 Mods tried to have a banner flag with standard overhaul with different shapes on flags or textures to give them prestige But still look very small with too scaled poles in my eyes. Here I see immersion on army marching , very cool animations and aesthetic view of banner carriers as result on I mentioned before. I hope on Bannerlord they take consider as well this stuff and make a fix on 'Raise your Banner' mod to work on 1.2.8 which for me is the most stable V of the Game that accepts lists of amazing simple and overhaul Mods.
How do you get eaely access?
Be a youtuber
Better than Pharaoh total war :P
I swore I heard you say early access. How does one join early access lol
Can you loot armor and other gear from enemy units that die in battle?
No unfortunately not
You also lose weapons of your fallen soldiers
Damm, makes me want to play the game so bad. Are archers overpowered?
Just like in real life
Looks like they're not too damaging gameplay-wise, but they might be easy to abuse once people get more familiar with the mechanics. Then again, cavalry might shake that up if the AI can use them effectively.
Amazing game, though I must mention there is no rival ai on the map .. only the player can take lands and construct buildings, armies… enemy ai will just send armies after you that spawn off map
Slavic magic said he will release enemy settlements after release
I just hope my computer will handle that :)
You had 3 archer division and you somehow managed to manage them in a way where all of em were unable to shoot at the same time. Not sooo good
Cant wait for next week I didnt buy Last of US 2 Remastered on my PS5 so I could buy this on my Gaming Laptop.
Hell ye
3:00 you've got to be kidding. that's actualy a mechanic?
I cannot win last battle, claimed, everything accept one last territory, I go with 2 fully stacked personal retinues, 2 pikes with helmets and plates from town with 88% approval, 2 spars, and second sons merceneries that have 1 light and one heavy archer unit… and I just lost for like 10th time, keep save scuming, but there is just to many of them :) he outnumbers me 2:1, i guess I’ll build 2-3 more manors in other lands to bring 3 more personal retinues… unless 6 units cap includes them as well, then I don’t really know what to do, couse i can get only one mercs band.
Sorry, but I only smash the like button after the battle, never before.
Made by one guy basically lol just look at those archer animations, actually drawing like real longbowmen, memewhile in modern TW they can't even be arsed to have proper crossbow or gun reloading animations
Hope this doesn't become a stat simulator like modern Total War
It would be great if just only please take off the ammo bar and change it for the number of arrows that the unit have 😢
They have unlimited ammo the bar is the stamina and morale
It would be cool if your peasants had to walk back to their homes in armour to disarm themselves
Max six units?
Yes but the unit sizes do get slightly larger than the video, I’ve seen some battles where the general unit had 18 and both the infantry units had 36 as well, so this is still not quite max size for an army. It is under it by about 40 men.
Mercenaries are not counted to the limit at the time
Massive armi : 100 soldier
The maximum of 6 unit groups is not true. In another battle video you can 7 troops.
🥲
This is not massive battle...
Making tutorials for a game that's not even released yet lol
Even with this fantastic early access some people will find something to wine about 😂 Do they even grasp the concept of early access? Considering a very small dev team created this product it’s actually insane that they outperform multi billion dollar corporations. I guess that’s a sign corporate also ruins the gaming world, these aaa companies haven’t been innovative for more than 10 years
Nordmans? Are they included in game?
everymen count .... sound sad imperial guards from warhammer 40k 🤣😂
dude deserves a like
