I'm not even kidding whenever I see that Ashley has posted I get the biggest smile on my face
i'm not even kidding when i read this comment i got the biggest smile on my face 😆😆😆
no cause the nostalgia when Ashley mentioned "the good old Scholastic days"
Ohhh MYYYYYYYYY.
For sure.
Myself.
It was DECADES AGO, back in the 1990s. I still have some of the Catalogs that marketed such books.
In Australia QLD, that is.
Main trope of any horror/mystery/thriller: the characters will do the dumbest stuff. Being chased by a killer? Runs into a shed of sharp objects
😂😂😂😂
A few suggestions for future baking: I’m a little concerned that your banana bread was so dark on top but still very undercooked. I would get an oven thermometer to double check that your oven temperature is correct. Also, when you are baking something and the top starts to get brown on top but you still need to bake it longer, you can place a sheet of aluminum foil on top to keep it from browning too much while it continues to bake. If you have a whisk attachment for your immersion blender, use that to mix the ingredients. It’s hard to problem shoot a recipe unless you follow it exactly, but don’t let “failures” deter you from trying again. We’ve all been there and we learn from our mistakes. Have fun with it. It’s clear your boyfriend is super sweet and appreciates the effort.
Correct. Her pan also seems a bit low. When I use a tall loaf pan the top never burns, most likely because moisture keeps rising to the top preventing it from burning.
Also, follow the recipe. It seems obvious but most of my baking failures were me trying to do my own thing. Her blending bananas with eggs probably didn't help much, but I noticed most banana cake recipes say that you should cream (whisk) sugar with melted butter. That probably helps a lot for the final texture.
can you help me with my fail cake condition pleasee
i tried to bake bread, but it doesn’t rise, i followed the recipe, but im afraid there is skill or some technique that i must do for the dough to be rise. thank you so much for reading this tho🙏🏼🙏🏼
Did anyone read this book as well??! If you did.. tell me you agree with me….! 😅
You posting this on my birthday as a lavely I'm so happy. Thanks for always taking us with you through adulting.
HAPPPPY BIRTHDAY !!!! 💜💜💜💜
Happy birthday
Happy Birthday!
I’m so happy you asked for book recommendations!
Easy to read and comforting books:
1. what you’re looking for is in the library
2. before the coffee gets cold
3. dallergut dream department store
4. the miracles of the namiya general store
Good reads but may be a little emotionally taxing
1. Almond
2. And how does that make you feel?
3. Breasts and eggs
4. Butter
Ashley! It’s okay the banana bread flopped on your first time, it happens! don’t mash the banana too much, add at least 3 cups of flour too and keep adding flour if your batter is runny and don’t stir too much because it’s not cake batter yk so the batter needs to be thick and you should be able to see the banana bits. it helps to watch a lot of Tiktok videos as well
I saw "Catch-22" on that cafe bookshelf, Ashley. I'd say that's a must-read...maybe for your trip to London! Safe travels!

hi ashh, thank you for always accompanying me w your vlogs!! ❤
thank YOUUUU for being here !! 🫶🏻
never stop vlogging 😭 best series on the tube!!!
ahhh!!! i needed this today
i really like "city of girls" by elizabeth gilbert. it's this story set during WW2 of a young woman, who fails her first year at some girl school/university i don't really know and then gets send to new york to stay with her aunt, who owns a theater. it's really well written and i love the in depht description of the characters :) a very fun read!!!
your videos truly make me smile!
Love your vlogs Ashley! They’re so relaxing❤
im so happy you‘re back, ash! ❤️ love from switzerland
the intro is super cute ㅠㅠ and the black hair suits you so well ♡︎
can't wait for more adulting adventures with you ♡︎
Love your blogs, Ashley. Discovering your blogs during the pandemic helps me get through it ❤. Excited for you to go to London! Baking tip: use exact measurements, especially for wet/dry binding ingredients. Book recs for your flight: something lighthearted that I just read was The Seven Year Slip. Currently reading Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow and it’s really good 😊
absolutely in love with your new hair!!
AHH finally an upload!!! Just what I needed hehe thank you Ashley!!
that book cafe concept is so cool!!
when i saw the mixture for your banana bread i knew it would be too liquid 😭 i would’ve add actual flour and mixed instead of puréed! :) just a heads up for your next try 🫶🏻 oh and sift it so you don’t have any clumps inside 🙂↕️ since i have weak arms i know to put enough flour so i feel my muscles start straining when mixing it with a hand whisk 🤣 love your videos as always 🩵
you must know when i'm working the night shift cause you always post just as the week ends and i'm looking for something to unwind to 🥹 thank you so much for your vlogs ash!!
also i just reached the end of the video but LONDONNNNN girl you know what i'm gonna say.... just get off the flight early and pop to ireland 🫶 hehe jk i hope you have an amazing time!
The way I was singing Love 119 when it was mentioned as well 🤣
Missed you Ash. So good to see this post!
