I just bought this machine from AllBrands. Great price, great free offers, great customer service. Can't wait to get it. I also have the Brother Quattro for about 15 yrs. Great machine also. Hopefully I will be starting a small business.
@@allbrands1976 I wonder if it is best to order this machine or try to figure out if/where it is being sold in Northern Virginia. It is time for an upgrade as I have a Bernina Deco 650...good machine but I have totally outgrown it. Thanks so much for responding!

Hi, I am new to embroidering and I just purchase this machine and trying to set it up. I was looking at the Embroidery frame display, it shows in centimeters however I was wondering if it can be changed to show in inches on this screen? TIA
I just got my machine from you all. Love it. I am trying to register it, etc. but they are working on their website. Do you knw when it will be back up? Thanks.
Can you tell me what the tension is set to? Mine came out of the box at 0 but,y threads are continuously breaking. This is my 4th brother and never had a problem
The default tension setting should work out of the box for most threads and fabrics. Please bring it to your closest Brother dealer to check it out: www.brother-usa.com/dealer-locator
@@allbrands1976 My new PE 800 also was cane set to zero. You have to set the tension yourself. No machine should sew at no (zero) tension. The manuals tell you tou set tension according to the type of thread and fabric and needle you are using. Tension involves all of these:)
My new PE 800 arrived set at zero as well. You have to set it yourself. Most sewing machines recommend 4. I set my embroidery machine to 3 for what I’ve done so far. Much depends on the fabric type, needle and thread including bobbin thread. Eons ago i had to replace the bobbin case becaus I had bobbin thread show through even after loosening the top tension. Once i got the replacement bobbin case i had no more issues with show through and setting the top tension to 3 or 4. Your bobbin case might need adjustment.
Thank you for explaining. I never own embroidery machine. I looking into buy brother nq1700 of this machine. I am totally new lol. I have a question what kind thread do you use for good quality and last long. Thinking of doing sweater, hoodies, t shirt, sleeve, sweatpants and etc. And what needle for it. What kind of digitized software is good for beginner to upload my own design. Sorry lots of question 😅
Brother makes great quality embroidery thread. Also Robison Anton, Glide, and Exquisite are great to you. They are all polyester. The BES Blue is a good start, then the next step would be BES 4 which is better or PE Design 11 which is the best.

Very nice machine! Looks like it has all the features that I am looking for...esp ref quilting. What is maintenance like for this machine? Thanks
Brother has the best warranty program on the market, and are the easiest to repair because of Japanese engineering. They are very well made..

Barbara, Brother platform may be down until next week. Not to worry. You only need your POP receipt for any warranty coverage. John
Hi Barbara, some platforms are up now. Try again.
I got this and LOVE ❤️ it
Can you do appliqués with this machine?
This machine is perfect for appliques. If you use it with the ScanNCut it's a win win.