Your vlogs are so relaxing to watchhh! I would recommend Before the coffee gets cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi to you. It's about this cafe where you can travel in time but there are some rules. It's short and sweet and it's like a slice of life kinda book it's a very fun read, I think it's something you will like
ahhh i've been loving that you're back with frequent uploads ash! so happy to also see you in your reading era✨ i started mine last year when i got a kindle ereader~
kinda envious that you were able to start a book in that cafe! for some reason i can't start a new book while i'm outside; i have to start it at home, only then can i read it outside once i'm into it😅
i'm not sure what my must-read books would be, but i can give you two of my latest 5-star reads!! if you wanna continue with mystery/thriller, i recc First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston! it was just published in january this year so it's smth more recent hehe oh and there were several plot twists! i read some reviews that said it's a biiit cliche, and tbh i can kinda see it but i just really enjoyed reading it, it was a fun time which is all that matters to me :D
my next recc is Ex-Wife by Ursula Parrott! it's a classic (tho i don't see many ppl talking about it) written in 1929 about life in the 20s as a woman who just got divorced. i know classics can be intimidating or boring BUT this book was really easy to read and felt really modern and ahead of it's time (except for some views by the men but🙄) the dialogue is funny as well and i love the main character too like i was just rooting for her the whole time🥹 oh and it's set in new york btw!!! genuinely think this is one of my favs books so far! it's also my intro to classics and i'm glad i read it! it's also the book that i have underlined the most quotes from haha
btw idk if you know about Goodreads yet but it's a platform where you can see details of a book and check the reviews! i personally use the website cuz i heard the app is really outdated lol
YAYYYY ASHLEY POSTEDDDD!!!!!!!
subscribed coz i love your vibe, ashley! ❤
AHHHH Ashley posted omg 🥹🫶🫶
I HOPE YOU ENJOY!!!!
Your new hair looks so good!!!!!
ahhh thank yoU!!!
Cant wait to see an update on your banana bread progress🤣🤩 also im subscribed!!
U look soo pretty with the new hair!!❤
I'm early!! yayyy I love watching your video. Please upload more 💕💕
initially you can bake it a lower temperature! but if its wet after baking you can lower the temp and put a parchment paper so the top wont burn😁
loveee the hair💖
You just convinced me to dye my hair back to black😂 I'm getting tired of coloring my roots over and over again
The song in the intro is so pretty
Love seeing life updates ❤ You should watch the psychological thriller Shutter Island! Not a book rec but it’s an amazing movie with an asylum mystery 😂 but you’re definitely right about asylum themes being overdone lol.
Yayy🎉new episode ❤
“I’m looking like a Pilgrim today”!! 😂😂 girl is that what you were going for?? lol 💗
Have a great time in London!
머리 넘 이쁘다 웅니야 😍😍
출장 조심히 잘다녀와아아아😍😍
Was so surprised you go to Captain Housae!! Bcs one of my fav youtubers (q2han) also goes there!! Anyways i love this vlog!! And your new hair looks so good😆🫶🏼
Also do you like mystery books?? I’d recommend books by Agatha Christie! They’re so good :D
omg me too i saw lumio and instantly reminds me of qwon and qjin lol
@@sihyeonsenthusiast3776 right!!😂😂
i'm no banana bread expert but from when i have made it, i've always used flour and really brown bananas! i've also heard that adding foil can prevent it from burning at the top. i've baked a lot and i'm still learning...
Yeah ~! another wonderful vlog
Recommendations:
1. The silent patient
2. Anxious People
3. Any Fredrick Backman book
4. The Daevabad Trilogy
5. An ember in the ashes series
in love with ashthetic
must-read book for me is "If we were villains", it's a mystery thriller, there's quite a few characters so I'm not sure how you would feel about that but you could give it a shot, I highly recommend
Thanks for another vlog!!! Some book recommendations:
1) Please Look After Mom by Shin Kyung-Sook
2) Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 by Cho Nam Ju
3) Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
4) Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
Not you singing riize lmao so unserious I love it
Recommending Duck & Waffle Local at 52 Haymarket St James's Market in London. The duck is made sous vide, so good ❤
ohh she's coming to the same hair salon with the Q2HAN!
Always waiting 😂
Fav intro ❤
영상 잘 봤어!! 런던 조심히 잘 갔다 와ㅎㅎ
I think part of the reason the banana bread was a bit burnt at the top but wet on the inside was because of the thick baking pan? I think it cooks more evenly if the baking pan is thinner (metal loaf pan) or maybe cover the top with foil for the first part of baking then removing it towards the end for that brown...
also waiting a couple mins before slicing makes it uhmm set a bit and dry up abit
good day ashley and everyone here who's a fan of her awesome vlogs!!
im almost done reading angela duckworth's 'grit' from libby - so many good titles in there - and i will highly recommend to anyone
a must-read for me will be haruki murakami's dance dance dance (and its related books)
Love your hair❤
you should have an affiliate link for the dyson. You totally convinced me to get one!
That Harper Lee book you couldn't get into was actually the rejected first attempt at To Kill a Mockingbird. The author never wanted it published, so they waited to cash in until after she passed. After reading it (part of it anyway), I understand why she felt that way!
I would reccomend the book called "The Accidental Malay" that I read recently by an asian author called Karina Robles Bahrin. Really great book that explores a lot of the ideals of how women should be in asian families.
Hi Ashley !!!! ❤️❤️
HIIIII! :D
a must-read book for me is "Who am I, and if so how many" by Richard David Precht. some light philosophic reading about the "big questions".
Yesssssssss finally 🌞🤍
Behind Closed Doors by B. A. Paris. A quick read but it's sooooooooo good, it immediately pulls you in.
Love your video ❤❤❤❤❤❤ please drop of your stretching routine 😊❤ good luck with your trip
Love your video❤❤❤
normal people by sally rooney (some people don’t like it, but I LOOOOVE IT)
Love u❤❤❤
ohh elago phone case?
hi ashley! wheres your pink jersey from?
book recs? I'M HERE. my favorite authors rn are celeste ng (actually writing my masters on everything i never told you) and fredrik backman (i really recommend anxious people and a man called ove! also his beartown series), so anything you can get your hands on from them i recommend 100% if you like romances then i recommend emily henry's books (happy place, book lovers, beach read). i also love taylor jenkins-reid (the seven husbands of evelyn hugo, malibu rising, carrie soto is back). if you want something weirder this year i loved bunny by mona awad and eyes are the best part by monika kim. i prefer some funny/cozier murder mysteries so like everyone in my family has killed someone by benjamin stevenson or the thursday murder club by richard oseman. yellowface by r.f. kuang, the vanishing half by brit bennett. for some memoirs, i LOVED paris hilton's and also danny trejo's (that man has had a LIFE!). do you have a favorite genre?
Book recommendation : I don’t know if you’ve read it yet but The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, the saga, is sooooo addictive !
I definitely recommend reading it !!!
Hi Ashley! Here's my 📚 recommendation: Everything You Want Me to Be by Mindy Mejia
If you like mystery, try reading “tell me your dreams” or “The Other Side of Midnight“ by Sydney Sheldon
He probably didn’t lie to you he just likes things that you don’t 💗💗💗💗 I love a more wet banana bread
What is name of first song ?
I would highly recommend you to read the Inheritance Game series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes! It has 3 books and each one if a page turner. The genre is more escape room themed with a mix of rich meets poor
Talking about banana which is my fav fruit , today i tried it with ground beef and fried eggs and OMG FUCKING YUMMMMMMMY
HUHHH really1?!??!!
@@ashleybchoi oh yes , you should try it , just cook the ground beef with banana and on the other side cook the scrambled eggs and enjooooy ✌️
My recommendations:
1. Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi (tw: part of the book takes place during the transatlantic slave trade; a really beautiful book nonetheless)
2. Shadow Speaker by Nnendi Okorafor (afro-sci-fi, phenomenal. If listeninng to music while reading is your thing I recommend Abel Selaocoe, Bassekou Kouyate, and a plethora of other West-African griots.)
3. The Death of Vivek by Akwaeke Emezi (moving, incredibly well written)
4. My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite (a quick and captivating read)
5. Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata (slice of life)
The Silent Patient!
new vid!!! 🥹🤍
yesss!!! hope you enjoy ☺
As an engineer involved in making Dyson Airstrait, thank you. 🤭🤭🤭
just started following here. saying hi from dayton ohio usa
If you haven't read "Think like Monk", you should.... it's really good...
Book recommendation - The island of the seawomen by lisa See.
Its a historical fiction set in jeju Island and its a story of friendship and love.
Try Freida McFadden books especially ‘Never Lie’
Ash, i think its because you use a puree tool intead of a mixer. And you should have a complete recipe hahaha
i would say the bread is either too much milk or egg (i think 2 is ok) 🫣
Have you tried to read books by Sidney Sheldon? If you like suspense and thrillers by the way. His characters are typically smart and cunning. Lots of motives. Good reads.
Loving the dark brown on ya!
Thank ya!!! 😚😚
when she started stretching, i followed suit 😂
Lol I could give you a whole list of book recommendations but the first must-read that you have probably heard of if you have been on BookTok , The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (loosely inspired by the life of Elizabeth Taylor). But if you want mystery/thriller the author Karin Slaughter comes to mind first. She has written a lot so i started with her Grant county series. But i have also heard her standalone books Pretty Girls and False Witness are really good. The Inheritance Games is super popular. Romance mixed with mystery/thriller. This series is under the young adult category so it is good if you want a lighter/easier fun
read.
Wait you seriously call 119 for a beehive in Australia we don’t do that we call the insect and critters experts lol 😂
Have you read pachinko?
I tried but didn’t like it :-(
